great location, fairly clean, but uncomfortable beds and incompetent staff, we paid for the room the day before we checked out, but when we checked out at night, they rudely demanded that I pay again.

In simplest terms, it's a slightly-better-than-basic hotel, and when you factor in location, is a very good value. Great location, large rooms, 3-4 minutes walk from the repubblica train station and about a 10 minute walk from termini. You'll be able to make it just about anywhere in Rome from here. Staff was generally friendly and helpful.

The queen was two fulls put together which was moderately annoying. Shower was slightly small but nothing crazy, I think it ran cold two times in two weeks so no big complaints.

perfect location! Walkable from the train station and to all the main sights, lots of shopping and restaurants. Elevator is convenient. The rooms are newly remodeled and perfectly clean. Room is made daily and clean towels provided. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is old (which I think is a plus, historic) and has character; the rooms are modern. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe call them directly and see if I can get a “Roman discount “ since I was born in Rome 😉

Room for 2 was tiny, but had enough space for our suitcases and stuff… No curtains so some light comes through the shutters. Breakfast is open only until 9:30 (or more like 9:15) and it’s just basic coffee and pastries, some juices. ok for Italians 😉. All in all the hotel is on the expensive side for what it offers, but Rome is expensive…

All the staff we met during our trip made us feel so welcome and were so friendly. Was my first time travelling alone with my daughter and our first holiday since 2019 and We have only returned home and already planning our next trip back to stay there. We loved every moment of our stay in hotel Elide. The two brothers at reception couldn't have been any nicer they made our stay.

Extremely friendly staff. Great location (near to the bus, metro, taxi stations). Very, very clean (it was cleaned every day).

Huge noise - from the street and from the doors of other rooms (unlocking, locking, slamming, ...). It was almost impossible to sleep. No safety deposit box in the room. Small shower.

I found this place on booking during a previous stay in Rome, and I felt very lucky that there happened to be a room available at the last minute during this most recent visit. I wound up staying here for several days, as the price was absolutely amazing, especially given it was the peak summer season. Aside from this, the room was both nicely renovated and modern, as well as literally being partly like a museum, given the 19th century ornate wooden ceiling, as well as the painting and some of the fixtures. The view was also very nice, being on a smaller Roman street with cafes across the way. I really enjoyed my stay here, it made being in Rome such a treat. The location was also excellent, as it is very close to the main Rome train terminal. You can easily walk there in about ten minutes, as well as the hotel being on the way to the main attractions such as the Ancient Roman forum further down (you could walk there too, or take the subway a few stops down). Highly recommended.

Well located. Plenty of restaurants around. There's a delicious bakery just beside it. Many options of buses that bring you to the main tourist places. Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable mattress.

Part of the payment and the tourist tax could be paid only by cash. They don't accept card. Terrible wifi signal in the bedroom. Nearly inexistente.

Excellent location - easy walking distance from the main station and key attractions. Nice neighborhood, very polite and helpful staff.

The bathroom was not comfortable, no slippers in the room, toiletries scarce, and too much noise at night from the street.

Great staff! Very accommodating and helpful. We checked out early, went to pick up our bags that they nicely stored for us and were offered to stay a bit on the first floor for washroom and sitting before leaving to the airport.
