I stayed in Hotel Vittoria for 3 days and 2 nights. When I arrived, the staff member who met me was very accommodating and although it was not yet the time to check in, he gave me the key and said the room was ready, and I asked him if the restaurant was open for lunch. He said yes and after settling my luggage, I went to the restaurant and the food was really appetising and savoury. I think (I'm not sure) that they are using hand-made pasta. That is why I prefer to eat in the restaurant because of the food quality. The guys who assisted me in the restaurant were very accommodating; although I don't speak Italian, they were really helpful when I was choosing the food and were quick to the next menu once I finished my food. They also let me eat early because I was about to check out and had to catch the 7:35 AM bus to Foggia. No risotto in the menu though. I have been really craving it since I came to Italy The room was big enough for one person and even had big space to move around. They also change the towels and replenish the soap and bodywash daily. The hotel is just about 2-3 mins walk to the main church (if you are a fast walker) and 5 mins (if you like dilly-dallying) and very near to the bus stop. The hotel is accessible by stairs and elevator, but as for the elevator, a coin was needed for it to function, I guess. I haven't really used it since I am able to carry my luggage up and down the stairs. The staff was very helpful in showing me the bus timings going to Foggia and to Monte San Angelo and where to buy the bus ticket. One Tip: If you are planning to go to Monte San Angelo, go there in the morning, because they will be close at around 12:30 or 13:00 - 14:30. There will be masses in the basilica in the morning, and you will still have enough time to see the site before the next bus comes. The bus going there has long gaps, especially on holidays, so better prepare unless you go by car.

The hair dryer for me was not really safe to use for a long time, as there was no handle, and you could feel the heat on your palm. I am just not sure in other rooms, if they have the same hair dryer.

Excellent location and the use of the outside lift to allow people to reach road level is excellent especially for those with walking difficulties or wheelchairs. Short walk to the Santuario from the lift. The breakfast was good and had plenty of variety and you are served bar coffee, cappuccino etc as opposed to machine coffee which was great.

Nothing. In comparison to other local hotels this room was slightly smaller for 3 people but on the whole was OK and the shower cubicle was quite small too especially if elderly people need more space.

Perfect location to Padre Pio's Shrine, (5 mins. walk), Dinner was delicious and the gentleman serving us was really good, friendly, top notch service!! Buffet breakfast had plenty to choose from plus you can ask for freshly cooked eggs and bacon. Our room was adequate for 2 persons for a night stay. Check in was quick and we also left our luggage after check out as went back to the Shrine.

The hotel is very nice and the location is excellent. The room is comfortable.

The staff were not friendly at all. They don’t coordinate with each other and they don’t give any hand over. At our departure, the receptionist in charge came out shouting for the bill which we had already paid before b’fast. It was very unpleasant infront of the other guests. Also, Please change the plastic cups you have at the restaurant. Apart they are not in line with a 4 star hotel, you are harming the environment.

If you are visiting the shrine of Padre Pio, this hotel is in very close proximity (5-7 minute walk a bit uphill) to the shrine. The hotel is modern and and has a big parking lot that makes entering/exiting easy. There’s an outdoor elevator or stairs that reduces the uphill walk to the shrine. There are also several good restaurants to eat at, all within walking distance. I upgraded to a “Continental Room” after booking the single room. It was only €80 more and well worth the upgrade. They also have a restaurant onsite for breakfast and dinner.

When I was checking out, the woman at the desk seemed a bit irritated when I had a question about the upgrade cost. I was under the impression that I was just going to pay the difference at check out, but was asked to pay the entire higher amount. I don’t think it was explained well and they said something about not getting paid by Booking.com, etc. The communication struggle was probably due to the language barrier.

The proximity to the shrine of Padre Pio where our family went to. The very pleasant host, Gino most especially who has attended to us and answered all our questions. They were also so nice that prepared us bags of breakfast for us to bring with us when we told them that we will leave before breakfast is served. It was so helpful since we were travelling all day and that kept us from feeling hungry.

Fantastic location,convenient when going to Padre Pio Shrine, very close to the bus station, only thing is for people who has difficulty with inclines, the hotel is downhill which is fine if you’re coming from the shrine but can be difficult for some who has mobility issues. The food was great, good selection of breakfast and we also ate lunch and dinner which were all good, we only had a little issue with a bit of language barrier but generally staff are friendly and had great efforts to sort it out. The room we had has balcony with a nice view, spacious and clean.

Unfortunately, the bed mattress we had was not comfortable, feels like basic mattress not like the usual mattress for a hotel

The breakfast was good the room was good. If you intend visiting the shrine of padre Pio then the location is excellent.

Didn't like the fact that you have to pay to use the lift to get to the hotel (not the one inside the hotel) and you specifically need a 50 cent coin to operate the lift which I didn't have which meant that I had to walk down to the hotel to get a coin in order to operate the lift. It would be better to have the cost of the lift incorporated into the price of the hotel to make it easier on the guests who travel with luggage.

We loved our stay at Hotel Vittoria. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. Lunch and breakfast at the restaurant were outstanding. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free on-site parking and close proximity to Padre Pio church made it the perfect place to stay.
