A well run traditional family hotel. Located close to the funicular to the old town and a short walk through the adjacent park to the town centre. Rooms are comfortable and some have a balcony. Toiletries are provided and there is always plenty of hot water. Rooms are cleaned every day to a high standard and one pool towell per person is provided. The continental breakfast with eggs and bacon also provided is very good. The 3 course evening meal plus a salad buffet with a choice offering something for everyone is excellent. Lovely pool area with jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds. The staff are friendly, work hard and it shows. A special shout out to Anna in the restaurant who looked after us so well.

Need to stock lemonade or sprite or 7 up for mixer drinks as lemon soda does not work for mixing but I am just being nitpicky there!

Love this hotel. Second time here. Its in a quiet area within easy walk to town and railway station. Handy for day trips by train to Pisa Florence Lucca and others. Food is excellent. We ate in hotel every night and had lunch a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Very good value for money at 30 euro for dinner with Pasta course salad course main course and dessert. All of which change daily. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The pool and hot tub are great. The sitting areas both inside and outside are comfortable and plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel. We will be back again. The staff are exceptional. Helpful and friendly and very good at their jobs from the reception to wait staff to cleaners bar staff etc.

Friendly helpful lovely staff and a wonderful poolside breakfast was happily set up for our multi generational family. Easy parking (large free car park opposite), very convenient for the funicular (250m) to the old town which was magical at night for dinner. Recommend to make a restaurant reservation in advance especially if you want an outdoor table.

Pool not heated but jacuzzi was warm and plenty of sun beds available, good quality pool towels given out and pool service for drinks.

This was a delightful, welcoming and friendly hotel, under direct family management. The very effective air conditioning in all parts of the hotel was particularly appreciated, given the extremely hot weather, while the swimming pool was a source of comfort and enjoyment. The breakfast was plentiful, and the waiters very attentive, as were all the staff members throughout the hotel.

For me, the hotel provided all the ingredients for a relaxing stay. There was nothing I did not like.

Everything! The owner and his family are very nice, they gave us a lot of informationa what to do and where to go. The hotel gave us an"ancient times" sansation, like we were in another time. Very clean, near the terme and near the city centre and with a biiig free parking. We had breakfast but we also ordered lunch severel times there. It was delicios and cheap ( 11 euro pasta). The pool is cleaned every morning. Overall, it was a perfect accomodation.

The staff here are amazing, very helpful, would do extra for you. I also liked the location - in a very green place above the park, 3 min walk from the funicular, 5 min walk to shops, restaurants and the park. It is in a quiet place, and because it's on a hill, the views from our room were stunning. The hotel offers a high-quality breakfast, with cold and hot buffet, with plenty of choice (including cakes :)) We had a very good rest at this hotel!

Excellent location, free of charge parking spaces were available onsite and also across the road. Exceptionally clean everywhere, our room was being cleaned and towels changed every day. Full of character hotel where each guest is treated as a VIP. Great atmosphere - the family and staff were very friendly, welcoming and professional. Nothing was too much trouble - the staff went above and beyond to help me organise a surprise Birthday cake and flowers for my wife. A great bonus were the lunch and dinner booking options and the meals were delicious. Already looking forward to visiting again!

Not a supermodern hotel but very solid and clean facility, with a small outside pool and warm jakuzzi and a/c in the rooms (so happy this summer!!) Great location close to the funicular which is taking you to the top of the mountain with incredible views! Really Friendly staff.

This is more of a tourist destination rather than a business-travellers, so it can be loud in the corridor.

What a great place. We had a wonderful time here. Staff all went to great lengths to make is feel welcome and were exceptionally helpful. The food was excellent and very good value. The rooms were comfortable spacious and clean. The pool and hot tub great. Close enough to walk to the center of town and the train station but far enough away from center to be a peaceful relaxing retreat I would highly recommend the hotel Torretta to everyone.

I felt like I am back home. Really nice breakfast.( ham , eggs, salami) Very nice family Simoncini ( the ownerers).

Some rooms has not been refurbished yet and your phone charger not going to work without an adapter. Old fashioned bed linen .
