Paola and Andrew are SO lovely. They met us at the front of the property and helped us upstairs with our bags. They had the best list of recommendations for the area which was plentiful and led us to a lovely bar for meats & cheeses. The room was lovely with lots of character and a cute view. Location wise it's perfect, right near all the good food and drink and a short walk to the local attractions.

Stronger water pressure would have been nice for a better shower and the shower could have been cleaner. We also prefer firm pillows so the option for a harder pillow would have suited us.

The location was perfect. Everything was walkable. The couple running the place are really friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Its a wonderful building with really nice rooms. True vacation vibes.

This was a great place to stay just across the Ponte Vechhio opposite Palazzo Pitti. The room has a/c which was great because it was very hot while we were there. The directions were helpful and our host was actually waiting outside for us to be sure we found it okay. Really enjoyed our stay there.

Nothing I can think of. If you struggle with stairs, there is a lift, but it is small and very slow. We don't mind stairs, but it would be something to consider for those who don't like them.

The rooms are in an old building just across Palazzo Pitti, there is a bus stop there, the old city center is a short walk away, there are several restaurants and a big supermarket nearby. The staff was very nice and helpful, we could check into our room already in the morning when we arrived, which was very helpful. The room was perfectly clean (there is daily cleaning), the bed was very comfortable which is always a big + in our book. :) There was complimentary coffee, tea and mineral water in the room, restocked daily. We loved staying there, it was close enough to the sights to just go "home" during the day for a quick rest or change.

Heating with the air conditioner did not work.

The location was central but quiet. We felt very safe and comfortable. The room was lovely and had a lovely view over the terracotta rooves nearby. Staff were so friendly and helpful and had great restaurant recommendations. Greatful there was a lift, but the stairs were fine too. The duvet was the nicest we had across 6 different accommodations in the same month. Every where else offers a top sheet and thin blanket, so it was nice to have a luxurious thick weighted duvet at Toscanelli.

Shower was small. Bed mattress and pillows were too soft, but a lot of people will like that.

We really appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of Andrew and Paola during our stay. Andrew even offered to take our notebook to a nearby shop to try and find the right charging cable. The location was great, right across from the Pitti Palace, in a quieter area, but still within comfortable walking distance of the main attractions. Everything was very clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable.

Shower was a little small, but understandable in an older building.

Great location; fun elevator - having a lift in this part of town was deciding factor in choosing this property. Excellent hosts that run the property - went out of their way to help with bags & taxi.

The rooms were small but typical for a 16th century building. Lots of storage to store bags. Shower plumbing could use a bit of maintenance, but it wasn’t a big deal.

Pretty much everything! The welcome from Paola and Andrew (and the communication from them before we arrived) was excellent and warm. The room itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortable - and with a pretty view over the rooftops. We also liked the location - in a quieter part of Florence. Paola and Andrew also gave us some excellent recommendations for restaurants within a few minutes walking distance - always a bonus when you’ve spent the day walking the city.

Can’t think of anything. There was no breakfast available but there was an arrangement with the local cafe and we had a good breakfast there at a discounted rate.

I would definitely choose this place over and over again when visiting Florence. Room was big, clean and the beds VERY comfortable. The location could not be better. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and made us feel super welcome. We wanted to leave our luggage there for a few hours after checking out and they were okay with that and didn't even ask any extra money. If you're looking for a place to stay in Florence then I would 100% recommend this place.

Water pressure was not good and made it a bit difficult to wash.

A beautiful, period Tuscan building with the feel of a villa. Excellent, large room with a very comfortable, sizeable double bed and good storage. The bathroom was good and clean. Tremendous location literally opposite Pitti Palace and a short walk from everything else you would want to see or do in Florence. Although breakfast is not provided, there is a decent discount available at the Bar Pitti just a few yards down the road.

There are three doors to get through which necessitates carrying around a large bunch of keys all day - could keypads be installed perhaps? A little cold in the rooms if there in the winter and making a daytime pitstop in your room from otherwise relentless tourism, as the heating is only set to come on at 6 p.m.
