This place exceeded all expectations. A rural property that seems to be run by 2 young men that take turns in reception. They are very nice, helpful and have a very personal approach to clients. You don't feel the distance ebtween staff and guests usually found in hotels. Room was great and property is pretty. Located conveniently for a roadtrip around Toscana. I got food poisoning from a raw sausage in San Gimignano and the hotel was helpful getting me better. Price was great. Breakfast is good. No pressure for check out. Highly recomended.

Wi fi is not great.

Breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection to suit all tastes, from delicious sweet treats, to mouth-watering tomatoes, mozzarella and roasted courgettes. All extremely beautifully served. And with a real Italian cappuccino, espresso or whatever one orders. The location is also very good, a convenient base for visiting San Gimignano, Volterra or other Tuscany towns. We chose it to attend a concert in Lajatico.

We liked the beds the least, they could have been a bit more comfortable. We also ran out of parking spaces the night we got home late and had to park the car on the street. However, this was not a big problem as the street is quiet, almost traffic-free and extremely safe.

Two young men are running this hotel, with a high scene of hostility and a rare touch of familiarity. We were happily surprised over this lovely gem, and will definitely both recommend this place to everyone and will absolutely come back. Stay here in this lovely little village for a more authentic experiece in the San Gimignano area and let the hotel owners bring you to the local restaurants and bars! It was just a quick drive through, nothing fancy. I would not stay there again, rather choose A place in Volterra. Nice balkony, quiet surrounding, could go for a walk in nature, amazing birds……

It was too far from San Gimignano, when i booked it, i thought i would quickly Go there for food in the evening, but i was tired driving and just wanted to walk. The little town had one restaurant and that was not good.

Hotel is in a marvelous corner of Tuscany! We spend wonderful days here. Hotel stuff is very friendly. We field here as at a house of a friend. We came as guests but leaved as friends. Thank You so much! Gyuszi from the P. team! :)

It was perfect! A lovely family run property with no fuss. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a huge variety of sweet & savoury dishes. Nothing was too much trouble.. Lovely clean rooms, quick & easy check in.. Great location at the very bottom of the hill up to San Gimigiano..(Definitely not walking distance, but an easy drive up for dinner).. Pool is lovely also with choice of an Aperol Spritz, Beer, Wine etc.. to take poolside..

A lovely traditional Italian hotel. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast selection was excellent, especially Ana's delicious cakes. The pool area was pleasant for relaxing and it was a great location to explore San Gimignano and the surrounding area.

If I had to choose something, the traffic on the main road next to the property can sometimes be heard from the pool. Not a huge issue though.

The room was so beautiful, the complimentary breakfast had a large variety and was delicious, and the staff was so kind and helpful! The location was close via car to lots of historical cities, and walkable to pretty views! My husband and I had to book last minute because a previous reservation somewhere else fell through, and they were so accommodating in helping us out! Would absolutely stay there again!

The pool wasn’t opened but I think it was due to the season! Not a deal breaker, just would have been nice since it’s advertised!

Le Volpaie Owners are an amazing couple, so friendly and sweetheart. they will do what ever it take for you to have a pleasant stay. i got a free upgrade upon my arrival it was a nice gesture and am very thankfull. the breakfast was made with love, the pool very clean, the location is in the middle of the village surrounded with vineyards, all Cedars Trees, its just the perfect escape to the Tuscany Countryside.
