We loved several things: 1. Staff is fantastic - Hotel is family owned, so you will see the family rotating shifts and you will get to see them all depending on how many days you stay there. Every single person was friendly and very willing to help and recommend places! 2. Location - We were looking for a quiet area, a little away from the most touristic spots and we definitely got what we were looking for. Only a 10-minute walk from the train station and a 20-minute walk from the Florence Duomo (Cathedral Santa Maria Del Fiore) if you intend to visit. 3. Breakfast - We visited 3 other cities in Italy and none of the other hotels we stayed had breakfast included in the price, so this was a nice treat. 4. Small acts of kindness and genuine desire to help - During our pre-trip research, we learned about a restaurant that seemed to be really great, but hard to place a reservation. The restaurant's website didn't offer an option to reserve a table online and people on the reviews were recommending to ask someone local to call them up on your behalf, as international calls might be tricky. I kept hearing it was also hard to get a hold of the restaurant over the phone, so I decided to contact Hotel Magenta to maybe place a reservation for me. Not only did they make the reservation but also replied to my request in less than an hour! They were also kind enough to offer booking reservations for us at other places if we wanted. This is definitely a hotel that strives to provide great hospitality, and I'd highly recommend to book your stay there. They made a very good impression on us. We have a special thanks to Vittorio, the person who we talked the most and was incredibly nice. Thank you guys!

Father and 2 sons who run the hotel and seem to be there almost round the clock are so friendly and helpful it was like staying with warm caring family. Breakfast was excellent. The room was more than adequate, and the location was not right in the center of downtown, yet close enough, and very close to the train station. However again it was the family and their staff who made our stay absolutely exceptional. We should also mention Tony their dog — we are lifetime dog owners & have never seen a more relaxed, laid back dog…an absolute delight — consistent with his wonderful family.. We would give it 10 stars if we could! We highly recommend staying there….

The hotel was in a very good location, close to the river and a close walk to the main attractions and sites of Florence. It was a quiet place to rest at night after a long day of exploring the city. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and well appointed. I chose a single bed option with no view, and that was a good cheaper option for me whilst I was travelling for 3 weeks around Europe. The breakfast was excellent and good options provided each day.

I can’t think of anything. A little bit of noise carried from rooms or from people in the common space, but not excessive and I’m a light sleeper but it wasn’t a problem.

The property was very clean, the air conditioning was exceptional, the breakfast options were wonderful. Above all, the staff was very welcoming and helpful.

We thought the price was a little too high. This hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from the center of Florence and not a five star hotel. Also, our dog is a service animal. Doesn’t Booking.com recognize service animals and charge (or not charge) accordingly? We have all the documentation for our service animal, in order to provide to Booking.

family run hotel and they all seemed to care about guests The breakfast was more than I expected. A wide variety of food and as much coffee as you wished the room was small as solo rooms are, but the renovated bath was huge! have found hotels are NOT supplying tissues in the room. this is a necessity only two electric outlets in the bedroom was difficult to manage 2 phone chargers and a computer lighting is too low for anyone planning to work beware: when you exit the elevator on the 3rd floor do NOT turn left, the door opens to the top step on the stairs.......can use a barrier here

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was very convenient, close to key attractions, and easy to get around. I also found it to be great value for money. One of the highlights was the breakfast – it was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

The location was very convenient to explore on foot (8 minutes to the train station, 15 minutes to the Duomo, and most of the tourist attractions). The food presented at breakfast was rather varied and tasted great. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The freebie soft drinks and large-size water were a welcomed bonus since we were booked on one of the hottest days of August. Would come again if I wish to visit this area.

The occasional sound of running water was coming from somewhere, but it wasn't loud. There was also a slight smell in the bathroom, but if you keep the vents going for a bit, there is no problem. The bed was too soft for my liking, but my mum liked it just fine.

Breakfast is included, fairly standard croissants, deli meat, cheese, and some yogurt. The staff was the highlight, friendly, helpful, etc. The room was fairly small, but it had everything you need, including a "mini bar" with water and sodas. Florence is small, so you could get anywhere on foot in 15-20 mins. The hotel was a little outside of the city center, so you weren't in the absolute middle, but very accessible.

The property was a very short walk (approximately 6 to 8 minutes) from the main train station in Florence. It was also a short and easy walk (14 to 18 minutes) to the main sites of Florence. It’s located on a quiet street and is easy ti find. The staff were phenomenal!!! They were kind, attentive and caring. The breakfast provided was ample for an Italian style continental breakfast. Fruit, pastries, toast, eggs, bacon, cereal. The room was clean and well stocked. We were invited to drink anything from the mini fridge at no charge. It was not stocked again but that was absolutely okay as most places charge you for taking contents from them anyway. Overall a fantastic place to stay!!
