All in all we've fallen in love with Val Gardena, all thanks to its amazing nature and our formidable stay with Daniel / the Telfnerhof! Before our arrival we were already in touch with the main host, Daniel. Who helped prepare our stay (where to rent ski and snowboard equipment, where to eat, how to get to X, etc.), this was very nice and helped us settle in quickly after our arrival. His wife and mother are also very kind and ready to answer your questions. They really take the time for you and you can see that they're proud of their establishment and great hosts. With Daniel even going so far as to bring me to the slopes when my boyfriend was ill. The apartment is spacious for two people and (almost) everything you need is already there (towels, bed linen, dish wash liquid, sponges, shower gel and shampoo). We cooked every day and that went very smoothly, just beware of turning the dishwasher on at the same time as the stove (that's not possible). There's also a storage room for skiing equipment (heated) and for 10€ pp you can rent a private sauna. Additionally the town is super close to Ortisei and other skiing villages, there's also a (ski)bus you can take (but it is more of a hassle). When you rent your equipment at MK Malsiner, you get a nice discount because you stay at the Telfnerhof - do bring the pamphlet with the discount!!

Unfortunately there is no laundromat at the property, although we packed in such a way we wouldn't need it during our stay (of a week). Our view wasn't very nice; namely across from our apartment people were building another residence.

I travelled with my son for a week of skiing in January. The one bedroom apartment was generous and well appointed, and the shower water pressure was fantastic. The kitchen was very well stocked, though we didn’t use it except for making coffee and fixing cold breakfast in the mornings. The electric kettle was great from boiling a pot of water really fast. The views of the mountains and the valley were breathtaking. Greatly appreciated how quiet it was.

Not deal breakers, but wish there were a washer/dryer available, as well as paper towels in the kitchen and facial tissues in the bathrooms. The bed set up in the living room for my 6’2” son was barely big enough for him, though he didn’t complain :-). Wish there were more options in Europe for 2 separate beds in the main bedroom.

The place is beyond our expectations. What a great lodging option for those who want to visit the Dolomites (Western part). The location is perfect- in a small village not far from major hub Ortisei. It is a great value to stay than the latter. The view from the apartment is stunningly beautiful. We are two couples in a two-bedroom apartment. There is a kitchen with all the necessary utensils and dishes. There is a grocery store where we bought food for breakfast and a restaurant where we had dinners.

The host was very nice and gave us a lot of useful local advice and recommendations. Amazing views from the balcony. Kitchen fully functional. Great bathroom with a nice shower cubicle that did not leak at all! Just a short drive to any place in Val Gardena (bus running to Ortisei once an hour also available). Plenty of free parking space right at the property.

The bed was rather creaky and the thick duvet felt too hot even in September (cold nights but heating off).

Really spacious lounge/kitchen area. Incredible view. Comfortable bed - the blankets felt like clouds. Location is amazing if you have a car - only 10 minutes from town Ortisei. There’s only 1 restaurant in the very small village where the place is.

The bathroom had a weird smell to it - even before we got there. But when the doors closed it doesn’t affect the rest of the area. No condiments ie, no oil, salt, pepper

The apartment is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Parking was in front of the house. Daniel was a great host. He was very responsive and gave us good recommendations on restaurants and hiking places. The village is very quiet and the bus to Ortesei is convenient and free. We had a perfect stay and highly recommend this accommodation to any travelers.

Amazing view! Very calm location far from the crowd there can be at this period of the year in the Dolomites. Very nice balcony with sun in the morning and very nice as well for dinners. Well furnished, maybe add a washing machine? Good bed. Daniel is very friendly and available with good advice and tips. It was a great stay, thank you very much!

Amazing view and the most informative, helpful, and friendly host I’ve ever met. Daniel was proactive in giving his local advice for our hikes around the area and was very generous with the amenities! The location of the apartment is great as it’s private and it’s convenient to take a bus to Ortisei where you have cable car access to Seceda and Alpe di Siusi. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the kitchen is sufficiently usable. Overall one of the best stays I’ve had!

Nothing really

Daniel and his mom were absolutely great and helpful. They received us and cared about us during all the staying. My family, friends, and I had a great time. The view from the kitchen is outstanding, and you find everything you need (except for an oven, but just because it was my bday and we missed baking a cake) in the apartment. Spacious, bright, cozy, and super comfortable. Thank you Daniel for receiving us and viele Grüße to your mom! Totally recommend

Property itself is great, very spacious and homey, the location was great for us, it's very close to Ortisei but much quieter. The hosts are terrific and were sweet and helpful 😊 we felt very safe there.
