The sound insulation. There is noise from the busy street and also a big antenna on top that is very and creepy noisy when it's windy. Something must be done with the windows frames and bring them in this century

The breakfast is good, with a variety of options. Fresh food is available every day, which is another positive point. The beach is amazing, with easy access, just across the street. But be careful, high-season umbrella and chair rentals can make an impact on your budget trip (definitely recommend sort the prices beforehand with the hotel, so you won`t be taking it by surprise) the whole sand strip of pescara is surrounded by "LIDOS" which are the beach front restaurant/nighclubs, and they ALL charge A LOT for just the umbrella and chairs. City Center is 1.7km from the Hotel, which for me was easily reachable within walking distance. Not long, not short, just on point. Dinner at the hotel is good, but there are better and cheaper options in the city Center. The staff are all friendly and very approachable. But I`d personally recommend that if you do not speak Italian AT ALL, practice the basics (especially if you are heading before the summer season), you might find yourself stuck with the language barrier.

Nothing that I dislike

Really excellent staff - I'm learning Italian and they were all patient and kind, asking if I wanted to speak in English or Italian, and then helping with my poor language skills! The room was large with a good-sized balcony with seating and a fabulous view of the beach/sea. Plenty of parking along the road in front of the hotel at this time of the year (we stayed in February, but I think it must get really busy in the summer - the hotel does have parking at an extra charge). We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and breakfast is fabulous, with an enormous choice of everything you could possibly wish for. This was also excellent value for money - I'm sure it is much more expensive in summer as its location is so good - but it was great for a February stay. We walked into the town from the hotel - less than a mile and a really nice walk. We also walked back along the beach from the river - the beach is a wonderful sandy beach, really pretty. Thoroughly recommend Pescara and Hotel Maja.

Check-out time at 10.30am is just a little early. 11am would be preferable.

We stayed at this hotel as a family (2 adults and a child) and were very happy with our experience! When booking, we forgot to mention that we needed parking, but the staff kindly found a spot for our car — which we really appreciated. Our reservation included breakfast, and it was truly delicious and varied, with something new every day. We also had dinner at the hotel a few times, and the food was excellent — very tasty and felt homemade. A special thank you to Sandrine — she speaks Russian and was always kind, helpful, and explained everything in detail. She made our stay even more comfortable. We definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly come back!

The biggest plus of this hotel is the employees. Kind, available, always attentive, present. Clean rooms, rich and decent breakfast (as a European I was still surprised that there were no fresh vegetables at all, only cooked ones). The city center is a 20-minute walk (on foot). The hotel offers free bicycles for a predetermined time. The beach is clean and well-kept, the restaurants along the coast are chic, the food is fresh and good. Don't miss the Ichnusa beer from Sardinia.

The place is conveniently located across the street from a beautiful, clean beach with a very good breakfast selection. The hotel room was spacious and featured an amazing balcony overlooking the beach, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I wish we could have stayed longer, but unfortunately, we had other plans.

One aspect that could be improved is the availability of an iron; I requested one at the reception, but was informed they do not have it. This was a bit disappointing, as it was the only minor issue during an otherwise fabulous stay. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this location.

Very strange breakfast system: buffet, but you cannot serve yourself. Must go and stand right beside the croissants and ask a staff member to please give you one. Same for every item in the buffet. And, a very annoying hard-rock music in the breakfast hall. Very strange atmosphere as the personnel seemed to enjoy that type of music during breakfast. Quite awful. Outside that area, peaceful Christmas music.

We had a room with a huge terrace overlooking the sea. Comfortable bed, small lift, small but good bathroom with bidet, good staff. A place to park the car next door. Breakfast was okay.

Their air conditioning wasn’t turned on and it was very warm. Only way to sleep was with door to terrace and bathroom window wide open. Feels a little unsafe in unfamiliar surroundings with for open to the terrace.

The location is bang on and we had a beautiful view across the whole beach from our room. There are numerous bars and restaurants close by for an endless entertainment. The staff are all super friendly and will do everything possible to keep their guests happy. We will certainly be staying at Hotel Maya again if in this area again….it was a pleasant stay. We liked our spacious room and comfortable bed and appreciated the black out blind. It was very quiet round the side of the hotel so slept well. A safe was provided for valuables and a fridge. Loved and used the complimentary bicycles! Breakfast was great apart from the coffee, disappointingly it was powdered from a machine. Good free on street parking as hotel car park was chargeable. Staff were friendly and helpful

Although the room was clean, the same can’t be said for the window! There was a side view of the sea but we looked straight onto a derelict dirty building which was off putting. The plus was that it was quiet away from the main road and you could pull the blind down. Car park was 10 euros daily Bottles of water were provided daily in the fridge but we were charged for them when checking out.
