The location is perfect for staying in Monopoli and close enough to free parking to make it a great location for exploring Puglia further. Riccardo was very helpful throughout our stay and went above and beyond. He messaged us before we arrived with parking instructions and gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat in Monopoli. He even helped set up a surprise in the room for my girlfriend's Mum with balloons and Prosecco for her birthday!

It would have been nice to have some tea and coffee facilities in the room.

From the very beginning communicating with Riccardo was excellent. From where to park the car, to restaurant suggestions, to sightseeing, Riccardo provided 5 star service. He told us where to park our car and met us there and helped with all of our questions. We stayed in Room 7 which is the top floor with a spectacular view overlooking the water. The walk up the stairs is not for the faint of heart. The breakfast each morning was fantastic. The location along the water was perfect for the evening passeggiate and lots of restaurant choices. We highly recommend B&B A Caste.

Nothing - everything was exceptional!

The breakfast was amazing and plentiful- enough to satisfy everybody. Cold meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, fruit, cereal tea or coffee. The location was close to/in the old town amongst all the restaurants, cafes and bars. It was a bit of a walk to the station, but Riccardo picked us up, so that wasn’t a problem. This is a B&B run by Riccardo and his family who were delightful & helped us out on a couple of personal issues. A fabulous experience all round.

The steep stairs may be a problem for those on higher levels, but we were on the ground floor, so no issue for us.

We loved our unit with the small balcony with a glimpse of the beautiful water. We were able to come and go as we pleased. Riccardo was very helpful particularly when l needed assistance with a charger for my iPhone. The breakfast was delicious and well presented and the staff, including Riccardo’s gorgeous mother, were delighted. This is a great spot, very good location for exploring the old town and also the beaches nearby. Thank you for your warm hospitality. Ciao

As always the stairs are a challenge but we understand that such old buildings cannot offer anything but stairs! Pack lightly!!!😬

Wonderful room, modern and perfect location. A wonderful view of the water and close to all the restaurants in the gorgeous old town etc. We drove and Riccardo gave us details to a car parking lot but we found free spots on the surrounding streets about 10-15 min walk away. (Early June 2025) Great Lido 15 minute walk south plus 2 free great beaches before that. Highly recommend Monopli as a perfect destination to stay at. Would highly recommend staying at B&B A C-Caste here if you get the chance! Enjoy

C-caste First, the owners are wonderful and welcoming! I prefer to stay in lovely accommodations where owners are very much present! It is very easy to find too (very important when rolling luggage) as it is just inside the entry and exit to the old city of Monopoli by the little beach. Basically you enter into the city, turn left and the next right around the corner is the B&B. Only 7 rooms with a touch of modern and whimsy and pretty new- everything is freshly painted and sparkling. The owner, Ricardo, speaks perfect English and is native to Monopoli as is his is cute mother who is also an owner, both active in running this perfect spot. If you want a sea view room, book # 6 or #7. Room 7 is on the top floor and has the best sea view. There is also a lovely terrace by room 7 overlooking the rooftops that is available to all guests. Room 6 is directly below #7, still sea view but lower. These rooms are a nice size with nice size bathrooms and walk in showers. There are stairs, no elevator. The owners will help you with your luggage as stairs are narrow. Breakfast was excellent. Ricardo and his mother offered a savory or a sweet tray. We had one of each and shared. Cappuccino, American coffee, OJ, croissants. It was easy walking to other areas of Monopoli. We thought this was a perfect location for us. The parking area that was recommended is on Via Proccacio for Eur 25 per night. We parked there one night and realized we could easily find free parking on the same street. We were there in mid September, so it was not as crowded and more street parking was available. Our weather was beautiful, a little cool, with an occasional shower but we were still wearing shorts and t-shirts and going swimming in the small bay. Everything was great and we even got a good workout going up to room 7. We are in our mid 70’s) so not as young as we once were! Thank you Ricardo and mom!

It was all good!

Riccardo is an amazing host. We travelled by train and he picked us up from the station and took us back when we left. His knowledge of Monopoli and Puglia is fantastic and he is available every day if you have any questions or are wanting recommendations. Excellent breakfast where you could have savoury or sweet or a mix of both including delicious warm pastries, mixed deli products and fresh fruit. Superb coffee. A 50m walk to the beach and you could also walk 10 mins to access some of the beach clubs further along. Fantastic facilities and exceptionally clean and maintained property.

Nothing that we didn’t like.

Riccardo provided so many options for breakfast, each more tasty than the last. He even makes the chocolate cake himself! Location is perfect for exploring the old town, day trips and also beach days! No request was too much trouble, with Riccardo going above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. We will be back!

We loved everything - the room, the location, the warm welcome. There was much attention to detail - everything we needed was already provided. The room was perfect - plenty of space and storage, very comfortable, lovely decor. Excellent bathroom facilities. Lovely balcony with a view of the town and the sea. Breakfast was also excellent! The location was ideal - very handy for restaurants, shops, beaches etc as well as the railway station a short walk away.

We are so blessed to have found this wonderful B&B to stay for our fist stop in Puglia . Ricardo and his team are an absolute treasure to work with . Professional but yet so kind and so simpatico that it feels like you are staying with family . Ricardo arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport in Bari, so much appreciated after a fifteen hour flight from Canada. He offered to drive us to the train station as well upon checking out and stayed in communication with us in a very timely manner and expertise. The breakfast and cappuccino in the morning was hearty and delicious. The location is brilliant a few steps from the beach yet so near the port and the Centro storico. Everything about our stay was magical and would not hesitate to recommend Ricardo and his B&B to our family and friends. Do not hesitate to to stay here you will not regret it ❤️

There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay , other than not having more time here to stay.
