Arriving back from the Aeolian islands late afternoon we decided to stay at Upper Boutique Hotel. This meant we could wheel our luggage across the road from the ferry terminal to arrive at our hotel without any need for public transport or taxis. Contactless checkin worked seamlessly, and it was so easy having a pin code rather than a room key throughout our stay. The room was a good size and great to have our own balcony overlooking the activity of the ferry terminal and surrounding water. Breakfast was good, with a welcome option to make your own fresh juice in the juicer from a range of fruit and vegetables provided. There is lots to explore in Milazzo and we enjoyed the walk up to the Castello, exploring the ancient buildings and taking in the breathtaking views from up there. Earlier reviews mentioned the pizza restaurant next door and we agree the food was great. There are plenty of other restaurant options in surrounding streets too. Gloria arranged a transfer to take us to Catania Airport at the end of our stay which arrived right on time.

Location. Right next to ferry. Breakfast was excellent and staff helpful and friendly. View from breakfast on 7th floor was breathtaking. Lovely to eat overlooking the harbour. The staff let us leave our luggage their so we could explore a little of Milazzo before catching the ferry.

I did explain that I didn't have access to my phone on the day of arrival, however they still sent the wattsapp message that morning telling me the code to get in. All worked out as my husband did manage to ring and get codes that night, but did cause us a bit of worry as it was after 8pm.

The building is close to everything, specially the port where you take the ferry’s to the islands. It is comfy and clean, well maintained and feels as a luxury place without being pretentious. Comfy bed which is a gem these days. And from the upstairs terrace the view is so nice. Our host was lovely and super helpful 😊

Nothing I did not like, the airco has a light that indicate the temperature and if you keep it all night it can be a bit annoying although I slept like a baby so all great!

The view from our Sea View room was breathtaking. The location was perfect for us. The boat ride we booked was right across the street. There are many restaurants in the area. There is public parking on the street and once we figured out how and where to buy parking tickets it was great. We also used the hotel to take day trips not too far away and returned in the evening. The breakfast was very nice with a variety of choices.

Beautifull accomodation with a rooftop in the heart of Milazzo in front of the port! Host sent instructions how to find and self chech in in the accomodation via whatsapp. Room was new fashioned and comfortable. Rooftop was just amazing. Milazzo is an amazing town too!

Water from the mini bar costed 2€ per 0,5l bottle :) usually water is a complimentary.

I came to Milazzo on a whim needing a treat and pick me up. Upper-boutique Hotel was just that. The property is excellently managed. The furnishings are stylish, handsome and comfortable. Great Linens. Breakfast had more choices than I have seen in Sicily. But best our host Gloria. She is on top of everything. I made a mistake about my train arrival and she caught it and called back. Great value and really a top notch treat.

Leaving

We stayed here one night, prior to a 3-night stay on the Aeolian Islands. It was a PERFECT choice. Super clean and modern room. Modern amenities and LED lighting. Towels, soaps, etc are all branded with their logo. It is much classier than the price might suggest. We were hoping for a place where we could park our rented car while we were gone to the islands. Upper-Boutique offered reasonably priced, on-site, secure, indoor parking! The garage door was coded for easy exiting when we returned. The Milazzo docks and ferry area is very crowded and hectic. Staying here was a great choice... a flat 200 yard walk to the ferry terminal, plenty of restaurants nearby. It just made everything so easy, and we knew our car and left-behind belongings would be 100% safe in the garage. The quiet rooms are in the upper floors of a 6 to 8 story building, with a nice view of the ferry terminal, harbor area and street activities below. I highly recommend.

Large modern rooms with nice balconies, with large bathrooms. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, you could really tell that the owner didnt save money in creating this lovely looking hotel. Parking on sight for an extra charge but absolutely worth it, and a beautiful rooftop terrace

Beautiful view from room to the sea, the port, the castle. Great place to go for walks or a run. Breakfest was great on the terrace, and we got gluten free croissant too! We enjoyed the St. Francis celebration from our balcony, a great experience.

The doorlatch for our room was a bit loose, so we had to slam the door shut when closing it from the outside. ( a bit noisy that way)

Even though extra cost the parking garage was great. The room was comfortable.

Thank goodness we had the what’s app. We were a little confused with checking in procedure. We are not tech savvy and are use to meeting someone in person. Also disappointed our balcony looked right into building next door with a small corner city view
