Great location, rooms well decorated. Balcony on the elements side gave great views - request the Mare apartment for the best views. Main Manzoni apartments were better specced, sky and a better shower room however limited sea views. Roof top terrace with jacuzzi is good however sunbathing area is in need of some decoration/renovation. Breakfast was OK with limited selection and items like omelette at an additional cost.

Shower in Mare appears to be new and perpendicular to the old one. Shower screen is of limited use, bathroom floods and you are left standing on the old rail for the shower screen which is uncomfortable. Manager quickly moved us to the main buolding. No coffee machines. Sunbathing area a bit depressing and light fixture not attached to wall.

We needed a room to stay before leaving for the islands and this was not even 1 minute walk away from where the hydrofoils leave. Super location for what we needed!

The photos that show you the individual rooms when you click ‘View Room Details’ are a bit misleading (especially the photo with the sea view). The standard room they gave us was divided on 2 levels (split-level) with the bed on the upper level which wasn’t great, and this room doesn’t feature anywhere in the photos. However they were super nice and changed it to a better room immediately. Thank you for being so efficient!

The Ospitalita Siciliana is a perfect stopover on the way to the Aeolian islands. Clean. Comfortable. Next to the port and close to local shops, restaurants and bars. Breakfast on the roof terrace is a winner.

The main building has stairs but no lift making it a poor choice for people with mobility issues.

We booked this property to be close to the bus stop for the Guintabus to Catania airport and for the port to the Aoelian islands. It was perfect for this but was also a beautiful guest house. Our room and bed were huge and we also had a jacuzzi bath with the bedroom. All the staff were very friendly and polite too.

- location (close to Port and city centre) - size of room (enough place for an extra bed for our 5 year old) - hospitality (very kind personal and host) - cleanliness of room - besides a perfect location to visit the Ionian Islands, the city has a nice and historical value.

- lot of 'aggressive mosquitoes (not in room as they are equipped with plug in anti mosquitoe).

We chose the location because of convenience to the ferry from the Aeolian islands. Only a couple of mins walk. We were put up in a hotel quality bedroom in an adjoining building - they obviously have a close working relationship. We had breakfast in the hotel - which was excellent - out on the patio. The reception was very friendly and helpful and the room very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the port

The room we booked was on the modern building and they looked lass luxury of what advertised on their pictures. Breakfast was simple and not as advertised in the photos

We were advised that breakfast is until 10-10.30 and when we arrived at 9.30 everything was already put away. Also, communication could be improved

Very central, very clean and large rooms, good bathroom, quiet (could here some people from the other sidfe of the door, but not a lot) we had the room with double hot tube, that was nice, The bed was just huge !

Clean rooms, breakfast on the rooftop with a view, easy walk to the port, restaurants, a nice grocery store, a pharmacy and even a self service laundromat. I am so sorry I can't remember the name of the angel who was managing the hotel, running the front desk and seemingly doing everything at this hotel. My mother wasn't feeling well, you would have thought we were staying at a spa, that's how well she took care of her.

They had room for just one of our two cars at the free spot in front of the hotel. It's easy and not expensive to park on the street. I saw the inspector twice - so if parking on the street, go to the meter and pay immediately, even before checking in if you can't leave someone with the car.
