The property comprised a modern bedroom, small balcony and a really good bathroom. We had access to a communal kitchen and dining area which worked really well. There was also a terrace on the roof which looked great but which we did not use as the weather was rather windy. The communal kitchen and refrigerator worked really well and was not at all crowded when we were there. The fridge allowed guests to leave foot and beverages for others. We arrived late at night and were rather daunted by the lack of any identification but the video provided by the owner (which we should have looked at before arriving) took us through the access arrangements very well. My only criticism is that we should have been given a heads up on the 50 steps to get up to the apartment (no lift). Still, it kept us fit!

The stairs

This accommodation is even better than the photos make it appear. Everything here is super-modern and beautifully designed. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spectacular. Added to that, the owner was super-helpful in every way. Location-wise it would be hard to do any better - the property puts you in very easy walking distance of all of the key things you need to see and do in historic Palermo.

If you're staying here and arriving by car - be aware that you're inside the ZTL (congestion charging zone) and also that Palermo is old, meaning the streets are super-narrow and packed solid with cars, making it really hard work to find a parking space. Also be aware that the apartment is up a staircase - there's no lift, so you'll have to haul your luggage up a couple of sets of stairs.

Pros: ideally located in the historic centre, the rooms are quiet, super clean and perfectly equipped with almost everything you need, amazing attention to detail and modern touches, especially the bathrooms are equal to a 4+ stars hotel. Both the property manager and the cleaning lady were exceptionally kind and helpful.

Not really a con, but a nice to have: it would be good to add a mini fridge to each room for more independence, as now the guests have to get out of their rooms to get their stuff from the fridge in the communal area.

very central location, quiet, everything is brand new, clean, over all very safe especially if you’re a solo traveler, great for those traveling alone. Constant access to the balcony which is good if you’re working from remote. The owners and staff were kind and able to answer all my questions anytime I had them.

At first I was intimated by the building and stairs but it’s just an older building. I feel the need to write this because I think it can be easily misunderstood but it’s a neighborhood surrounded by families, residents, etc.

The facility was made available at the end of 2022. Fresh and fragrant. In the central part of Palermo. View of the cathedral from the roof terrace. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Our host Andrea, warmly welcomed us, explained everything and was at our disposal every day. Very friendly and involved. He helped us in a sticky situation. Just an angel! Very comfortable room, great bed, huge TV, charming balcony. Spacious bathroom, running hot water, great quality cosmetics and fluffy white towels. I will certainly recommend this place to all my friends going to doi Palermo.

If you are going to the property by your own car, please note that the apartment is located in the ZTL zone, for which you need to buy a day ticket (and activate it BEFORE entering the zone)!

The location was fantastic, close to the cathedral and all the main sites. It was spotlessly clean and quiet and felt very safe. The bathroom was gorgeous. I would definitely stay there again.

The only thing to make note of is the two flights of stairs being an older building in the historic centre and if like us staying in room 4 at the top there is also the spiral staircase. Everyone can access the large roof terrace using these.

Truly the best room we’ve ever had in Italy. This is actually luxury, unlike many that advertise as such. The linens are incredible- they add a beautiful pillow top to the bed. The pillows are magic. The space is so comfortable we had to force ourselves out. We will stay here again when we return to Palermo. The staff is also wonderful and dealt with issues promptly. Thank you so much.

Beautiful, beautiful Room in a pretty good location. Very clean room, bathroom and TV with Netflix was great so we could watch something in English. Our first walk there from the train station was really horrible and we had a terrible view of palermo which later improved. In palermo your room here is your oasis.

The stairs are so steep. There is NO elevator/lift.

what I loved most about this accommodation was the contrast between the outside old style building and the modern interior decor. I felt like I was in a New York room. location wise is superb. super clean and the host absolutely fantastic on recommending the right restaurant’s and bars. had a top class stay overall!

Very well equipped room in the centre of Palermo. It had everything we needed. Access to the terrace and the communal kitchen were another plus. Very quiet despite the central location.

A couple of hooks in the bathroom for towels and bath robe would have been useful.
