Very very very nice property located a bit to a side of the central part but still very course to main attractions. We could walk from there and back with no stress. Interiors and rooms are well furnished, spacey, clean and fresh, huge bed it’s awesome. Breakfast is very good, really! I could have it enough until lunch early. Staff is nice and ready to help, no complains. Cleaning was every day (!) incl water and towel service. My special recommendation: visit the bar. Gorgeous signature cocktails! And spend some time by the fountain in the yard, very cozy)

Nothing to mention here. If to dream maybe a pool would add value to this place. Billiard and chess/ board game are could be fun too

We had the most wonderful time at this hotel! I searched for two months and read every review of hotels in Florence, but we are happy we chose Horto Convento. Thank you to Jeffrey, Giovanni, Adam and please give thanks to everyone who worked the front desk from March 20 to March 25 because I do not remember all of their names. They were all so friendly, attentive, and helpful in every way, with restaurant recommendations and getting around town. The hotel itself is beautiful and so peaceful and calming. The rooms are spotless, roomy and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was more than we could ask for the food was fresh and delicious. We truly felt pampered and on our next visit we will not stay anywhere else!

We had 3 wonderful days at Horto Convento. The building is so beautiful, in the most wonderful secluded little courtyard in the best neighborhood in Florence. Every corner of the hotel smells incredible, it is clean and beautifully decorated, and every detail is curated. We were so comfortable, the hotel and pillows were incredible and even the products in the bathroom were so so good. But the best thing was the staff. Everyone was so kind, warm and friendly and made us feel so welcome and looked after. Special mention to the bartender, the most lovely guy ever that took time to chat with us and was so so kind and friendly!!

Oh my goodness, staying in a monastery from 1100 A.D. was simply magical! We were steps from everything we wanted to see in Florence. The morning breakfast was fabulous, and the nighttime bar was such a great place to unwind and chat with other visitors. Our concierge Eugenio gave us wonderful tips somewhere to go, Adam and L’ara were our bar keep friends who kept us entertained and educated, and the entire staff was perfecto!

The rooms were small from American standards, but they were totally adequate, and the views were amazing!

The location of the Hotel is great, easily reachable by car if you follow the instructions, the place is close to the city center - 15 min. walk and yet is located in quite place. All the staff was very professional and friendly, but i'd love to say my personal thank you to both barmen working at that time in the bar during our stay, they made great coctails and engaged in a very pleasant discussion. I liked the breakfasts and good variability.

the mosquitos in this time of year, i'd suggest using rolling mosquito nets on the windows

Location is out of the way but short walk to everything. Good restaurants in the neighborhood (and an excellent Steak house). Recommend a walk along the old city wall (starting on the hotel property) to the back entrance to the Boboli Garden, many old statues and fountains, eventually to the back entrance to the Petti Palace. (beware a long steep uphill stretch). Excellent breakfast.

Really nice hotel, boutique style and approach. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is Just 10minuts of walk to main attractions. I came with car so i had a parking directly by the hotel. Rooms are nice and cosy; clean; and good wifi. Breakfast was tasty with a lot of options. Classic Italian sweet corner with a lot of brioche and croissants; pancakes, cornflakes; and scrambled eggs; salami: cheese and other similar items on the other corner, and a lot of fresh veggies.

The location was great! Private parking helped alot if you go out of the city every day, cozy rooms and good breakfest.

Everything is good but I would recommand upgrading the TVs to smart TVs. After busy days driving and seeing the area and after dinner, we would love to just chill to something that is not the italian channels.

The hotel is gorgeous and wonderful architecture with beautiful grounds. The rooms are airy with the original high ceilings and beautiful windows. the bathrooms are really nice and modern with high end fixtures. Beds are comfy and big. Front desk staff were attentive and lovely and breakfast is amazing! The area is quaint and authentic and very quiet but close enough to walk everywhere.

The hotel is located on the edge of the old town, in a peaceful location, which is very convenient for those traveling by car as they do not have to enter the pedestrian zone (ZTL). There is also courtyard parking available. It is possible to reach all the landmarks of the old town on foot from the hotel. The hotel is arranged in a monastery building and is well-furnished and attractive. All staff, from receptionists to waiters, housekeepers, and maintenance personnel, are exceptionally friendly. The breakfast offers a wide variety of food.
