Convenient central location, comfortable and stylishly presented with a good breakfast.

There is no lift to the third floor so ask for a second floor room if this is an issue. The shower is good but quite small and a larger person would not fit in it. Take insect spray as there were many mosquitoes in our room, we were told October is the season for them.

Great location — most major landmarks are within a 15-minute walk. There’s a budget-friendly mini market nearby, as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. Transport - Both train and taxi station are very close. The room was clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and enough space, even though it wasn’t very large. The bathroom was also clean and well-stocked with toiletries, but the shower was quite small. The staff was professional and helpful, although we didn’t need much assistance during our stay. Breakfast was generous, though it could use more variety. One downside was the central AC — we could only turn it on or off, but couldn’t adjust the temperature, which was uncomfortable on some hotter nights. Although the building has an elevator, there are about 20 additional steps to reach the rooms, which might be an issue for guests with mobility difficulties. All in all, it’s a solid 3-star accommodation. I would recommend it, especially if the minor drawbacks mentioned aren’t a concern for you.

This was a gem of a find, super central location, easy walk from the station, good restaurants and all main sights. Relatively quite despite the central location, and very modern and spacious in both the rooms and public spaces (and despite being in a very old building). Clean and comfortable, good breakfast. Loved the added touch of the filtered water machine in the corridor and jugs in the room.

Slightly tricky to find the first time - big wooden door with an intercom buzzer next to it naming the hotel, and the door will be opened when you ring. (there is also a rear entrance on a side street which we ended up finding first!)

3* hotel but staff were 4* so helpful and friendly, excellent location, very quirky hotel

Hard to find on first day, hotel has 2 entrances and door on via Fossi was closed.

Gorgeous old hotel, great breakfast in a beautiful dining room, large spacious room and bathroom. Convenient to everything including the railway station once we got familiar with the way around the area. Great having 24/7 ability to refill water bottles with filtered water

Staff didn't speak English particularly well. Address on booking.com takes you to the back side of the hotel with giant closed doors and a buzzer which confused us and trying to find it using google maps was a disaster! Main entrance is actually on the very narrow Via Del Moro, number 15 straight opposite Garga restaurant. Our room was like a sauna in April and they weren't able to put on the air conditioner as not summer or winter but they brought us a fan for overnight. If we opened the window it was too noisy from bars and traffic and mossies came in.

great location, beautiful rooms, great breakfast. Cleaning and breakfast staff were wonderful. Water dispenser for sparkling and flat… very nice, plus kettles in the room. beds were comfortable and rooms nicely decorated.

really nothing. we had to walk up 2 flights to get to our rooms… this might be a problem for some… when booking check about this. Showers a a bit small… hard to shave legs… and still very nice.

I had a great experience. Hotel rooms are spacious, very neat, and clean. I had requested a hard pillow, and it was already there in my room upon arrival. The Washroom has got a bidet. I walked around 7,8 mins from Florence train station (Novella) to reach the hotel. There are many restaurants and bars around the hotel. Most of the tourist attractions were approx 20 mins walk from the hotel. Breakfast was also hood with decent food options. Marco from the reception was a professional and courteous. Hotel reception is very, very small, which doesn't do justice to the superb rooms. Would love to go back.

The location worked out perfectly for us - close to the train station and car rental just a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is very well maintained and clean and most importantly air conditioning was available. Also a fan. The breakfast was tasty and had everything needed - eggs, bacon, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, different kinds of pastry, cheese and bread. There was staff available to make latte or cappuccino at the breakfast room. I loved the fact that the breakfast starts early - at 7:30.

Good location as most everything was within walking distance. Train station and other tour meeting spots were easy to get to. The breakfast was simple but had enough variety and was very good. The room was a good size, and the bonus for us was the two bathrooms - made getting ready quick for our group.

The A/C was not operational (March 20-24). Opening the windows was recommended, but it was not a good option as it didn't help much, it allowed flying bugs into the room, and the street noise was very loud at night (restaurant/bar below). Seemed odd they couldn't enable it for use on two of the nights.
