Great location near Ortisei. One of the hiking trails accesable from the hotel in few minutes and that trail is a great for a walk through the woods to Ortisei. Pet friendly hotel, our dog was more than welcomed. Friendly and helpfull staff, great breakfast and dinner.

It’s a cozy, well-maintained, family-owned hotel. The stuff is very friendly and nice. They serve generous portions for breakfast, dinner and lunch. When you stay at the hotel, you get a bus card that allows you to travel in the area - the bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and we went by bus to all our hiking starting points - the location of the hotel was perfect and we didn’t feel like we needed it a car. Big thanks to the stuff, we’ll definitely come back!

The hotel is situated at 4km far from Ortisei in a very quiet area,, but the bus station is right in front the hotel, you can take 3 buses that come really quick... to Ortisei, Selva Val Gardena, and even to Bolzano. At check-in you receive a bus pass with QR code to scan in the bus, for free rides...otherwise one way ticket was 2 eur. Breakfast was so good, various and healthy, with homemade pastries and sweets. I was also suprised by their restaurant, we ate on their beautiful terrace and food was delicious. Which was great, as I haven't seen other restaurants nearby. Parking is right in front of the hotel. Cleaning is 10+. All the hotel employees were very friendly and helpful, if you need any assistance. At the reception are free maps and brochures with hikes, trails, basically everything you do in Val Gardena area.

We haven't received the bus pass when we checked in, I had to ask for it and the person at the reception told me to come for it after 6 pm, but we arrived at 3 pm and went in Ortisei for lunch, paid for the bus and so on. Would be nice to have it ready for the guests, once they arrive.

Loved the hospitality, the staff took care of things really well. Good breakfast, cappuccino. They also have a resident dog and cat which was nice after a long day of hiking. If you do not have a car, the bus stop is right in front and there are buses every thirty minutes that take you to Ortisei or in the other direction to Bolzano. The price was fair among all the other ones in the area. The Tirol guest card was included in the price so I could use the buses and trains in the area for free.

No easy way to walk (no obvious walking paths) to Ortisei, you need a bus or car or bicycle

I was honored to stay at Hotel Pontives for a few days during the Christmas holidays far away from home where the food and each one of the staff who worked there made me feel like I was still at home with their generosity , the smile on their face , and the perfect quiet cosy vibe that makes you want to hang out there with a book in your hand all day long. They have their own restaurant and where you are hungry late in the evening you get to taste the most authentic Italian pasta 🍝 that looks you straight in the eyes and tells you I was made with lots of love just for you Of course it’s winter and ski resorts and the beautiful city of orisei (utijëi) is just a few minutes drive - still needed no car and it was easy to get by with their shuttle service that functioned from morning time till 6pm each day - and afterwards buses come around so you still manage to go back and forth to city center at night. Rooms were very clean , and you had an amazing balcony to sit down and watch the astonishing night skies where there was almost no light pollution to make each star 🌟 look clear and take you into a place of deep introspection, a thing we all need every once in a while.

The location is excellent, and most of the staff are very friendly, providing top-notch service. The restaurant is amazing, and the food, including breakfast, is fantastic. Shuttle buses run frequently to the town, ski areas, and other key spots. The hotel rooms have a charming old-school style but are very cozy, which didn’t bother us at all. There’s also a convenient ski room. Highly recommended if you want to stay close to town without overspending on fancy accommodations. In-town restaurants are much more expensive but not necessarily better. The ski lifts are about 6–8 minutes away, and the snow sledding experience, especially with the mountain train, is incredible. The views from the mountains are absolutely worth the trip. The town itself is amazing, full of charm and character.

The Semmeln or Brötchen can be better. More Salami versions would be great.

Fantastic place to base ourselves.The staff were exceptionally friendly, the evening meal we had was extremely filling and tasty. Breakfast was brilliant and the lady(Martina) who attended to everybody was extremely attentive. Make sure you get the Gardena pass as this was brilliant, we even had a day trip into Trento. The pass allows you to get about on the public busses all over Gardena and beyond.

This sweet family run hotel was an absolute joy to stay at. It was convenient to everything we wished to do in the Dolomites without being in the middle of the high traffic tourist areas. Free bus service everywhere if you didn’t want to drive. The children had plenty of space to go outside and play soccer, ping pong, or foosball. The food was impeccable and the staff delightful! Every request was handled with care and everyone went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. Honestly, we enjoyed every bit of our stay here and are so grateful to our hosts - we would certainly return!

It is a bit dated, but comfortable and very very well maintained. There is no AC in the bedrooms but we visited during June and the weather was so beautiful and comfortable we wouldn’t have needed it anyway.

Stayed at the Hotel Pontives and used it as a base to sightsee around this area. Very comfortable. A quaint lodge feeling. Our room was clean , big and had a verandah with table and chairs, which was nice to enjoy the views. Bed comfortable and bathroom not modern but clean. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast menu had a lot of variety, hot and cold. Ate in the restaurant and meals were tasty and everyday prices. Carparking out the front and bus stop into the centre at the end of the driveway. Enjoyed our three nights.

Great breakfast and dinner. There was a lot of food and good quality. The room and common areas were spotless. Location was good- a short bus ride into Ortisei (10 minutes and bus stop 50 m from hotel). Staff was great - gave us free bus pass for our stay and provided good recommendations sites (Secada and Alpe di Suisi).
