The room was beautiful, the bed was superbly comfortable and the shower in the big bathroom was fantastic. The staff were very kind and Niccolo went far above and beyond expectations trying to ensure our comfort when there was an issue that was no one's fault. Beautifully located, not just for beautiful Florence and the River Arno but also not far from La Carriara for the best gelato and Gino's Bakery just by the Pointe Vecchio for coffee and fantastic cannoli and everything tastes incredible.

We made the mistake of walking with our bags so we were disheartened when google map directions led us astray a few times before we got to the landmark Palazzo Guicciardini on the Via de Guicciardini - and then realised the hotel Palazzo Guicciardini is on Via Santa Spirito! Best to get a taxi to the hotel then explore Florence without the baggage.

The rooms felt palatial and the alfresco work on the ceilings was exception. The property felt fairly newly renovated and was in the most perfect location and very central. Also please don't go by the review of google as this place is exceptional and superbly located. It's in a ZTL zone but all you have to do is to drive upto the property and they arrange for a pickup and drop service like a valet service which is unique in Europe, also the hotel manages the ZTL permit for the car. It was super cozy and the best part was we covered full Florence on foot because of this property.

From the moment we arrived at Palazzo Guicciardini, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff greeted us kindly and immediately offered us a map of the city, along with thoughtful recommendations for attractions and places to explore in Florence. Their friendliness and helpfulness truly stood out and made us feel right at home. Our room exceeded all expectations – it was absolutely beautiful, full of charm, and incredibly comfortable. You could really feel the historical elegance of the building, yet everything was perfectly maintained and modern where it mattered. What made our stay even more special was the personal touch from the owner, who kindly offered to assist us at any time if we had questions or needed help. It was clear that genuine hospitality is at the heart of this place. Overall, Palazzo Guicciardini was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence!

Everything is Perfect

Great location for exploring Florence, really close to the centre, just across the water. The room was fine, although the bed was a bit small and not that comfortable. Helpful staff and the reception, gladly answered all the questions and helped with some info.

Don't remember whether they stated on the hotel overview the parking situation, but you have to give your car to a guy that comes from a third-party garage and drives off your car. I didn't like that but since there was no other options nearby we had to accept it. The street of the hotel is a really narrow one and there is no space to leave the car and take out your luggage, a bit awkward to unload your car when there are lots of people walking around you.

Great location, walk to everything we needed. Loved having the wine window in the street outside. The decoration of the rooms was lovely, the room was spacious and clean. Staff, especially the gentleman who check us in were amazing.

The description said two beds in our room but in fact the one was a sofa bed and I was a bit confused about that.

In short, this was an amazing experience. location is perfect. even getting in by car was ok, a little scary but easy enough, and the valet took the car and bought it back for check out. The street has a wine window! its old, but very modern, and the decoration was perfect for the area and florence. Breakfast was simple but fresh, and we were well taken care of. It feels a very personal experience.

Excellent location in S.Spirito area. Incredible interiors, not too mention attentive and welcoming staff who were able to help at all times. Breakfasts are filling (and sweet!). The Palazzo is located amidst some of the best restaurants in Florence and is very close to Pitti Palace, Uffizi and shopping.

The site is a floor in an antique building & is beautiful & cozy. The staff were friendly & responsive. I also liked that the hotel was on the less busy side of the Arno & yet close to the Ponte Vecchio.

I wished that the staff stayed a bit longer than 7 pm to respond to guest needs. Nevertheless, there was a number to call in case of emergencies. The dining room for breakfast was lovely, but as someone who needs to avoid sugars & carbohydrates, I would have appreciated a bit more protein at breakfast. There were various yogurts available, but boiled eggs would have been helpful.

The location is amazing. The room is very spacious and beautiful. There is amazing artwork all over the room on the walls on the roof everywhere everything was beautiful the furniture was amazing. The bathroom was new and renovated. It has a large shower.

The AC did not work properly so we had to open the windows which attracted a lot of mosquitoes. Also, it's located on a busy street. Therefore, there was a lot of noises due to opening the window. Otherwise all the rooms have no canceling and do not hear anything from the outside.

The staff were exceptional: patient, kind, helpful. Air conditioning was really good. Room was spacious and clean. The location was excellent for our needs.

The shower and bathroom in general were too small. I know this is inherent in such an old building, so it's acceptable. Breakfast offering was not really our taste. We prefer savoury to sweet. Accessibility by car was difficult because of a road closure nearby.
