My partner and I plus two friends spent six days in Puglia - two of which were spent here in Monopoli. Without doubt this was the absolute highlight of an already fabulous trip - with EVERYTHING lovingly thought of and delivered, and with the loveliest of staff. We were picked up from the train station by the smiling and friendly Rocco in their fabulous 2CV and whisked through the narrow streets of the historical centre of Monopoli to simply beautiful accommodation. The building itself houses a number of different rooms and apartments - we had two studio apartments that were immaculate, beautifully designed and everything you could imagine included: a well equipped little kitchen, a lovely bathroom with robe and slippers, a tiny balcony and a super comfortable bed. Patricia the manager was an absolute delight and showed us to our rooms, and her colleague Florinda was also so charming and helpful. The breakfast, overseen by the lovely and ever attentive Daniela, was by far the best of our whole trip (plus that of our previous visit to Puglia) with a vast selection of fresh produce, both hot and cold, and the choice to sit down the little alleyway outside the property or inside a charming little room which becomes a restaurant in the evening. All the other staff too were smiling and cheerful and welcoming. The little hotel is right in the heart of this charming little old town, overlooking a picture-perfect square, and just one street from the seafront. We will definitely be coming back for a longer visit - and will use this as a perfect base to explore the area further. We all send huge thanks to everyone at Santa Maria 24 for such a magical stay. We can't wait to see you again next time!

The location within the limited traffic zone was more of a plus than a minus for us, as it allowed our toddler to roam more freely without so many cars and bikes. Yes, it was a little walk (15 mins or so) to the garage to retrieve our car when needed, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. The breakfast spread is excellent and catered well for our dietary needs, and the staff are very friendly. The view from our window was spectacular and the room was cleaned well each day. We enjoyed our time and would stay again.

We had some issues with the air conditioner system. Having arrived at change of season, the hotel needed to change the system from heating to cooling through a technician, which was only carried out after a couple of days. Of course, we could have opened a window, however then I was being attacked by mosquitoes. The hotel was apologetic and offered us a discount on our parking and a free drink and snacks at their bar to compensate us, which was kind. The only other thing to be aware of is the many flights of stairs up to the rooms - just in case there are any joint issues. The staff help with bags, so no issues there :)

Absolutely incredible property, a big highlight of our 3.5 week trip. Gorgeous one bedroom apartment, looking out over the water. Staff are absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, from meeting us at the carpark and driving us in to the hotel in a gorgeous old 1943 car, started our whole experience with so much fun. Perfect position, in the middle of everything, bars, cafes, groceries, bottle shop, everything is on your door stop. Even though it is in the middle of everything, you can not hear a thing, any noise is certainly not heard. Restaurant is amazing, very very good quality, we had dinner there our first night. Breakfast every day was incredible, again nothing is too much trouble for the gorgeous staff. We absolutely loved it, and if ever we venture back, we would never stay anywhere else.

BEST STAY IN MONOPOLI! The staff were the highlight for us. Everyone was so lovely and caring. You can tell that they are all very proud of where they work and live. All our needs were met and more. They even sang me happy birthday! Facilities are great. Stairs are a good workout! The staff will help you with your bags so don’t worry about this. There is also parking available about 7min walk away if you want the security. But again, the staff were just amazing and so nice!

The only thing I could fault of if I had to say something was that the windows didn’t fully block out all the noise outside, so there was some occasional noises. But nothing too loud to keep you up at night!

Fabulous location and wonderful staff with large bright apartment rooms that had everything you could need on a holiday. The selection of glasses was remarkable and the extra touches - slippers, bathrobes, moisturiser etc - were greatly appreciated. It was quiet but also had a lovely, colourful, holiday vibe. The breakfasts in the sun in a little alley beside Santa Maria 24 were exceptionally good with a huge number of choices including delicious fresh juices and scrambled eggs and bacon. Coffee was excellent and the staff worked hard to make sure you were happy and enjoyed your breakfast and stay. Of our eight-day stay in Puglia - this little slice of heaven in Monopoli near the sea in the old town was a standout. Highly recommend. Many thanks Santa Maria 24, Sarah & Tim - from Australia.

We booked the parking through the hotel. Upon arriving at the parking, a rep from the hotel came and helped us park and then loaded us all into their cute little car and took us to the hotel. Same for our departure. Parking was about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast provided at the hotel was great. We did not get to try the restaurant as it was closed the night we tried to go.

The front desk help was a bit confusing with their directions for the AC and the parking/keys. The directions they gave for the air con did not work, but the next day other staff was able to reset the AC to work for us. Maybe check that the AC works when you check in.

We liked everything about this hotel. Use of the parking deck was convenient and the transport to the hotel in an old Citroen was a kick zipping through the tight alley ways. Reception associates were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable, and located a block from the waterfront, restaurants, and things to check out. Couldn't have been better. The breakfast was the best of our trip, and the restaurant cave setting with delicate lights was such an enjoyable way to start our days.

The nearby beach turned out to be the best beach, and I really didn't need to walk all that far to explore different beaches, turns out the best swim was the one next to the hotel. The parking nearby Carrefour was fine and relatively easy to find parking spots, granted that I went in October. The people and service was amazing, I got good driving route tips from the hotel staff. Would definitely want come stay here again.

Nothing. The place is awesome. The bed was a little bit softer than I am used to, but that's ok.

All our expectations were exceeded with Santa Maria 24! What’s not to like?!! The staff were amazing, efficient, super helpful and welcoming providing great communication regarding our arrival, parking and the nice surprise was they provided a free shuttle in their funky car from the parking area right to the hotel front in the old town. We all had fun zipping through the old town streets. The staff also helped to change our room bookings to the one building so our family were together and we got a sea view at no extra cost. Really great of them. The rooms all have good kitchenettes with everything you need including some condiments. Rooms are spacious, clean, bright and nicely decorated. They have a great breakfast buffet and a fantastic restaurant for the evening. We had some lovely wines and very delicious and well presented food, good music and excellent service, and then could wander back up to our room. Wish we had eaten here more! Location was excellent right in the midst of the old town so easy to walk everywhere. It’s one of the very few properties I actually can’t find anything to improve on!!! I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here next time I visit Monopoli. Huge thanks to Florinda, Claudio, & the fabulous team there.

The only thing I can actually think of is to advise potential clients that there are a number of stairs to get to the rooms we stayed in 2-3 floors up. So if you have challenges with mobility and lots of stairs please request rooms lower down when booking. I’m sure the lovely team will help you out.

The location is absolutely beautiful. Transportation from the parking lot to the hotel (and back) is provided in a retro car, which is an experience in itself. Just a note—this service is available until 6:30 PM. The staff was more than kind and approachable—truly made the stay even more enjoyable with their warmth and helpfulness. Breakfast was exceptional, made with high-quality ingredients. The selection included eggs, salmon, avocado, and more—fresh and delicious. The comfort level of the bed and pillows was outstanding, and the quality of all kitchen and bathroom amenities was top-notch. Almost everything felt authentic and thoughtfully curated. The rooftop terrace has great potential to become truly perfect—it would benefit from more greenery and stylish furniture. Still, thanks to its stunning seaside location, it's a beautiful spot to enjoy both sunrise and sunset.

One thing to keep in mind: the stairs are quite steep, which could be a challenge for guests with limited mobility. It seems that there are some ground-floor apartments available, so older guests or those with mobility concerns might consider requesting one of those.
