Great breakfast. On some days we took the breakfast to go. Pleasant atmosphere in the lobby. Fresh flowers. Very nice service. They speak french, english and german. The location is just owsome. Lots of parking space.

The hotel is getting old. The facilities need some care. And yes, this was the first 5-star hotel in Sanremo.

The Hotel is Grand, very charming and period architecture. The breakfast is typically continental and coffee is served. The dining area is very impressive- period architecture and fixtures. The hotel is a little dated in parts but see past some minor imperfections and there is a grand hotel. The location is excellent, views to the ocean are wonderful. There is a wonderful church opposite that has lovely bell rings. The hotel is about 12 minutes walk to the town which provides a stunning walk to and from town when stepping out for evening meals. The coastline views are wonderful to take in. The hotel is full of charm and character. The air conditioning was excellent- it was a very warm period and sleeping was made easy with the aircon. The hotel is a little dated but the wonderful charm and character is there if you observe. The staff are helpful and pleasant- We enjoyed our stay very much and prefer the hotel to the more central modern hotels in Sanremo- We use modern hotels for our city visits, they don’t have the charm of these grand old buildings but suit the occasions. We stayed for almost 2 weeks and as time went on we liked the hotel more each day

There are some aspects of the hotel that could be so impressive if renovated / updated but appreciate the age and period of the hotel - which is what we wanted.

Firstly it didn’t start well, we had paid extra to have a double bed and Seaview. On arrival we were given our key and went up to our room, it had twin beds, I went down to reception and politely discussed our issue with the room and the twin beds. The receptionist was very rude and told me there was NO double beds in the hotel, I showed him our paperwork and photos of rooms on their website, clearly showing double beds. He was adamant that they had no such rooms, they were fully booked and the option was to give me our money back and find another hotel. We had a heated discussion on his rudeness, I was very calm and explained we had travelled for two days to get here and I now asked to speak to the GM or owner of the Hotel. None available was the reply and clearly he wanted us to leave. At this point a colleague took over and asked me to follow him, we collected my wife from the original room and showed us another room on another floor in the Hotel, we didn’t expect what we were given, it was an incredible Suite, massive Double bed, lounge, 3 balconies with views over the swimming pool and the Sea. Thank you, Thank you. We then had an incredible stay with lovely staff, we did meet the owner, she was on site, the first person we meet we didn’t see again during our 6 night stay. Perhaps he was sent on a training course !

No iron, No kettle and Not allowed to take a cup and saucer of tea/ coffee back to your room, Health and Safety to both was the answer. For a fantastic Hotel we were a bit disappointed with the lack of facilities in our room.

The location of the property was good, right next to the promenade and a few beaches. The centre is also a comfortable walk away. Communication was easy. Parking was akso simple and convenient. Breakfast was fine and was in a very beautiful dining hall. Staff were always smiling and helpful. The swimming pool was clean and the pool bar was also fine. The balcony attached to the room was also with a pretty view of the sea. Air conditioning worked fine.

You can see the hotel is old, paints chaffing from the ceiling, old carpets, wood chipped in the doors, etc. The sound insulation is not great, and there's noise from the street. The hotel has an old aura but needs some renovations to be really considered a 4 star establishment.

A beautiful hotel, very old style which is nice, could possibly do with some renovations to keep the hotel looking fresh otherwise wouldn't chance anything about it, the restaurant is lovely, if going half board the menu changes daily. Breakfast was nice, pool opened during the end of the stay, amazing pool, but you need to pay 10 for a lounge chair and towel. Great location by city and beach. Close to everything. Staff were lovely. Balcony was amazing with views of the sea.

The rooms are not sound proof so if your a light sleeper it's not good. Bed wasn't the comfiest.

In 1956, a beautiful young, working class woman from Sunderland in England visited the Grand Hotel Londra where she met a handsome young man who worked at the hotel. They fell in love and their holiday romance began a 61 year marriage. My sister and I visited this hotel as part of our little pilgrimage to our father who died last year. We had seaview rooms which were spacious and immaculately clean, a TV and a fridge containing bottled water. A large bathroom with toiletries, plenty of towels and slippers. Amazing views from the sunny balcony. Plenty of choice for breakfast in the grand dining room. We also spent a few hours around the pool soaking up the sun (please be aware this is extra cost). Finally, lovely staff - one in particular who provided us with some written information about the history of the hotel so we could really understand how amazing this hotel and environment must have been for our mother and why she fell in love with our father and Sanremo. For us, there was no alternative to staying in the Grand Hotel Londra and we would definitely recommend it to others.

The whole concept of Hotel is old school, and keeping the charm of an Lux hotels from last century, and we totally liked it! It was super clean with super friendly stuff. Room was cleaned on a daily basis, we had plenty of towels and shampoos, body cream etc. You have also a safe box, big wardrobe, small fridge, just perfect for two of us. The whole hotel is like a museum, beautiful and great. If you're not a snob and don't mind floor which may squeek a bit, then this is perfect one. Also, there are plenty of beaches 100m away.

At the reception they said that the pool is with salt water, but in reality it's just normal water, which is not bad at all don't get me wrong, after all you are coming to the sea not the pool :) Also, one night parking was full and I needed to park outside by the beach which is was ok, but not ok at the same time. They have a park wallet which is okay, gives you additional safety feeling, but there are some "tricky" spaces below the trees, which can be nasty one to park. Also, Menu for the lunch on the pool could be a bit better, at least some burgers/pizza. P.S. almost forgot, for me one bad thing is that they don't have an iron in the room, neither to give you at the reception.

It was our third time staying at Grand Hotel De Londres. We got a spacious room, enough place for our Frenchie to feel convenient. Staff is very friendly and understanding. Amazing view, as always.

Our room was near the stairway, and somebody always turned our "do not disturb" card to "I want cleaning now", which was quite inconvenient as our dog, being too friendly, could have run out of the room by someone suddenly entering. Fortunately, the receptionist was understanding and let the housekeepers know not to enter.

Staff were all helpful without exception

I asked for a car parking space, which wasn't guaranteed, but I did say I am travelling from London and wanted my vehicle to be secure. I didn't get a space as there was a local event taking place and all spaces were taken up! The radiator in the bedroom was still running hot. I asked for it to be shut off as this was June! The engineer came and did something and told me it will cool in an hour !! Next morning the heating was still on!
