We had the delux king room, we went off season in December so I thought for the grandeur of the room it was good value for the money. It’s not a hotel, it’s simply rooms but there’s a fridge and a coffee machine where they replace the pods daily. A little tatty round the edges but the bathroom was fab, the room generally was fab and the location was amazing. People had complained about the noise on reviews but I didn’t find it noisy at all and we were on the street. We loved the decor, it’s quite faded glamour but we love that. Overall it was a great stay.

Upholstery(chaise lounge) could do with a deep clean and walls could have done with a fresh paint in the room But otherwise it was great.

The Palazzo has been around since the middle ages, and combines the ambiance of those good old days with all the modern conveniences, i.e. unbelievably high frescoed ceilings and cornices, huge double shuttered window with view, together with internet, TV, bidet. We stayed in the Junior Garden Suite. The bed was King size and higher than usual as befitting royalty, and the room was so large you could get a running start flying leap onto it. Maid service was excellent and courteous, with plenty of coffee pods for good expresso, mini bar, large bath towels, etc. daily. The location is excellent for 10-15 min walking access to the main tourist attractions just across the river so no need for taxis. Lots of local nightlife and restaurants just outside the main entrance. Our room was on the river side with a garden view so was very quiet. This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful! We stayed in the room with the cream bed and the renaissance art work on the ceiling. The room as soon as you enter and see the 20ft high ceiling and chandelier it’s absolutely breathtaking. The location is perfect everything you would want to see in Florence is a 10 to 15 minute walk. There is a very nice coffee shop next door to the hotel that opens from 10am and closes around midnight. The shower gel in the bathroom smells incredible and our room was cleaned daily. We loved the very high bed and it’s very comfortable. Be prepared to be extremely happy with your stay.

My husband and I stayed at 6 different hotels/airbnbs during our travel through Italy and Palazzo D’Oltrarno was my ABSOLUTE favorite! We stayed in the King Room with a garden view… absolutely perfect! The room was huge and beautiful. From the painted ceilings to the romantic decor, 10/10. I would personally recommend to anyone to stay on the other side of the river! the hotel is right next to the bridge so the walk is hardly a walk a all. location is PERFECT!! staff was very welcoming and helpful too. We drove our own car and parked at Garage Lungarno. not quite close enough to walk w lots of luggage, but if you have just a carry on or small bag you definitely can. otherwise I would recommend to drop off luggage then park. Bathroom was very clean too! Really appreciative they had a safe too! 10/10, would definitely stay there again if we return back to Florence! Which i hope we do:) Some other recs for anyone curious: lunch at Four Leoni (get the lasagna & pear ravioli), dinner at Osteria Giovanni (florentine steak was incredible), do a past pass through Get Your Guide to see David, & shop! For reference, we stayed here in mid September 2024.

Only complaint is from my husband who says the sheets were scratchy, but he’s picky so take that with a grain of salt. I slept great!

The bed is big and comfortable enough to sleep. The room is placed in a half floor (between the first and second floor) without elevator so if you have big luggages you have to carry them. There is a refrigerator in the room. The communication with the hotel is perfect, they answer late calls and accepted our last minute booking.

There is no flexibel shower head but only a fixed, stable one. Furthermore there is a buzzing noise in every minute probably from the air conditioner. In addition to that there is no real sunlight in the room but only from the interior corridor however it's advantage that you cannot hear the noise of the street.

The room was beautiful and it was super easily accessible. The woman at the reception was super helpful and sweet. Let me check in before the designated time and also let me keep my bags at the property even after I checked out. The room was super comfortable and everything provided in the room is super helpful to your stay. It is also located in a really nice area in Florence and you are able to get everywhere easily. I would 100% go back in the future when visiting Florence!!

Great, central location, spotlessly clean, amazing building with all old original features, lovely staff.

Bring earplugs - this didn't bother me as I always have them, but the building is a bit echoey due to its old design and sound from the bars travels The air conditioning unit didn't work but there was one, and had we asked, they would have sorted it. We didn't need it, because the room's temperature was good, and the air from the large windows cooled us when necessary.

It was an amazing accommodation. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood, with lots of amazing restaurants and bars, and it's close to all of the attractions and museums you have to visit while you stay in Florence. The staff is polite and helpful, they even prepared our room in advance for an easier check in. The room was absolutely stunning. We truly recommend this place!
