This is our second visit over the Christmas holidays (4 nights)and what a delight...the staff is lovely and so accomodating, the balcony is a real treat, the walking around the lake is mesmerizing, only 15 minutes to Lucca or Viareggio. BUT the food! Oh my, dinners were amazing and lots of seafood choices (the Branzino! the huge fresh seafood salad and the gnocchi with seafood and a terrific sauce...all to die for) Great place for walking the dog, tons of parking and beautiful holiday decorations. What a delight.

My only suggestion...not a complaint...was the mattress was a bit too firm...other than that one small thing it is a truly terrific hotel.

We visited the hotel for the second time after enjoying it incredibly the past year. The hotel has a lovely pool and access to the water body just a short walk away. The parking place is big. The food is incredible and for a good price.

The rooms were not clean enough, the floor was sticky. The balcony door does not close properly and as we stayed during windy nights, there was a huge draft. Some of the facilities are obsolete, such as the toilet flushing system.

The hotel and restaurant is gorgeous, especially the outside restaurant during good weather conditions. You can spend pleasurable evenings, the food is also delicious. The staff was kind and helpful.

When having a single apartment by large family bear in mind that there are bunk beds for the kids, which may be a bit inconvenient for those who are not used to sleep at the higher floor of such bed.

The hotel has a magnificent garden, with a very nice pool and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. It also has its own access to the lake and there are some nice places to sit at edge of the water. The kitchen is sublime; we loved eating here, although it can be a bit pricey due to the Italian way of eating (4 courses is standard). The staff is very friendly and they speak English pretty well. Breakfast is also decent and a perfect fit for this price class. If you're looking for a nice and quiet, not too massive, hotel that is also affordable in the area of Lucca / Pisa, you could do a lot worse than Le Rotonde for sure. The building of the hotel is marvelous; an older building with character. No elevator though (but only two stories high). When we left, we received a bottle of wine from that area. Wow, what a great finishing touch!

WiFi was not that good but better than last year and also functioned reasonably on our rooms. Could be better though. The hammocks in the garden were all vandalised, which was a shame because we loved hanging 'round in those for a bit. The bunkbed was a bit shaky and could use an upgrade. Some furniture in the room was a bit ... dated (desk, wardrobe).

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Le Rotonde - the place is way out in the countryside, but has some stunning views amid the Italian village. You can also walk through the gardens and lie in the hammocks. Breakfast was also lovely, and the dinner menu was reasonably priced (and delicious).

Getting down the road in a tiny Fiat Panda was a little tough!

Very beautiful location, friendly staff, clean room and comfortable parking just in front of the entrance, very beautiful territory, nature reserve with birdwatching nearby and tasty breakfast. Warm inside during winter!

Spotlessly clean, quiet, breakfast lovely, lunch and dinner in the restaurant fab, staff friendly and helpful. Overall super value and an amazing spot for a quiet break. Grounds and gardens lovely to relax in.

No local shop for snacks and water, as we hadn't rented a car we were limited. Nice local restaurant and small taverna up the road great for a change of scenery, but if going again I would definitely hire a car.

Warm welcome, friendly & efficient service, cleanness, availability of a covered (outdoor) car park, excellent dinner with an obvious & very enjoyable local flavor, very good breakfast (would be even better with fresh fruits but this is only a detail), large room with terrace and lake view, etc,...

The personnel was very friendly. The owner even drove us to the nearest bus stop (3 kilometers away) when leaving the hotel. Some of the dinners were really tasty.

The public transportation was 3 kilometers away, not doable with heavy package. It was difficult to get taxi either. There were no bikes at the hotel, which we could have rented but we heard from the owner, that next year there will be some.
