The room was very clean with all equipments needed for a solo traveler for a night stay, shower equipments, towels, hair dryer, water and mini fridge. There’s a locker you can keep your luggage in, during check out day. The location is great, couple minutes walk from Santa-Maria train station and another many attractions in the center of Florence. The staff were nice and kind.

I took the first room in the lobby and could hear everything happening in the lobby. I told the receptionist and he was willing to help me and change the room but the hotel was fully booked. Anyway I definitely recommend staying in this place.

The hotel is discreetly located on the second floor of an old building of mixed business and residential use, identified only by a brass plaque on the outside wall. The huge door is electronically operated and opens into a large tiled hallway with one of those lifts with an outer iron gate and inner wooden glazed doors. What an entrance, and such a stark contrast when you reach the modern bright clean lines of the hotel. The hotel feels very new, some work was continuing during our stay but was never any problem. It feels to be designed very much with the guest in mind; there’s a large and comfortable open sitting area, high table with stools, cool water tap, and a block of lockers to store bags securely. The bedroom was large enough with adequate storage and a really comfortable chair, plus a kettle and a fridge. The bathroom was fresh with a great shower. Everything was spotlessly clean, the ladies even mop the stone stairs to the second floor - that’s a flashback for a woman in her 60’s! We had a lovely friendly welcome, were shown to our rooms and the mechanics of the door card for electrics explained. There’s no breakfast offered at the hotel, as far as I know, but there’s a brilliant cafe directly opposite, used regularly by locals, where the food and coffee are amazing - hot breakfasts, pastries, sandwiches and cakes - to eat in or take away. Wi-Fi at the hotel is excellent, and a clear contact instruction for when staff are not on the premises. I was very impressed after hearing a guest report the lack of hot water, a technician was promptly called and the matter resolved super quickly, great to see that the hotel listened and cared. One other thing I’d like to mention, there’s an excellent vegan restaurant just five minutes down the street, turn right out of the hotel, Nirvana - perfectly brilliant menu, delicious food and the best friendly staff. The hotel location was perfect for us, everything within a 10 to 15 minute walking distance.

No major problems at all. We had added a room to our original booking, at short notice, to have a room each, it was curious that the room allocated to my young, super fit daughter was equipped with a bathroom for someone with disabilities, while, as a larger lady, my bathroom was just a little bit narrow. Of course if we had found it a huge problem we could simply have switched rooms ourselves. I had a bother on the first morning when I couldn’t get out of the locked door to the lift and stairwell, eventually a guest arrived and showed me that the middle light switch automatically unlocks the door!

A wonderful modern brand new hotel in the heart of Florence... The ByPillow hotel rooms are all fresh decorated in an upbeat modern style. The community living room area is lovely to meet and greet people or to simply sit with a coffee in hand, send off a few emails before wandering around the city! The team of this small jewel were incredible kind and very welcoming. The manager Simone is a true leader in his field, full of life and with a heart of gold, making sure each and every guest was catered to with care. A true people's person which I strongly belief is the key to succes in any work field. I'd say book this boutique hotel for you will stroll around "The Walking Museum called Florence" with joy and a bride smile on your face. Thank you Simone! The price I paid for my room was lower than any other ugly places in the area making it an excellent value. The location is great, a few minutes away from the train station but on a quiet street. The room was not really spacious, but recently renovated with good taste and overall really comfortable. I appreciated the coffee station in the lovely common area. For those who need it, there is also a locker area to store your luggage after check-out. I will definitely consider Bypillow for my next stay in Florence!

Everything was good, but if you're claustrophobic, the bathroom of my room was really small, making it hard to sit on the toilet. Also, if you're a light sleeper and you have the AC on (even for heating), it can wake you up when it turns on, but it's just a small detail.

location was amazing, with a nice and quiet street. Under the hotel there was a good bakery with a discount. The room was very good. The stuff were very helpfull with al the tons of questions about the city. I am not sure if it was a misunderstanding- i asked them where to buy cheeses and if there is a market and they told me thet there isn't or that they meant that it's not good to buy there. I found by myself a market near Academia gallery. They have amazing elevator- am atrraction for itself.

We forgot to put the cleaning sign on the first day and i felt that they were doing a check on the room and just organized the beds but everything else was amazing and the days after when we put the sign they cleaned it very good.

The hotel was in a great location - close to the train and close to the city center where you will find all the touristy sights. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. There was a hairdryer, kettle, mini fridge and even a steamer for clothes.

The door was not very sound proof so you can hear any and all noises coming from the hallway and lobby.

Staff were amazing and went above and beyond to help me. Password required to access building. Exceptionally clean and renovated in last 6 months. Comfortable bed. Easy to operate aircon/heat. Hand held and rainfall shower. Filtered water and espresso machine in lobby. Large bottle provided to take water to room. Comfortable lobby to lounge in. Great location.

No fan in bathroom. No shelf for toiletries in bathroom. Desk, fridge, side table are to big for room. I couldn’t open fridge without moving side table.

Nice location. We thought we were entering a haunted building with creaking front door and very old elevator. This ended up being a feature and highlight. Very pleasant staff.

No breakfast facilities however a few cafes were nearby so this wasn't significant. Taking the back streets from the main train station to the Hotel didn't feel very safe but we learnt to take a different route which felt much safer.

The rooms were exactly as pictured online, the check - in and check - out process was seamless and the location couldn’t have been better. Our towels were changed daily and the room was maintained well. We didn’t make much use of the common area but saw several other guests enjoying it. Overall, an excellent value for the price and I’m glad we booked here!

The cleanliness of the room. The Hospitality of the staff. The Communication via booking about the timings and arrival arrangements etc.

The main door was often found open which is not safe and people not staying at the hotel can enter. While inside the room, everything could be heard from outside the room from the corridor to people talking in loud voice. The reception not being available 24/7.
