Country Hotel Castelbarco (July 2025) – located in a quiet area of Vaprio d’Adda, away from the noise of the city. For us this was a big plus, though for others it might feel too remote. The hotel offers a large free parking lot – very convenient, although we noticed some unpleasant smells around the area (possibly just temporary). Our room was comfortable, but the main drawback was the noisy air conditioning, which seemed to be malfunctioning. Apart from that, everything was excellent: good breakfast, friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. Great value for the price.

The location was very easy to find and a short drive from Linate airport. The room was clean, comfortable, and had bathrobes and slippers for extra comfort. Check-in was easy and fast and the front-desk staff "S" was friendly and welcoming. The sauna was AMAZING. I reserved a private sauna time at check-in and enjoyed an hour melting away the stress of travel. The sauna is next to a large reserve? park? next door where I saw a family of elk/deer creatures grazing. Very peaceful. Dinner was delicious and the waiters were happy to recommend their favorites from the menu. Wifi was fast (essential since I work while I travel) and I had no issues streaming video.

Friendly personnel, good and not expensive dinner at Saturday evening. Very good breakfast with very wide choice of dishes. Very nice, inclosed terrace where you can enjoy your food looking to the forrest with bamboo trees. Room was properly cleaned when we were out of the hotel. Very big underground parking. Have also possibilities to park a car behind the hotel if your car is higher than usual.

Light rotten smell in the room. Bulbs in the bathroom are blinking when worm up. Lever for toilet flush is broken and stuck in open position or fall down. Need to be very carefull operating it. Strange ceiling damages in the corridor, no visible attempts to repair it.

Location was a little far from restaurants, but not that far, just a 30 minutes walk. Underground parking available. The room was big, clean. The bathroom had everything you needed: shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer. You also had tea and electric kettle, but we did not see any coffee, just tea.

No option to buy coffee before breakfast time (7AM). We had an early flight and would have loved to have a coffee in peace, not rushed. Staff did not speak english that good, was hard to communicate except the basic stuff.

Really nice room for the price, I particularly liked the cleanliness of the bathroom and the comfort of the bed. (Huge plus the firmness of the mattress). Breakfast: keep up the good work, varied continental breakfast and nice choice of pastries

The support for the shower head was damaged/missing, could only use by holding it or the bath tub. A bigger choice of vegetables for the continental breakfast, cooked or raw, would have been greatly appreciated.

The room was spacious and comfy. The staff very helpful. They provided a covered parking lot and it also prpvided some place for kids to play. The restaurant was beyond expectations.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the town was working on the streets and without calling it was hard to find the way to the hotel. It was also difficult to walk after a certain time to rhe town.

I was looking for accommodation between Milan and Bergamo, and this place was perfect. It's a very peaceful and relaxing location. Additionally, the breakfast was excellent. Overall, it was definitely worth choosing this option.

Two points, which personally didn't bother me, but could be important for someone else, would be that the road to the hotel is a bit challenging, and if you don't have a vehicle, I don't think there's an easier way to get there besides walking from the bus stop which is a little bit far.

Beds are great, overall hotel is charming and there is a small playground area for kids. Staff is nice and trying their best Very close to Leolandia parc 😀

I didn't succeed to turn off or adjust temperature the air-conditioning in the room (ours was slightly noisy). Otherwise, don't miss the breakfast and don't be last one to show up otherwise it may be missing some of the great stuff to be tasting 😉

The hotel is in a lovely old building. Our bedroom, and bathroom were comfortable and clean. We stayed in the hotel for dinner which was very good and so was the breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Couldn't find anything to dislike but only stayed for 1 night which was very good.

Really lovely property, beautifully maintained. Large spacious room, minibar, kettle and coffee. Great lawns for our dogs to stretch their legs. Staff very friendly Excellent breakfast Secure underground parking A 10 minute drive from the motorway.

The food at the restaurant wasn't great unfortunately. I ordered roast Beef with peppers and got a few slices of roast beef served on a tiny portion of onions. This was sorted after I asked where the peppers were but it was a very meagre portion for the price.
