My wife and I loved the rooms, the staff, the location and the breakfasts. When I say rooms I mean rooms, not a room. The B & B is located in a mansion owned by an aristocrat in the late 9th century. My wife gasped when our host, Nico, opened the door and she saw a beautiful and aithful reproduction of a 19th century sitting room. It was a 20x30 ft room with balcony and a 25 ft high arched ceiling and chandelier. Our bedroom, of similar size, was adjacent and similarly decorated. Parking was in an old carriage house located below the rooms. Breakfasts were served in our rooms and we felt like the Duke and Duchess of Lecce. I can not say enough about our hosts, Nico and Valencia. My wife injured herself and required medical attention. Nico drove her to the emergency room at 8 PM and stayed with her to insure she received proper treatment. He, then, took her to an all-night pharmacy to fill a prescription written by the doctor. The location of the place could not be better. It is within the old city walls and easy walking distance to restaurants and historical buildings. I am not a guy to write rave reviews but I make an exception in this case. If you plan on visiting Lecce, do yourself a favor an stay at this B & B.
We didn't like the fact that we had to leave this place.

LOVED EVERYTHING - great value with the opportunity to share the family's wonderful history and objet d'art. The property comprised of a huge bedroom and separate sitting room with balconies overooking the street's activity. Also there is a separate entry and dining room/library. It is centrally located in the old city amongst all the wonders of beautiful Lecce. Niko is a host who goes beyond beyond - all suggested restaurants were winners and he is there to help at all times. Breakfast comprised of local specialty tart, eggs, fruit, toast and other options - delicious coffee in delightful surroundings. In 8 weeks of travelling Europe this was the one that stole my heart.

These suites and their amazing history, which has been purposefully kept & treasured, are absolutely exquisite! Nikos is one of the most friendly, helpful, generous and informative hosts you could ever meet or ask for. Our whole experience here was absolute perfection and we couldn’t recommend this place or Lecce higher.

Our Suite in the Palazzo Miglietta, a gorgeous early-nineteenth-century palace, was in fact absolutely palatial--with windows and balconies overlooking Lecce's main walking streets, and with both a sitting room and enormous bedroom--all decorated with antiques and beautiful paintings. We were in the lap of luxury--whether in our huge and comfy brass bed, in our beautifully-appointed sitting room (offering tea and coffee), or in our roomy and convenient MODERN bathroom--in the very heart of one of the most gorgeous cities in Italy. We were able to walk everywhere in a matter of minutes. Nicos, our host, could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. His restaurant suggestions led us both to traditional osterias (where most of the other diners were locals) and to elegant ristorantes. And every morning he served us a wonderful breakfast featuring delicious local pastries, warm from the local bakery. We felt entirely at home in this drop-dead gorgeous place, which you enter through a tiny door within an enormous outer door made for horses and carriages. Every time we went out or came in, we felt like members of the nobility. It was hard to leave. Highly recommended. A fantastic place and a great value.
Nothing! If you didn't love Historical Suites, you wouldn't love wonderful Baroque Lecce either! We loved both!

Absolutely everything, it was the best accommodation I had ever stayed in and I have been all over the world. The host Nikos was sublime, he was so attentive, but not intrusive, and went above and beyond at every opportunity. His son Georgios, who is 4, also loves you meet the guests. Nothing was too much trouble for Nikos. He is one of the nicest people you could hope to meet and he made our stay in Lecce first class. He is so knowledgeable about the local area and gives you all the detailed information regarding transportation, day trips, restaurants, bars etc. It is like having your own personal concierge. The breakfast was lovely and so fresh each morning and Nikos was very keen to make sure you ate exactly what you wanted. We mentioned that we liked croissants and they were there warm on the table the next morning. Nikos also made us breakfast at 5:45 on our last morning. The building is stunning and the photos do not do it justice. The presidential suite is beautiful with a large lounge area with a balcony overlooking the historic street and from the lounge leads to the bedroom, also with a balcony overlooking the street. The whole suite is decorated with historic furnishings and family heirlooms. There is also a large modern bathroom with leads from the bedroom. Lecce is a beautiful place to explore with its historic buildings and excellent choice of restaurants and bars. We also did day trips to Gallipoli by train, San Cataldo beach by bus and Otranto by bus. Otranto is a stunning place with crystal clear waters, historic alleyways, lovely independent shops and tempting local bars and restaurants. A must for a day trip. VVM Historical Suites is a must for anyone staying in Lecce, there are no words sufficient to describe how perfect it is.
Absolutely nothing at all.

Nikos, the owner, was superb. His recommendations for restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, directions, etc., were excellent. My wife said, "He made our trip." Breakfast was served elegantly by Nikos in the library at any time we requested. Our two rooms were beautifully appointed with heirloom antiques. The vaulted ceilings and frescoes amazed us. The private bathroom was modern with great water pressure, and the two rooms' air-conditioning worked well. We were treated exceptionally and hope to return in a few years. Finally, the location couldn't have been better..-- I wish we could rate this higher than 10!
The towels could have been softer.

Beautiful rooms decorated in the style of the historic old building. Wonderful original tiled floors, painted ceilings, and furniture but with a nice modern bathroom. Rooms were huge by comparison to other places we have stayed with large separate sitting room and separate bedroom. Nikos was an amazing host, explaining the history of the building and giving us tips on what to see, and restaurants. When we mentioned we were keen to find a beach he came up with suggestions and sent us bus timetables. The breakfast each morning was wonderful with fresh fruit, pastries, juice, tea, coffee, bread, jams and eggs! Value for money this beats anything on our 6 week trip.

Historical suits are located in the 18th century palace and has been decorated with wonderful antiques. We felt very special while staying there. Nikos, the host, welcomed us with kindness and warmth. He equipped us with a detailed itinerary for our two-day stay that we thoroughly enjoyed. We loved having breakfast in a library lounge listening to the bell music from the nearby Duomo piazza. The suites are easily reached by foot from the train station and close to all major attractions in Lecce Definitely recommended
Extraordinary accommodation in the heart of Lecce

I recently stayed at Historical Suites VVM and had a really fantastic experience. The owner, Nikos, provided top-notch and exceptional, almost familial service, making the stay extremely memorable. The baroque room, “President Suite,” was really comfortable, with a minimum 5-meter ceiling and comfortable furnitures. The breakfast in the library was typical Italian and delicious, featuring cornetto, sfogliatine (a type of puff pastry known for their delicate, crispy texture and sweet taste), fruits, and much more. I was lucky to have a piano in my suite, which I used to compose parts of my new song “Pastry Dreams“. I promised to share with the hotel as soon it is completed which I expect to be very soon. Overall, I highly recommend Historical Suites VVM for its outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and excellent facilities. Thank you for an unforgettable stay and the inspirations.

No 'keybox on the wall' entrance here. The host welcomed us in person. Nikos is a warm and friendly person. He gave us good advice on visiting the town and restaurants. The spacious room was superb ! It felt like staying in a castle room because of the furniture and the decoration. The bathroom was clean and functional. The wifi was flawless. Breakfast was excellent, and we got to know people from around the world at the table. The B&B is very well located: within walking distance of anything in the town, and less than 15min walk from the station.
