The rain shower was nice, the bed was a proper king mattress for two people, and comfortable. The replenished daily and free sodas and water was a much appreciated touch. Location was great and building was classically beautiful (loved the giant entrance door and the elevator). Good wifi and temperature control. Hostess let us leave our bags in the foyer and take a meeting there after checkout.

The rooms are not all the same and not what you'll see in the photos. Ours had no art or decoration, no ceiling mural, no double shower, just a wall desk and tv next to the bed. There was a moldy musty smell that was strong when we first arrived until we got used to it, it seemed to come from the closet. The plastic "fake rug" floor texture is practical, I'm sure, but not very comfortable or pleasing.

Comfy bed. Clean. I got the soft pillows I asked for. Location was great. Old fashioned lift.

Our apartment was small and there was not much room for suitcases. But it was okay. Not much info in the way of local recommendations. I suppose I am old-fashioned and like the human touch. We needed to carry our bags up a flight of stairs to get to the lift.

We loved our stay at Domus 21. The room was a perfect blend of historic and modern. The location was superb. Steps away from the Curio di Pompeii, and and nearly all of the ancient Roman sites were easily accessible by foot. We walked to all of our destinations - from the Vatican, to the Colosseum, to the Gallerie Borguese - and to all of our restaurants. Check-in went smoothly as we were able to drop off our bags early and check in later.

There is a half flight of stairs to get to a charming lift, for those for whom accessibility is an issue.

Our stay at this accommodation was absolutely perfect. It’s ideally located in the heart of Rome, within walking distance to all the main attractions. The Pantheon is just 6 minutes away, the Roman Forum is 11 minutes, and the Colosseum is a short 20-minute walk. The Vatican is about 40 minutes, though we took our time and stopped for coffee along the way. There are plenty of restaurants just a few minutes away, and an ATM is only a minute’s walk. Our host was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready with helpful answers to our questions. She provided us with numerous recommendations that made our visit even more enjoyable. We also left our luggage with the host in the morning and managed to freely explore the city. The room itself was perfect for our needs. It was clean, with a comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom, and thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee and water. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Domus 21 was wonderful. It's a small personalized hotel located on the fifth floor of the building. There is an elevator, however you do have to take your baggage up a small flight of stairs to reach it, but it wasn't bad. The hotel its self exceeded our expectations. The front desk girl was amazing and extremely attentive, even gave us great recommendations for dining. Our room was a wonderful size, especially for Europe with a large bathroom, and wonderful shower. The location is wonderful for getting around downtown. The only flaw we came across was some noisy neighbor, whom we finally had to ask to please be quiet at 1:30 am, but that was not the hotels fault. And when I told front desk about it the next morning, they followed up with our neighbors to make sure it didn't happen again.

Absolutely everything was amazing. Location - super central, you can walk to all the major attractions including Vatican City. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Rooms - beautiful! Stunning decor and exceptionally clean. Comfy bedding and included coffee, water and snacks was much appreciated Service - second to none. Both hosts are incredibly lovely. They go out of their way to help in any way needed. On our last day there was a taxi strike and Gregorio drove us to the train station to save us a long walk - you will not find a better place to stay, we can’t wait to come back!

Nothing, everything was amazing

The location is quite good but noisy- it feels like it might be on the road to the hospital. The room itself was very nice, spacious, and comfortable.

There could be more signage on the building once inside on where to go. If you have elevator issues- maybe pick another place. This is an old-style elevator- which works but could give some pause. We were awakened one night by noise from the street, which is surprising because this is the 6th floor. So just keep that in mind if you are there over the weekend.

The location was perfect. Walking distance for all the touristy placed like the trevi fountain and the pantheon. The staff were very welcoming, understanding and nice. The interiors were amazing. The bed was comfortable. The aesthetic of the place is incredible, something very special.

The only thing to keep in mind is that you will need to Cary your luggage through a half a flight of stairs to reach the elevator ( the elevator is another great element of this place very vintage)

This hotel is located in the center of the historical center and walkable to everything(maybe not the Vatican City). Spacious room, free items in the mini bar…very accommodating.

Short walk up a few stairs to lift. Could be troublesome if you are older with heavy bags. Not a big deal but one night once returned for the evening the lift wouldn’t work. Not the responsibility of Domus and maybe someone on another floor just didn’t shut the door properly, but we had to walk up the 5 flights.

The property has been very well planned in order to make a stay there very comfortable and effortless. They really did think of everything that a traveler would need. The property is quiet, the location is perfect, the view is beautiful, the bathroom is great (double shower and double sink). The light switches at your bed side to control the room lights are a really nice touch. Free water and coke in the mini bar are a special gesture……….! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Wish we were still there!!
