The room was spacious and open directly onto a large terrace with stunning views of Vesuvius. The bathroom and shower were a great size. Our hostess Anna was so kind and generous. She baked fresh cakes for breakfast and even got me special Gluten free breakfast items. Having a small kitchen with a big fridge was great and handy plus Anna provided fresh milk, butter, coffee and tea every day. The city park was over the road and we walked there every evening. Some days we walked into the city and others we caught the bus which was just around the corner. We stayed here for 12 days and it was very good value for money. The local area had everything you needed with shops and restaurants close by and people were very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here, away from the hectic city centre.

We felt rather like at home not in a hotel thanks to the host-Anna. The apartament was really clean and cosy. We could feel the atmosphere of Italy and Naples there. And it was wonderful, that was the thing we were looking for.Every morning Anna prepared for us breakfast which consisted of coffee, fresh fruit, yoghurt,croissants or homemade cake, cookies, butter nutella , jam. It was enough for a good start of the day:) Anna offered cleaning the room every day (which we didn't need). The view from the terrace on the Vesuvio marvellous! The contact with the host via WhatsApp perfect. The apartament is in a close proximity of Capodimonte Museum and the park surrounding it. It takes about 20-30 minutes (depending on the punctuality of the bus and the palce you are going to) to get to the city centre but we wouldn't change the place we stayed for the one in the city centre! There are 2-3 minutes to get to the nearest bus stop. The shop where you can do the grocery shopping is 1 minute walk from the apartament (in the building opposite). I wish I always had such a caring and hospitable host. It was a wonderful stay and we really recommend the place!

Wonderful host Anna and great accommodation. I and two friends recently stayed at Il Portoncino and had a triple room which was both spacious and very clean. Great large terrace with a wonderful view of Vesuvius and where we had our very nice breakfast. Whilst the accommodation is a little out of the main city ,there are two frequent buses which are very cheap and which take you into the heart of Naples.

Nothing, although to get those views , the apartment is situated on the third floor and there is no lift, so anyone with mobility concerns might need to choose somewhere more accessible.

Loved our stay here. Best appartment I have had the pleasure of staying in. Spotlessly clean rooms and amazing sun terrace with views of Vesuvius. Host Anna is lovely and sees to all your needs. The location was perfect for us, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but within easy reach of it via bus and metro. Plenty shops/cafes/bars locally. Would highly recommend this place if visiting Napoli. Will definitely choose to stay here again when I return. ❤️❤️❤️

Nothing. There are 3 flights of steep winding stairs to reach the appartments, so wouldn't be suitable for people with limited mobility. p

The view, ah the view. Vesuvius in the distance, this morning I watched a seagull soar in front of Vesuvius, above the rooftops, and was sad I would be leaving. Our host has a kind of intelligence to sense what the guest needs, and how to communicate, she is really wonderful, and highly professional.

We should be honest that there are quite a few stairs to get the to the top floor. For me, the view, and comfort, and wonderful host, the nice neighborhood, made it all worth it. And you know, probably not bad for my figure either.

Anna and her daughter were great! Very available, attentive and kind hosts. The location has an incredible rooftop for breakfast. In addition, there is a large park and a museum that is a 2-minute walk away that overlooks the entire city. I would point out that the room was great, very large, furnished, with a great shower! To get there, it’s rather well served. With my friend we had an excellent stay thanks to our hosts with whom we shared pleasant mornings around discussion about Naples.

This is a gem of a B&B. The hostess was above and beyond helpful, and so lovely. These beautiful rooms with a fabulous rooftop terrace was the perfect place for us. The chiming of the church bells, the local shops, an easy walk to San Gennome Catacombs and local bus stop /Metro only minutes away. Capodemonte is a fabulous place to stay if you want respite from the crazy downtown Naples. Easy public transport €1.80 or a taxi €15.

Anna was an absolutely excellent host. The room was extremely clean and well prepared for our arrival. The breakfast was delicious. This apartment is a really great catch, even despite being a bit further from the city center, absolutely worth it! ❤️
