The staff were very helpful with one exception. The food was very good, room was fine (bed a bit hard). View was nothing (ruff tops)

Only complaint is that we are in our 70"s and were told that the hotel didn't assist with luggage. It was EXTREMELY difficult for us. For the cost, I was very disappointed.

Staff were excellent. Made our stay. Fantastic location with restaurants close to major attractions. Roof top patio is rated top 5 in Florence which we got to enjoy every morning with breakfast. The staff and team held spots for hotel guests for peak times for cocktail hours at night. Restaurant recommendations were personal and fantastic. We enjoyed one of the best steak dinners that didn’t break the bank. Family room was large and had a separate area for the kids. Fresco on the roof just adds that you are in Florence. A “palazzo” in Italian literally means “palace”, but in practice it usually refers to a grand, historic building, often from the Renaissance. In Florence (and much of Italy). 100% would stay again.

The location was ideal as barely a block from Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens and eateries and sites such as Ponto Vecchio a 10 min walk. My quiet back room and staggering views of Douma and various other Belltowers and hills beyond were just what Id hoped for.Nice hot shower.Great Breakfast.

The toilet had a mind of its own tho ultimately did function effectively each time after a longbpause and bedside lights were dated in need of better wiring.

I would like to live at this hotel. Beautiful and dreamy, with lovely old tall windows that cut the sound from the street. All of the staff treated us like special guests. The rooftop patio was an oasis with excellent food and fabulous cocktails, and while very popular, the staff made sure hotel guests always had a table. Sunday's market in front of the hotel (Piazza Santo Spirito) was the best we found, featuring many talented local artisans.

My husband and I had an incredible stay here for our anniversary! The hotel room was very spacious and had the most beautiful ceilings and decor. It was probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at that combined historic, authentic ambiance with good amenities and space. I also loved the neighborhood we were in. It was more quaint than the other side of the river, but still had great restaurants and local feel. The staff was super friendly and helpful our whole time there. Being able to have breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning was a treat. The views of the city and santo Spirito are great. I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you to the entire staff for making our staying special and memorable!

Our room was very big with a lovely view across the rooftops towards Palazzo Pitti. The terrace wraps two sides of the hotel with wonderful views and a great atmosphere all times of the day. The reception staff were charming and very helpful. Organising our car parking and recommending a place for dinner locally. We loved the area surrounding the hotel and it was a short walk into the very center of Florence.

Breakfast was not particularly well-stocked, and a little underwhelming. The service on the terrace was quite slow. We would have enjoyed another drink but couldn't get the waiter's attention, so we decided to go out.

The hotel is like a little undiscovered gem:You walk through and archway through to an elevator that takes you to the thirdfloor. Here you find the reception and the roof bar/terrace bar. Its situated in a quiet plaza that has a market every day and is peppered by restaurants with outdoor seating. The greeting and communication for the staff is very special - they are so nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is a lovely ancient building probably dating from the 16th Century. The room was large and roomy with old fashioned wardrobe and exposed beams. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely ensuite bathroom. Outside our room was a large landing with a sofa and table which we used as an extra sitting room. The breakfast was lovely and so was the roof bar. The cleanliness was outstanding and the cleaning staff were delightful. I can't really understand why this is classed as a 3 star hotel - its has a wonderful shabby chic vibe and an ambience that makes it feel like a boutique hotel run by a family of taste and style

Only the smallest of niggles: I'd have liked a mirror in the bedroom where you could see yourself at full length - there was a loveolly dressing table and a mirror in the bathroom. Maybe a warning about the entrance in the initial communication from the hotel - when you look up and see the flag you guess that the reception is above and maybe its a nice surprise but when you are a bit tired it would be helpful. One thing I liked (but people of limited mobility may not) is that there are beautiful stone stairs to the rooms

This really was a beautiful Tuscan experience. The location is perfect and away from the hustle and hustle of the main streets but still with a great buzz and lots of food and drinks options. The rooms were just beautiful and the bathrooms are amazing. The staff were so helpful and the bar was a great addition.

Nothing- it was brilliant

Such a beautiful property. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. We had a small balcony overlooking the square. The location was perfect for walking to all the major sites. We also used e-bikes and scooters and there were many around the square. The Loggia bar and breakfast were lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. The square had lots going on including farmer’s and flea markets during the day and live music at night. We loved it! Would stay again.

It does get noisy at night and in the morning being on a main square. The property does everything they can to help mitigate this with reminders posted about closing the shutters tight and ear plugs provided for each guest. It didn’t bother us but if you’re early to bed I could see it being an issue. Perhaps ask for a room furthest away from the square when booking.
