Excellent location. Extremely warm hospitality and very nice staff. Everything is clean. Fully equipped kitchen is nice. The breakfast is great.

The sofa, kids slept on, is not very comfortable. There was a note in the kitchen saying something like "please leave the kitchen in the same condition you found it. If not, we will charge you 50 euros" It was a bit strange to get this note in a 500euro per night apartment, at least for me.

The penthouse suite was spacious, well appointed, beautiful and remarkably convenient. The kitchenette ( which had all the necessary appliances ) was perfect for preparing a simple dinner or nighttime snack for my husband and I. The 360 views of Florence from the apartment were spectacular . We could even see the Duomo from the living room! Of note, this was our fourth trip to Florence over the past 10 years. This hotel room ( or rather suite ) was the best so far. Finally, the location is excellent. We typically stay directly in the old city however this location just a block south of the river was not an obstacle. For example, a guest will be in the main tourist shopping area in 5 min, and Ponte Vechio in 7 min. The hotel was well located for tourism purposes as well. My mother has the standard double room which was quite spacious as well, especially for Europe.

The property itself was great. The stairs in the penthouse could be challenge for older people if the person has disabilities.

We had a great stay here during our trip to Florence. The location is right in the center, which made it really easy to walk to all the main sights, but it was also surprisingly quiet at night which we really appreciated. The room was in perfect condition and very clean. The bed was especially comfortable, one the best we’ve slept in on any trip. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining the place. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They took the time to show us the best places to visit, eat, and explore, which really helped us make the most of our stay. The building itself has a lot of charm and character, with a real sense of history. It added something special to the experience. All in all, a solid 10/10. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Florence.

Had an amazing time in the ground floor apartment. We were greeted by Evita who was really welcoming and gave us so many recommendations. We were pleasantly surprised that we could have daily room service, which included fresh towels and making of the bed, but remember this does not include washing up after you, you do need to do this yourself. The location was fantastic, in a quieter part of the city but still everything within walking distance, even the train station ( but pavements can be a bit bumpy with suitcases). Would definitely recommend.

It would have been nice to have a TV in the sitting area upstairs for a cozy night in with a bottle of wine when you are exhausted from all that Florence has to offer.

The hotel was beautiful! The royal suite was gorgeous, huge and equipped with everything we needed. The bath in the royal suite is amazing! The design of the suite, the roof and the finishing touches are beautiful.

The royal suite is next to the entrance and hotel lobby so we could hear people coming in and out, staff chatting etc during the day.

Great location a few minutes walk to the main places of interest. We had a deluxe suite which was in a separate building across the road from the main hotel. Although a suite, the room did not have a separate lounge, the sitting area being at far end of the room. A nice bathroom and shower with all the usual amenities. All staff were really helpful and did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

No complimentary water is provided, although it is available from the mini bar at a price. Being in the middle of a narrow road, there was no view from the window which you needed to climb three stone steps to look out of.

For one week, we lived a Florentine dream at Palazzo Ridolfi Our apartment welcomed us like a scene from a Renaissance painting, With high ceilings adorned with hand-painted details. The light spilled through the large windows, Where the rooftops of Florence greeted us each morning, Whispering the city’s ancient secrets. The parquet floors creaked softly beneath our steps, The drapes, rich and flowing, framed our days like velvet curtains on a stage. And on the bed, a heart made of red rose petals awaited us. A gesture so delicate, it made us feel instantly cherished. There was a graceful desk inviting reflection. A freestanding bathtub in the bedroom a touch of timeless romance. And a modern bathroom that blended comfort and beauty with quiet ease. Even the little coffee corner in the room brought us warmth each morning. Every detail was lovingly thought out. But it wasn’t just the place—it was the people who made this stay unforgettable. Francesca and Evita… what beautiful souls. Their kindness went beyond hospitality. They became our guides, our helpers, our friends. With every recommendation and thoughtful gesture. They made sure we felt not like guests, but family. Silvia, with her sweet smile, always eager to share tips on where to eat. Sara, a radiant presence, preparing our breakfast with care, her fresh scrambled eggs the perfect start to our day. Natalia, Matteo, Alessio—always smiling, Always ready to offer more than we could ask for. Even when we left for Venice and returned days later, They took care of everything—moving our luggage, keeping everything safe. We felt so deeply taken care of, in every possible way. And the breakfasts… oh, the breakfasts. Perhaps the best we’ve ever had. Palazzo Ridolfi was more than a place to stay, It was a sanctuary. A poetic pause in our journey, A reminder of what it means to feel at home… even when far from home. To everyone who made our stay magical, Thank you! You are now part of our story.

The Palazzo Ridolfi is a truly wonderful place to stay. The reception, headed by Sara, Franchesca and Nataliya, was efficient professional friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the airconditioning worked well for a 40 degree day! My bed was large and comfortable.The bathroom was spotlessly clean with lovely quality toiletries included. The Breakfast was perfect with great croissants not your industrial mini croissant and eggs made to order. An added bonus to take in at breakfast is the fabulous view of the Palazzo Bianca Cappello across the road. The Palazzo Ridolfi is a residenza d'epoca and is a historical building close to all the main attractions Florence has to offer e.g Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace and Piazza della Signora and the Uiffizi gallery. One big bonus of the residenza is the elevator to the 2nd floor Reception. I love Florence and staying at the Palazzo Ridolfi enhances the historical significance of such a wonderful city.

There was one tiny tiny exception to my perfect stay....the television was a little complex to turn on and receive the Sky channels....but that just might have been me.....Ha! Ha!

My family and I enjoyed the beautiful and roomy accommodations and the friendly and helpful staff. We loved the excellent quiet location of the hotel. It offered ample dining, shopping and entertainment options nearby

Housekeeping was not always consistent. Once, we came back in the late afternoon and our rooms were not serviced yet. We also had to request that housekeeping give us enough towels. They were leaving us with 1 less towel for the first few days of our stay. Shampoo was also not being replenished daily. I had to ask the front desk for some.

The staff was wonderful in every respect. I had to leave at 4 AM to catch a 6 AM flight. At check in I expressed concern that my room was on an upper floor without elevator access. Since the desk isn’t staffed at night, I would have to haul my luggage down a flight of stairs which would be quite difficult for me. They kindly changed my room assignment to be main floor where there is elevator access. Staff also spent a lot of time with us looking for restaurant reservations and answering questions, and arranging taxis. They were all extremely welcoming and accommodating.

It isn’t that I didn’t like this, but rather it is something to be aware of because it could be important for some visitors. The desk isn’t staffed at night and not all the rooms are accessible by elevator access. It turned out not to be a problem for me (because they changed my room) and it probably isn’t a problem for younger visitors but it would be much better to have a more accurate listing of amenities. To be fair, after the reservation was made, a detailed confirmation I got indicated the desk was staffed 8 am to 8 pm, which I overlooked. I do not believe it mentioned that the elevator access was not comprehensive.
