This was pretty simple but super, exceptionally clean, staff were super friendly, the food/restaurant was great with local Italian dishes. We had a nice view on the lake from our room (it's a 15 minutes drive to the lake), I did some trail running in the environment, there are hiking paths but not very well indicated. We were happy that there weren't televisions in the room as the walls between the rooms are not very sound proof, so we could enjoy a tranquil evening and night. Very good value, we left 2 tips which we don't often do. We'll be back some time.

For the value they offer it wouldn't be right to complain about anything

Lovely family feeling as you arrive. Nice simple and clean room with everything you might need plus a balcony overlooking the valley. We were a little late for dinner but they cooked us something anyway. Such good food! The breakfast was amazing as well, so much variety, I hope you are hungry 😉. Some of the best food we had while in Italy. Would defiantly stay again.

No kettle in the room. It was not an issue as you can go downstairs for drinks from the bar but we find it nice to have an evening tea in the room.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was the place in Italy where we encountered the kindest people. I felt very comfortable. Everything was clean and well-organized. The attached restaurant served an exceptional dinner at night, with pizzas prepared and baked in a wood-fired oven in view of everyone. The breakfast was fair. But the view from the rooms—absolutely priceless. Despite being at the top of the mountain with no cell signal, the WiFi worked well, and I was even able to work remotely and have online meetings.

It's located in a somewhat secluded village at the top of the mountains. While this isn't necessarily a problem—in fact, it could be seen as an advantage—the road leading there is narrow and quite winding. Be careful when driving up.

The owners are amazing - very friendly, warm & helpful - the weather during our visit was a bit chilly, we were supplied with a heater without having to ask for it; Ernesta made sure we have everything we need to feel like home :) From the balcony of our room we could see both the lake and the mountains, and you can enjoy the same views while eating at their restaurant, too. Food for dinners was fresh & delicious (gnocci, ravioli, lasagna, steak), breakfasts were also very good. There was space to leave the car in front of the place - very convenient. Very budget friendly pricing, too! Thank you for everything, hope to come back in the future! :)

Excellent service, very nice people working here. The room was basic, but very clean. Good value for the money. Excellent view from the parking lot near the hotel. Great atmosphere in the restaurant, delicious local food. Would come here again.

The soundproofing - you could hear well the sounds from the hallway and the other rooms. Only if you drive there: the road up to Garzeno is very nice during the day, but can be challenging during evening for unexperienced drivers - it's narrow, with a lot of tight serpentines.

Altough it was a little bit far from the main atractions near lake Como, it was a worth to hit the road and get to Albergo De Jean. Little, comfortable pension with excellent kitchen (we tried different pizzas and every of them was absolutely delicious). From the room- the view was breathtaking and we could spend hours to look at it. Definately we will choose it again while staying at Como lake. Grazie Mille!

In first days the WiFi was not working, then it was repaired, but still didn't work properly. Small fridge and the kettle will be a nice adding to the rooms.

The view is amazing and breakfast was absolutely sublime for 7€! I am vegan and the kind lady went over and above to bring me lots of fruit and plant-based options for breakfast. We liked the 8-10 minute drive up and down from the main town at the lake as it was so beautiful, but be careful of all the switchbacks.

The fan was nice and strong and window kept the breeze cool but just no AC, other than that everything was truly great!

The hotel has breath-taking views of the area. The staff are exceedingly nice and the breakfast was absolutely superb. The room was basic but good enough. At the end of April the night was cold and the heater barely worked. Though this is the only complaint that I have. All in all, it was a vey nice stay and the area is great for hiking.

The hotel is located up in the mountains in a small village overlooking Lake Como, it is basic but has a traditional charm, we booked 2 rooms which the hotel were able to give us next to each other. The view from the Balcony in the rook was amazing with views of Lake Como and the mountains behind. There was a spectacular thunderstorm in the valley next to the hotel which was quite romantic. The hotel is rated as 1 Star but don't let this put you off, if you want to spend £££'s then stay in one of the luxury hotels by the lake which have no character, this was value for money and gave better views than any of the bigger expensive hotels and very quite and clean, perfect for anyone wanting to explore a bit off the tourist route.

For what we paid I could not fault this property

Location was superb. View was the best of our whole trip. For the price it’s hard to beat!! Super nice small village vibe and great breakfast for super cheap. Would stay there again, shame we stayed just one night. Staff was super nice and accommodating.

Everything was good, room reasonably sized, but outdated but that’s not the point. For this price you are getting a bargain.
