We had the best stay. Our host made sure we were made so very welcome. We stayed in a river view room which was beautiful with everything we needed. The view from our balcony was so good and the free bar most definitely made us feel welcome and at home. We will be coming back here for sure. Adriana's cocktails - Aperol Spritz & Limoncello Spritz between 5 & 7pm daily. Friendly hosts. Happy hour between 5 & 7pm, to enjoy drinks & local snacks with the hosts and other guests. Drinks and snacks from the common room included. Comfy room with old style furniture, but modern bathroom. Common room overlooking the river. Walking distance to the Duomo, Uffizi and other attractions.

Not so much a not like but a warning. Most power points are the old Italian standard not the current Euro standard. We found a small shop nearby selling converters (from old Italian to Euro) which were cheap and worked.

The location was phenomenal, right on the river Arno with a balcony which directly overlooks. The hotel itself is a boutique hotel which is decorated very nicely and well stocked with free amenities including complimentary alcohol. It is exceptionally close to all of the major landmarks and attractions. The staff were so helpful and always available to answer questions or give recommendations on what to see and where to eat, we found two great restaurants based on their recommendations. The owner also gave us some local delicacies to try such as parmesan and homemade limoncello. Safe to say, if I ever return to Florence I will re-book this hotel in a heartbeat.

Francesco and Adriana were great, very welcoming, and helpful. The hotel dog Lupo was a great bonus, as we were missing our furry child. They had a great selection of snacks and refreshments available free of charge, which was a great bonus. The room was very clean and had plenty of room. We were impressed at how quiet the room was, the only noise came through the vent in the bathroom, which was easily solved by keeping the bathroom door closed at night. The location is very convenient for all of the tours we had planned and the best gelato was a pleasant walk over the bridge. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and also a market and pharmacy. There is a laundry service that allowed us to not have to pack 2 weeks worth of clothing which was helpful.

The room we had (#6) had a nice view of the Arno, but the terrace on the website makes it look like there is a sizeable area when in fact it only has room for a small table and 2 chairs. The lighting is a bit dim if you want to read, and their is no shelf space in the bathroom. For us these did not detract from the overall satisfaction of the stay.

This is by far the best hotel/villa I have stayed…why? The owner was incredible! Francesco thought of everything. He was kind, always offering us drinks, snacks and great conversation. His employee Adriana was also exceptional! I love how they treated each other and were like family, family that you actually want to spend time with. Now our room and the hotel itself was beautiful. I thought the room was ample space with a modern bathroom and a lovely balcony to view Ponte Vecchio and the Arno River (room 9). 10-12 min walk to basically everything you want to see in Florence. Finally…the hotel dog, Lapos, was such a wonderful soul and further contributed to our perfect stay! Thank you

Francesco, the owner, is very friendly and always there to help you with advice on how to get presscription medicines, where it is best to rent a car, where to dine etc. In all hours, you can walk into the lobby and take some cookies with water, soda, beer, or a bottle of wine. Francesco also has a very friendly big poodle that you fall in love with right away. But the best quality of Residenza Vespucci is its location. Very central yet facing the Arno river with good air, lot of great restaurants and the best sites just minutes away.

Francesco is an exceptional host. This is a boutique hotel with I think less than ten rooms, and a personality all its own. The access is tricky though, as the lobby and receiving area are not on the first floor and the signage in the street level is a little obscure, but it's all fine in the end. My daughter and I had the suite, which was just lovely; my friend had a single room and while small (not so really by European standards) her balcony and view down the Arno was fantastic. The staff could not have been more helpful in recommending restaurants; reserving early morning cabs to the airport; giving us maps of our location and nearby attractions, etc. If I'm lucky enough to go back to Florence, I won't stay anywhere else.

Francesco (owner) and Adriana (employee) were fantastic. They made one feel like they’re at home. They had snacks and drinks available to their guests at all times. They also had happy hour every evening which was a good way to meet other guests. Adriana makes great drinks. Everyone is so nice. The room was very comfortable. We had a balcony that overlooked the Arno river. There is a coffee maker in the room and a mini fridge. When we needed advice on what to do, they were great in providing it. They also helped with train & taxi reservations.

The location, the hospitality, the helpfulness, the cozy atmosphere... Never before been in an accomodation where after a long day you can sit down and people ask if you want a limoncello spritz (made from home made limoncello), GT, a glass of wine or just a coke. It was nice to grab a focaccia behind the corner, take an apple and a juice from hotel's fridge, made a coffee in my room with the capsula machine and enjoy the breakfast on the balcony with amazing view. I also ended up to have a dinner in a lovely, authentic restaurant nearby with the help of the staff, they even offered to call a reservation for me since it couldn't be done online. I don't know how to thank you enough, this was a unique experience and definitely great if you're traveling solo.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Francesco and Adriana went above and beyond to make our 3 nights in Florence wonderful. They took care of registering our car and handicap card with the police so that we could drive and park with ease in the ZTL zone without being fined. They are both warm lovely, hosts and a pleasure to talk to. Our room was equipped with everything from, toothbrushes, to robes and slippers. We had plenty of hot water, enough space to hang our clothes and a magnificent view with a balcony, table and chairs. There was a fridge with bottled water, a kettle and coffee machine in the room. In the lobby there are snacks and a fridge full of water and drinks, all free of charge. The hospitality of this gem right next to the Arno and walking distance to everything is fantastic!
