Our stay was in fact at the sister-property, Fattoria Montignana near Mercatale, as we were called the night before our visit to be told there was no hot water at Querceto. Our rooms - two bedrooms and two bathrooms both spotlessly clean, and a kitchen, also immaculate - were on the ground floor with a terrace, shared with the rooms next door, looking out over the vineyards. Very quiet but only a few minutes drive from the local town. The manager, Violetta, is charming and very helpful.

The kitchen is well-founded with utensils, dishwasher and large fridge, but there is only a gas hob with five rings and no oven if cooking is something you are interested in.

It is a quiet location in the middle of the Chianti region. You need a car to visit vineyards or small towns around. The exterior part of the structure is very nice in original Tuscany style. The swimming pool area is also lovely and clean.

The room needs to be refurbished. Old furniture and not-so-clean bathroom tiles. The curtains were old and did not stop the light from outside. Very uncomfortable couch. Small and old TV.

The property is charming, the pool is nice and the kitchen in the suite had everything needed.

There is no wifi in the rooms (description should be updated). It was quite hot during the week, so one fan was insufficient. There are no services for the rooms-- even water must be brought in from outside. As long as one is ok with this, then it's a good place to stay.

Fantastic location and view, lovely pool. When I eventually reached someone on the phone they were able to make a good restaurant recommendation.

Average customer service. No replies to emails sent before arrival, no contact telephone number easily found on the website and difficult to reach anyone who knew anything about the facilities or booking. No pool towels included in the price, no shower gel or shampoo provided, no mosquito nets on the windows so rooms infested with mosquitoes and impossible to sleep with windows open to let in fresh air.
