Just a few minutes off the motorway. A hotel with beautiful architecture. We had a comfortable room with a lovely view of the gardens and mountains. A very good breakfast in a relaxing courtyard. Great safe off-road parking just outside the building. The hotel is just a short walk from the piazza and a Roman amphitheater. Will be using again on our drives through the area. And dogs are welcome.

The young receptionist was excellent. We had some queries after entering our room, she dealt with them superbly. The hotel was excellent for our one night stopover as we travelled towards Italy. We found an excellent local Pizzeria for our evening meal, very tasty and a bargain price too. We would stay at the hotel again.

Location in the old town. Comfort. Style. Super friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and relaxing. Easy walking distance to three excellent restaurants and the superb Pasticcheria Pietrini.

The one fairly big detraction for us (we stayed for 13 nights) is the breakfast. Nothing wrong with it 2/3 times aside from being an identical offering every morning. And really boring bread (when Italy including the restaurants in Susa) have fabulous bread to eat. 13 breakfasts of the same type were really dull. My suggestion is the offer less sweet things and improve on the variety of savoury offerings.

I booked a superior room, which turned out to be large, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The parking in the hotel's backyard is excellent, with a gate. In the morning, the menu arrived to choose from for dinner through the notifications on the website. BOOKING So, it was convenient to choose in advance from the menu until 14:00. As many have pointed out, the isolation from noise is poor. At 07:30 in the morning, I went out to the hallway to see if the cleaners were already vacuuming, and I found out that it was probably the noise of a hair dryer from the next room! To the hotel's credit, they put earplugs in the room for a quiet sleep.

The lobby is relatively empty and does not invite sitting; I would be happy if there were access to other areas to see the previous use of the building as a monastery; for example, there is no access to the inner balcony on the 1st floor, the church only opens at 10:30 in the morning, The dinner needs improvement. The bread is not fresh, and the salad as a side dish is simply chopped iceberg lettuce and grated carrots, the kind you buy in a bag at the supermarket, dry and without any taste. At IKEA in Turin, they served a side salad of much higher quality, made from a variety of fresh leaves! On the other hand, the tiramisu dessert was excellent! What a gem! This convent-turned-boutique-hotel is a beautiful place to stay. The architecture and ambiance is stunning. And it is ideally located in the wonderful old town of Susa, with its Roman ruins and Medieval buildings. This was just a quick, one-night stay for us but we wish we could have stayed longer. Oh and Pizzeria Bella Napoli in the town square makes the BEST pizza. The concierge recommended it to us and we LOVED it! Overall, we highly recommend Convento Boutique Hotel.

A stunning building with excellent staff. The breakfast was very good - and you could eat in the cloisters if you wanted to. We didn't get to eat on the restaurant as it was fully booked - but I'm sure that it was excellent. The room was lovely and quiet - we didn't hear anything from outside - with nice old furniture, which was in keeping with the hotel. A big shout out to the young man on reception who helped out when I had a hypo (I'm a type 1 diabetic) and was losing consciousness. I was taken to hospital but made a complete recovery.

Room might benefit from air-con as it was exceptionally hot. Climate change will only get worse.

The breakfast was good. It was a bit more on the sweet end of the spectrum than we were used to in more Germanic countries. There was a large range of options most people should be happy. The staff were very friendly and professional. They took us on a tour of the church that is attached to the convent. It is well worth the visit. It's not big but the restoration has been done well. The convent has been superbly converted to a hotel and they haven't cut corners. The beds are very comfortable and the place is spotless.

I was a bit worried that the Hotel might have been a bit spartan having been a convent, but it was very comfortable. We had bed breakfast and an evening meal, excellent value and delicious. Susa is breathtakingly beautiful and the view from the Hotel courtyard to the snow covered peaks was stunning. The staff were very nice and helpful. There is a lift to upstairs rooms and secure parking around the back of the hotel. There is a bar where they serve my favourite gin, what could be nicer after a long day? Find a restored Roman arena just a two minute walk from the hotel, well worth seeing.

We booked single rooms, the beds were super comfortable, lovely linen, but I found it a bit narrow being used to a double and I think I will book a double next time. Just a personal preference.

Second visit on our return trip from Pompei. Great location for the Frejus tunnel. Hotel is quite unique, very comfortable and room was very clean. Nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. Staff were very helpful, we asked for a breakfast bag as we were leaving very early and were shown to the early breakfast room and given a locker key to collect our breakfast which could either be eaten in the breakfast room or taken away. We checked out the night before and the procedure for the secure gate was well explained. We would definitely stay again if we were staying in the area.

A perfect place to stop on our drive from the UK to further into Italy. It has very friendly staff, secure parking, and there is excellent pizza 5 minutes' walk down the hill in the town. We used to stay in France, but to get secure parking meant an expensive and overly-grand hotel: totally unnecessary for one night. Discovering Susa, not far beyond the exit of the Frejus Tunnel, and the Convento Boutique Hotel was perfect. The rooms are a good size, the beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are basic but clean, and breakfast is good.

For one night passing through, it's perfect. Some of the hotel is beautiful, but some looks a bit "Travelodge" with strip-lighting. However there may be restrictions on modernising an old building. There is no aircon but, even in really hot weather, the ceiling fan was all that was required.
