Location great in a city where walking, cycling or scooters are the ideal means of getting round.. Breakfast was satisfactory - Hot food poor but cold choices excellent. Good restaurants in easy walking distance.

Due to confused booking and two different names for the hotel on this site, I ended up paying twice for one room (one under each hotel name) even though all the details on the bookings were identical the hotel did not think to question this. When I recieved the booking acknowledgement the mistake was obvious. Despite immediately emailing the hotel they stuck to their no refund policy - very disppointing. Added to which a third charge for a room was erroneously made by the hotel due to an admin error.This was quickly resolved on arrival but very irritating.

The staff were lovely - always friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room had an amazing high, decorated ceiling; the bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom was more modern and clean, towels were good quality. Location was excellent. Roof terrace was great.

The electricity points were low down and behind bits of furniture so were tricky to get to. One plug hole did not work. Had to boil the kettle on the floor. Breakfast - cooked hot breakfast was often cold - although you could ask for omelette or fried eggs made to order which was hot. Cold continental breakfast was nicer.

Our hotel room was big and stunning. The hotel's garden, location and breakfast were very good. The breakfast had a variety that made people happy. The hotel makes people feel good. The breakfast and accommodation experience in the palace was very impressive. The wifi was very fast.

Could have had a better bathroom. For example, a bathroom with a bathtub would be great. It was a bad bathroom for that room. Air conditioner is very noisy.

The room was so beautiful! We thought we were royalties with the frescos on the ceiling and the furniture around the room. Our room came with a fireplace. We were not allowed to use it but it was cool to have it, nevertheless. The room could fit a family with a large bed and a pull-out sofa! The hotel provided roof access where guests can see the city view. It was also by the river so every day had a romantic vibe!

We had a hard time locating the hotel at first because it was inside a compound. The entrance was in between a restaurant that the hotel owned. The room door used a key instead of the usual key card so we had to make sure that we locked the door correctly (but this is forgivable because we suppose that the management wants to keep the old-century theme).

The room was very comfortable and clean, the view from the window is not the best but for the time we spent there it was ok! The staff was very nice and they let us keep the luggage even after the check-out. The breakfast is taken in a 'Coffee shop' inside the space of the hotel and it was really amazing, buffet with a lot of choice! I recommend that you visit the terrace of the Alfieri palace at sunset, the view is stunning!

The showers need to be improved, they work properly but in our room the water only came from above and there was no shower head. Some furniture of the room should also be improved to make it more comfortable.

Very central! on the river! Although we didn’t have a room with a view, the premises of the hotel have an AMAZING view of the river! The staff very friendly and nice!! Helped us with the Parking arrangements. Quiet and clean rooms! Breakfast AMAZING with a big variety of food, fruits and pastries. Coffee very good too!

The problem of this hotel is that it’s in a TLZ zone (Traffic Limited Zone). You need to have permission to drive in this zone and/or park in a car park that will communicate with the Regulators and cancel the ticket you have been given for entering the zone as you need to be very close to the gate of the hotel to carry your bags. The bathroom needs renovating. It has a “Chamber-Closet Shower” which is a bit weird. In total the hotel is a bit old and not as shinny as in the pictures. The rooms are not very spacious. we had two bags that was impossible to keep them open.

The room was very comfortable and clean, with an amazing view of the river. The staff were truly accommodating and helped us to make dinner reservations and book transport. Overall a really amazing stay.

It is difficult to find something to complain about our experience as we really enjoyed our stay. What we would have liked was if there were some more snack options to order from the bar.

The location was good, it was just a short walk from amenities. The staff were very pleasant. The painted ceiling in our room (Room 4) was impressive. Netflix was available in the room. Good air conditioning in the room also. Breakfast was very good with a large selection of food to choose from, where all diets were catered for.

We came in a side/back entrance which google maps brought us to. It was a little difficult to find the reception desk.

The location couldn’t be any better. A short walk from all the Florence attractions. The best part was a salon and balcony overlooking the river. The lobby is very nice and the breakfast as perfect, offered in the attached restaurant. The view from our room was of an interior area that was not the nicest but for the price (when compared to other options) and everything else mentioned, it was worth it.

The feeling of being hosted in a classic Italian Palazzo in the middle of Florence is all you need. Our room was gorgeous, also an amazing painted ceiling; we had everything we needed. The location is simply perfect, the staff and the hotel's overall ambiance is very relaxing. The hotel also has a gorgeous panoramic terrace, a gorgeous private view of Florence. Highly recommend this place! thanks for an amazing experience!
