The young receptionist was excellent. We had some queries after entering our room, she dealt with them superbly. The hotel was excellent for our one night stopover as we travelled towards Italy. We found an excellent local Pizzeria for our evening meal, very tasty and a bargain price too. We would stay at the hotel again.

We liked everything, no issues.

Just a few minutes off the motorway. A hotel with beautiful architecture. We had a comfortable room with a lovely view of the gardens and mountains. A very good breakfast in a relaxing courtyard. Great safe off-road parking just outside the building. The hotel is just a short walk from the piazza and a Roman amphitheater. Will be using again on our drives through the area. And dogs are welcome.

We stayed as a group of friends to bike up the Col delle Finestre, the hotel was situated just at the start of the climb in the really lovely town of Susa. The converted convent was delightful, in a heatwave at the start of July the courtyards were cool and redolent of the history of the town and peace of the convent. There were delightful gardens above and surrounding the property - this needed a bit of exploring as it was not obvious they were there, but beautifully kept with sunloungers and chairs once found with a stream running on the border. If you would like to eat at the hotel, remember to book this in advance. Breakfast in the courtyard was simply the most beautiful start to the day. The hotel staff were endlessly kind and helpful and we had decided to take the upgrade offered via booking.com and had a suite. The sitting room and bedroom were both a good size, the aircon was situated in the sitting room - which was really well equipped with a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, with a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The furniture was elegant and comfortable and we were thrilled with our choice of hotel. On top of this, for bikers, there was a secure bike room within the courtyard parking that was itself set inside secure gates with CCTV.

Location in the old town. Comfort. Style. Super friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and relaxing. Easy walking distance to three excellent restaurants and the superb Pasticcheria Pietrini.

The one fairly big detraction for us (we stayed for 13 nights) is the breakfast. Nothing wrong with it 2/3 times aside from being an identical offering every morning. And really boring bread (when Italy including the restaurants in Susa) have fabulous bread to eat. 13 breakfasts of the same type were really dull. My suggestion is the offer less sweet things and improve on the variety of savoury offerings.

I booked a superior room, which turned out to be large, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The parking in the hotel's backyard is excellent, with a gate. In the morning, the menu arrived to choose from for dinner through the notifications on the website. BOOKING So, it was convenient to choose in advance from the menu until 14:00. As many have pointed out, the isolation from noise is poor. At 07:30 in the morning, I went out to the hallway to see if the cleaners were already vacuuming, and I found out that it was probably the noise of a hair dryer from the next room! To the hotel's credit, they put earplugs in the room for a quiet sleep.

The lobby is relatively empty and does not invite sitting; I would be happy if there were access to other areas to see the previous use of the building as a monastery; for example, there is no access to the inner balcony on the 1st floor, the church only opens at 10:30 in the morning, The dinner needs improvement. The bread is not fresh, and the salad as a side dish is simply chopped iceberg lettuce and grated carrots, the kind you buy in a bag at the supermarket, dry and without any taste. At IKEA in Turin, they served a side salad of much higher quality, made from a variety of fresh leaves! On the other hand, the tiramisu dessert was excellent! The internet is relatively weak, with 17 MB

The breakfast was good. It was a bit more on the sweet end of the spectrum than we were used to in more Germanic countries. There was a large range of options most people should be happy. The staff were very friendly and professional. They took us on a tour of the church that is attached to the convent. It is well worth the visit. It's not big but the restoration has been done well. The convent has been superbly converted to a hotel and they haven't cut corners. The beds are very comfortable and the place is spotless.

A stunning building with excellent staff. The breakfast was very good - and you could eat in the cloisters if you wanted to. We didn't get to eat on the restaurant as it was fully booked - but I'm sure that it was excellent. The room was lovely and quiet - we didn't hear anything from outside - with nice old furniture, which was in keeping with the hotel. A big shout out to the young man on reception who helped out when I had a hypo (I'm a type 1 diabetic) and was losing consciousness. I was taken to hospital but made a complete recovery.

Room might benefit from air-con as it was exceptionally hot. Climate change will only get worse.

We stayed twice on a trip to and from Greece. Both nights we booked in for dinner and breakfast as we had a long drive. Breakfast was excellent but dinner particularly on the second occasion was very poor. The starter of pasta very good as was the dessert but we had bols de viande as a main course. It was appalling and should not have been served. Basically it was various meats in a watery broth - awful. So prob next time we stay we will use the town to eat dinner. It’s a shame as it’s a very nice hotel

See above - terrible sub standard main course at dinner

We stayed here for one night en route from France to Cinque Terre and were very happy with our choice of hotel. The building itself is steeped in history and is very well looked after. The staff were all very pleasant during our stay and we found the room itself clean, well presented and offered everything we needed. The buffet breakfast was plentiful in variety and left us wanting nothing except some better gluten-free bread.

Although gluten-free bread was provided, it was pretty basic compared to other hotels we've stayed in.

What a gem! This convent-turned-boutique-hotel is a beautiful place to stay. The architecture and ambiance is stunning. And it is ideally located in the wonderful old town of Susa, with its Roman ruins and Medieval buildings. This was just a quick, one-night stay for us but we wish we could have stayed longer. Oh and Pizzeria Bella Napoli in the town square makes the BEST pizza. The concierge recommended it to us and we LOVED it! Overall, we highly recommend Convento Boutique Hotel.

Nothing. We wish we could have stayed longer <3 Our only issue was with our car rental from Booking.com, which provided terrible, unresponsive customer service.
