The place is really nice. Beautiful and very well-kept garden. We had dinner there and it was really great. Excellent food at a reasonable price. Staff are very helpful. But the beautiful garden is exceptional.

The only reason I am not giving a 10 is that the room's air-conditioning cannot be controlled individually. One cannot set the temperature required but the AC has to be either switched on which at night was a bit cold, or it had to be switched off completely. We visited during a heat wave so switching off the a/c was not on the table. Another improvement could involve the dessert offered during dinners as we ate there 3 times, and we were given the same dessert options. This does not apply to the food which was exceptional.

This is a charming and tranquil place where my family stayed for five days in Piazza Armerina. We genuinely appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, especially around the beautiful pool area, which was perfect for relaxation. The place is so serene that even the kids enjoyed the calm and quiet we had. The wonderful staff and delicious food also contributed to making our stay truly enjoyable. It was a great choice to stay here.

The air conditioner in our room needs some assistance to cool the room effectively, even though we initially believed the breeze was sufficient.

We stayed for one night after a visit to the Villa Romana di Casale, and this was a very convenient location just about 15 minutes drive. The hotel has a very old-world, antique, traditional feel to it, including the very old-fashioned skeleton key for our room's door. Clean and tidy. The highlight was dinner at their restaurant, which was a fixed menu for a reasonable price: with a large selection of delicious appetizers, a fantastic pasta dish, and the main dish of roast pork slices with a side of buttered carrots and peas were outstanding. The menu changes every evening. The grounds are very rustic and lovely, although we didn't have enough time to explore much of it. Breakfast was fine with a good selection of savory and sweets, including some home-baked pastries.

The quiet countryside was such a nice break from city sightseeing. The historic villa was furnished with authentic antiques, and there was always something interesting to look at both inside and outside of the building. The dinner was very pleasant, and I recommend the food- basic Sicilian cuisine and plentiful. Our room was lovely and had a private terrace from which to enjoy the sunset.

We liked everything about the property, but it was sometimes hard to communicate with the staff in English, especially at dinner. For example, had we been informed that we only got one small glass of wine per person with the meal, we would have ordered our own bottle.

The location, just a short drive from Piazza Armerina, is truly inspiring. The building’s rich heritage, coupled with the expansive open spaces, inviting swimming pool, and beautiful gardens, along with the warm hospitality and exceptional comfort of the bed, created an unforgettable experience.rt of the bed, created an unforgettable experience.

The ping-pong area was closed for use, leaving a sense of disappointment in the air. As for the open spaces, the gardens were overgrown and wild. This area could truly shine with a bit of attention, transforming it into inviting paths perfect for a leisurely stroll. A little extra work could revive their charm, making every walk a delightful experience.

Beautiful country retreat surrounded by greenery. Lovely breakfast with delicious homemade jams and regional cookies, and a wide variety of cakes as well as the usual fare. Within driving distance of local amenities and several nearby attractions like the Villa Romana del Casale and Morgantina. An hour or two away by car from key Sicilian towns. Sweet staff. I loved the sensory garden by the pool.

You definitely need a car unless you plan to stay at the villa throughout.

Villa Trigona is a hidden gem, a beautiful old building with large rooms, traditionally furnished, and we had a lovely balcony with a view over the gardens. This was our favourite place to stay in 3 weeks of travelling around the island and came at a price much less than some of the other hotels we used. The pool is a lovely area to relax in and it was nice to wander the grounds. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The location, whilst a little out of the way, was ideal to visit the very impressive Villa Romana del Casale which has the most amazing mosaics, still in situ within the ruins of an extensive Roman villa complex. It's also useful as a stopover on the way to Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, another very impressive site. We opted to have the evening meal which is an absolute must do with 4 courses of delicious Sicilian food and some wine included, at a very reasonable price. Again, one of the best meals we had in 3 weeks on Sicily. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Thankyou Villa Trigona for making our first night ever in Sicily so memorable.

Nothing, everything was excellent!!

Everything - As soon as your get to the villa you are made welcome. The Villa has been updated to a high standard but keeping the charm and most of the original furnishings. Our room was a suite very spacious with lots of balconies and a special patio area. The room was clean and the bathroom was so clean with plenty of towels and a very good shower. The bed was so comfortable. There are plenty of public places to sit and enjoy. The exterior of the property was lovely well maintained with lots of shady areas. A lovely patio where in the summer months you enjoy a lovely breakfast and the homecooked evening meals. The pool was the best with lots of loungers in the shade or out. There are also lots of other activities, Table Tennis and bikes for the guests. This villa is in the centre of Sicily so was a good base to see some of Sicily sites. We went to The Valley of the Temples and Mount Etna. approx 1.5 hours away. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Trigona.

We really appreciated our stay at the villa. This familial villa has been beautifully renovated while keeping its original charm and provides many options to relax and enjoy your time in a calm environment (swimming pool, walks, small soccer area, etc.). The room was large and comfortable, with a nice view. The dinner and breakfast were very copious and delicious. The staff was very kind. The villa is situated very close to Piazza Armerina and La Villa Romana del Casale. We highly recommend!

Great location, near town but surrounded by nature. Excellent facilities: swimming pool, ping pong table, bicycles… and different outdoor outdoor spaces. Rooms were spacious, beautiful and comfortable. Good quality towels. Helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast and dinner. Overall, excellent value.

Minor detail, even though I had stated that I don’t eat meat, the second course of our evening meal for me was chicken. I was quite full so I didn’t’ mind it much.
