Loved the fact they don't entertain outside guests. It is very private, secure and the receptionists very sweet and helpful showing genuine care. Staff MC at the reception desk excelled my expectations with her innate attention to detail in supporting me with any issues. Only issue was slight noise from breakfast area early in the morning as I was based on 2nd floor and when I booked I insisted on a room far away from the elevator. The located my room next to the elevator, so was disappointed that they didn't listen to my request or at least tell me it wasn't available.

Also paid for breakfast in booking and when I arrived at 10am (exact time they were clearing up) they weren't amenable to allow me anything to eat apart from a pot of tea. They could have given a yoghurt or fruit, but strict regarding punctual clear up not a minute past 10am.

This was this was one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in. Housekeeping staff were amazing and nothing was too difficult for them to provide us with. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day and every time we came in we were always greeted with the lovely smile and wishing us a good morning or good night. We arrived very late our first night and our check-in was super fast and we were given a few bottles of ice cold Spring Water to go. The hotel is just across the road from the beach and you could probably roll out of bed down to the first floor have your breakfast and roll over the road to get to the beach. For those of you who like a good breakfast ... All I can say is it's certainly is It is good value for money with a wide range of items to choose from. Their dining room staff remembered our coffee order from the first day and whatever it is that we'd ask them for they were always willing to provide us with it. There was free parking on the street if you were fortunate to get a space however they do have underground parking for 10 euros a night when you stay in the hotel - it is safe, well lit and just across the road from the hotel. This hotel would be in my top 10 and it is well worth going again and again.

We had to make an unexpected overnight stay in Ventimiglia as there was a railway strike. Most of the hotels near the station were fully booked. We stumbled upon Sole Mare and immediately booked as the price and inclusion of breakfast made it a great deal for our family of four. The location and views were amazing, the beach and restaurants were across the road from the hotel - which provided something for us to do for the afternoon. The staff were the friendliest people we had met in Italy, and the breakfast and service were a real treat. The hotels decor is also so beautiful.

I have nothing to complain about, except maybe that our aircon wasn't really cooling the room down, but it wasn't enough for us to complain about.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location, making it very convenient to explore the area. However, what impressed us the most was the exceptional service, the warm and professional staff, and the high level of cleanliness throughout the property. Everything felt well taken care of, and we truly appreciated the attention to detail. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming experience.

Probably best location in the town next to new harbor, with very nice view from the room (we were on 4th floor). Hotel can offer discounted parking (10€ a day) in harbor area. Next to old town - lift next to hotel takes you there. Close to the beach. Some good restaurants nearby.

Old air conditioner can hardly cool down the room running at max non-stop, has no display. The corridors are not conditioned at all. Breakfast area is not too bad, but choice is okish, always the same and it was not best of Italy. Beyond hotel. Town looks deprived and not well maintained, alcohol shops at every conner, a lot of immigrants hanging around doing nothing. Did not like that, not best part of Italy. Public beaches are not maintained - okish next hotel, but not in the town - a lot of rubish

Savannah the receptionist was wonderful and her welcome to the Sole Mare could not have been warmer. Our room was exactly like the description and photos, it was spotless and it had a comfy bed with great views. Breakfast was lovely with great choices to suit everyone and a plus great coffee was served with a wonderful greeting ....

The area in the days looks amazing facing a small harbour filled with beautiful boats ....but at night we were woken by shouting and horns of racing cars which is not the fault of the hotel. We understand we booked right in the harbour and it is very touristy but the screeching of the racing cars for a small harbour road was concerning considering we were parked along the road ... But for a younger traveler this might not be a problem...

Excellent, quality hotel. Very nice rooms, location and, for Italy, a very good breakfast. Very beautiful old town 5 minutes walk from the hotel, I recommend everyone to visit it - it is an old authentic Italian town.

The only thing that made me feel uncomfortable was the restaurant being on the first floor and the smells coming from it. But this, of course, is not critical. Everything else is top notch.

Beautiful view over the new marina. Recently renovated & beautifully decorated room. Able to sit on balcony & enjoy the view. Delicious breakfast in pleasant dining room with a view. Helpful day time staff. Easy walk through tunnel to main part of town & train station (20 mins). A number of restaurants along waterfront close to accommodation.

Lovely 3-star hotel overlooking the new harbour at Ventimiglia. 10 minute walk from the station and 1 minute walk to the beach, with various restaurants close by, as well as an elevator to the stunning Old Town. The hotels own restaurant was excellent, and seemed to be regularly busy with non-residents as well. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Comfortable room, with good bathroom, and nice balcony with sea and harbour view.

Unfortunately, there is major construction work taking place to the left of the hotel as you look to sea. Our original room was on that side but they had no problem finding us one on the other side. This may be a problem if you were there for a length of time, but it didn't spoil our two days in any way. Obviously this is not the fault, or criticism, of the hotel in any way but may need to be taken into account. Also, a couple of previous reviews refer to 'private beach', which really isn't the case. Whilst it is right in front of the hotel, there is no 'deal' for sunbeds and umbrellas, and you will have to pay the normal (and typical) rate from the helpful guy who runs the beach.

Very nice location overlooking the new marina, on the sea-front, in a very quiet location Rooms and hotel have been renovated since my last visit pre-covid - it was always well finished, but now it's really great Nice buffet breakfast with good choice. Easy access to old town via an elevator near by. 10 minutes walk to the station Very friendly and attentive staff. Good value for money
