It is a very nice hotel with a perfect location and available free parking lot nearby. We arrived quite late in the evening and did not know what to expect (for example, not to find anyone at the Reception desk or to be charged for being late for the check-in) but it was beyond our expectation - there was a very kind man there who not only welcomed us but also provided us with a bottle of water at a decent price as at that time (at about 00.00) we could not expect to find an open shop, so he literally saved us :) The room was very nice, clean and cosy, spacial enough and we felt perfect there. The breakfast was beyond our expectations, too - pretty good and abundant with a variety of items proposed. Then I had to urgently do some work on my laptop and I was absolutely supported by the lady at the reception desk with some assistance in the lounge of the hotel. The last but not least, it was all at a very good price for what you receive! So, to cut it short, it was all absolutely fine and I would definitely recommend this place! Thank you, staff! :)

Good value for money a simple shower that provided hot water and a good variety at breakfast.

Rooms a bit dated and haven't to use pool at sister hotel, not a lot of room around pool and most sunbeds broken

- Very good breakfast buffet. Much better than most other places in Italy. - The room was spacious and nice, with nice furniture and decent amenities. - Location was great. We were able to walk to the city, we had a great vantage point for cycling and it was not far from Firenze. - They had free private parking behind the hotel.

- While most of the staff was incredibly nice and friendly, some were a bit grumpy. - Room is a bit older, but with a lot of character. - While it was good value for money, it was one of the more expensive places on our journey for two people for one night.

Delicious coffee every morning, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely buffet breakfast and great location.

Unfortunately the sister hotel pool was not available.

Staff extremely pleasant. Coffee was great! The room was nice, clean, bed was comfortable, I slept really well. The first hotel in Italy where we could watch BBC news in English. Breakfast was okay, a bit basic but all right.

We were moved into their sister hotel after our first night because of overbooking, so it was an inconvenience and time wasted moving our luggage from one place to another. The hotel we were moved to was meant to be a four star but I would say only on paper. But since I’m reviewing hotel Giglio, I will stick with it. I can’t think of many negatives. Some ‘genius’ designed a cupboard around the fridge in our room that prevented the fridge door from opening. When we eventually managed to open the fridge and put some juice inside, it froze it overnight, which was quite hilarious. The room had the world’s smallest TV. The management could add some fruit, eggs, or fresh fruit juice for breakfast.

The hotel is very well located, it's a very good value for the money, especially for those who have a limited budget for their holidays, the rooms are specious, clean and have all necessary for your stay. The breakfast has a pretty big variety of food, and the food is fresh and good. What I liked the most is the staff who is very nice, friendly and welcoming. It felt like being at home. Will definitely stay here once again in Montecatini.

The breakfast was really nice. We enjoyed the location as it it right in the center of Montecatini. The staff was very kind.

We didn't know when we booked that you had to walk to the pool at another hotel, we would've booked at the other hotel. Plus there were no pool towels and not enough chairs for the number of guests. The beds were a little stiff.

Evening set menu meal very good value for money. Drinks not expensive either. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and as described but no A/C

Best breakfast, I really enjoyed it. Friendly staff, parking provided, the rooms are suspicious and decorated well, it’s like you can film a movie there.

The cappuccino at breakfast was great. The breakfast was pretty good. Use of the nearby hotel pool was lovely.

Coloring on the walls of the room & burned out light in the bathroom. Be aware that although the hotel offers bikes, only 2 bikes are actually available & on a first come, first served basis each day, regardless of whether you reserved them online.
