The rooms was okay, as it needs to be in a hostel and the kitchen equipments in the common area were enough for everyone. It was a bit far from the landmarks but it was not a big deal. When you walk for about 15 minutes, you can easily reach there.

I am just writing the points to inform the guests who are planning to stay here:) Since the city was pretty hot in summer and the building is old, the rooms become really hot -especially at night. There was a portable air conditioner in the room but the weather was so hot hat it was not enough for everyone, just keep it in mind :) Another thing is that there is not any elevator in the building and the stairs are a bit steep. I totally understand that it is because of the building but I am writing this just as a reminder.

The rooms were comfortable, and the bathroom/kitchen facilities were good. Lots of common spaces.

The laundry process at this hostel was rather complicated - there is only one washer and dryer and they both take standard European times (1-2 hours each). I wouldn't recommend planning to do laundry at this location because it was such a hassle. After a certain time, the bathrooms got quite messy. I'd recommend showering earlier rather than later. The shared fridges in the kitchen were great but I would be careful about keeping your food in them, particularly on Friday/Saturday nights. I came back both nights to find parts of my food had been taken

Why are all European hostels so good?! This one was one of the best hostels I've been to! The location of the hostel isn't the closest to the city centre, but since Florence is a very small town, the location didn't seem far at all. The rooms were spacious and quiet. I travelled in the summer, so an air cooler was provided in the room and it was very helpful. The toilets were really nice too, since I haven't come across hostel bathrooms with interesting layouts. Also, I didn't need to use the kitchen, but the space was really big. The dining area was even bigger and very very clean. Tip: Schiacia Passera on Via dello Sprone 13R had the most amazing Schiacciate near the hostel. Definitely recommend grabbing dinner from there and having it at the hostel's dining area.

My only issue was the the room had one switch to all the lights. So, if one person is sleeping in one end of the room and I need a light at the other end of the room, I had to switch on all the lights. I had to use my phone's flashlight so as to not disturb the ones sleeping. Also, one of the staff wasn't the friendliest, but the other one was super friendly and I loved talking to her. My room had 2 toilets but the flush on one of them wasn't working. Anyways, they fixed it once I notified the reception! So overall, there was nothing very wrong with this place! I know this isn't relevant here, but the coffee shops near the hostel aren't good at all. That's my only negative. No good coffee near the hostel.

The workers here are very friendly and helpful. And the hostel is big so it does not feel like you are in a cheep hostel. The bed was okay (if you are tall its going to be a problem though. And people in the shared rooms sleep very early so it's certain that you are going to be welcomed by a dark room when you come back at night. Bring a small powerless flashlight. I used 1 lumen mode to see what Im doing. Dont just open the lights and bother people. Also don't forget to bring a lock.

This isnt a must and this is just something I wish the common room had. I wish the common room had something like a couch instead of all wood sitting places.

The location is perfect everything is within walking distance. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, some of the friendliest I’ve met in a hostel. It was clean and had a warm atmosphere. I also used the free luggage storage after check-out, and my belongings were completely safe. As a traveler from Turkey, I’ve been away for a while and really missed the warmth of Mediterranean people. The staff here, especially the woman on the night shift and the morning staff, made me feel at home.

The only downside was that it got a bit cold at night.

The location was fantastic, located nearby the pitti palace and boboli gardens, as well as a laundromat and photo booth on that street. The staff were very friendly, the shared kitchen was helpful for keeping a few things, and people were generally friendly, rooms were organised and bathrooms were spacious enough. Doors lock automatically so you don’t have to worry about the safety issue there, and each bed has its own key.

Be mindful the kitchen can be chaotic so don’t rely on it too much as we had someone eat from our cereal, so keep that in mind. Only real issue was the bathrooms, where water sprayed directly out of the shower and flooded the floor, making it difficult to get changed in the same cubicle and shower properly. Sensory lights also very dodgy and can leave you in the dark, and if someone turns off the light in the room then it goes off in the bathroom too.

I loved how close the location was to the city's main attractions. That made moving around the city a lot more affordable and easy. Likewise, I enjoyed the people who stayed at the hostel; a lo of people were around y age so it was very fun meeting other travelers from other parts of the world.

The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was that I was only given one sheet as a blanket and the room window was open in weather that was 45 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm someone who runs very cold so this to me was just not very pleasant though I'm sure they would've given me another blanket had I asked.

Would like to thank receptionist, Matheesh Ishan for his outstanding assistance during our stay. I needed a doctor in the middle of the night and Matheesh couldn’t have been more helpful. He gave us recommendations and advised an ambulance and even went out of his way to ensure the cost was covered by the EU health insurance. Matheesh waited outside to flag down the ambulance. Once the ambulance arrived, he translated everything from Italian to English for us! Matheesh’s kind, caring and conscientious personality makes him an asset to the hostel. Thanks so much Matheesh!

The hostel was really great for low cost traveling. For the value of the money it was really comfortable stay. The room had portable AC so it was more pleasant in the night. The location was also great. We went everywhere by foot and were supposed to see a lot in one day. We could also left our things before the actual check-in so we didn't have to take our luggage with us. They also offered to store your luggage for the next day of your check-out.

The luggage room before the check-in was really hot and the air was not circulated right.

The staff were amazing - totally unconnected to the hostel, my phone was stolen. The lady on reception was so kind and let me make an international call while trying to sort everything out. The entire hostel is so clean, there's real effort put into the maintenance of the place. I really liked this hostel.
