I had booked the Superior Sea-View room and it was just an fantastic experience! It had a great view from the balcony of the beautiful Amalfi coast--I enjoyed sunsets every evening. The breakfast was amazing, especially the fresh almond cake was delicious. Since the hotel is 20 minutes away from key touristic places of the Amalfi coast, (the train station being a few minutes away, I even did a day trip to Rome thanks to this location). I booked the Vespa and just toured around exploring Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano -- all at a great price! I could even enjoy their superb pool in May. I would recommend booking Hotel Mary if you want to explore the Amalfi coast. Vioc Equense is an charming town, and I loved every day of my stay here.

Hotel Mary was perfect for our family stay in the Amalfi Coast. The location is a nice distance away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but easy to reach with a car (we have been told by many people to avoid taking the buses - especially with kids - into Sorrento/Positano/Amalfi and we strongly suggest the same) - yes the road is winding and busy but it's not that bad if you avoid the peak hours. We managed to visit Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi/Ravello in 3 different outings so if staying here really do consider hiring a car. The views from the hotel are spectacular! The restaurant offers a good variety at breakfast and a tasty a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The pool was great although very slippery with the Italian tiles (not a great option IMO - be careful with kids around the pool). The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean, modern and spacious especially for this area! I'd really encourage visiting Vico Equense (10 minute walk), it's a wonderful little town and very authentic. Overall, a great hotel and highly recommend for those travelling with kids.

Nothing major! The tiles around the pool are really slippery so that was a bit of a concern with a 2 year old but otherwise no major concerns.

The breakfast was wonderful. There were restaurants and stores a short walk further into town, and it was a nice walk with a stop for a scenic view. The staff were courteous and helpful. We had a car and the valet service was fast/efficient. The view from the room was amazing from our balcony. We had a larger room and glad we did, the extra space was helpful. We stayed a total of five nights.

Since there are neighboring homes and at least one with a few dog kennels below our room, barking dogs were often and annoying. We realize the hotel cannot control this, but it would have been more peaceful without all of the constant barking. Even with this, we would stay again and maybe ask for a different location to lessen the noise.

Breakfast / View / Pool / Sea Club

Quite Expensive. Was disappointed that on the day of check out we were charged 80 euro's to use the pool, this was after spending 2895 euros for a weeks accommodation and our bar bill. To leave customers feeling happy with their choice to use your hotel complimentary access to the pool would have been more appropriate.

the room was perfect for a family with 2 teenagers. great view, nice terrace on the pool; water was a little cold, but I expected that in March :) breakfast was great, dinner served at restaurant too. nice hotel bar ... and other places to eat within walking distance. train station conveniently placed for trips to Sorrento, Pompeii or Napoli (local line Circumvesuviana). last but not least, personell very kind and helpful. ... and price (in March) was reasonable.

Everything was wonderful: clean, neat! Beautiful view. We had a room with direct access to the pool. At first, our reaction was shock and a bit of fear, but it turned out to be fantastic. We could practically fall right into the pool from our room! For families with children, this setup is absolutely ideal. Some things struck us as unusual, mostly rules we hadn’t encountered in other hotels, so we weren’t prepared for them — and the staff seemed surprised by our confusion ) For example: • You basically have to say goodbye to your car keys, only hotel staff are allowed to park your vehicle in the hotel’s parking area, and after that, the keys are kept at the reception. • The beach shuttle must be booked in advance. On one occasion, we didn’t fit into the regular shuttle schedule and had to wait for an hour or pay extra for an unscheduled taxi (which turned out to be fine, €12 for four people). • You have to take towels from the hotel to the beach with you and bring already wet towels back. • The café-bar operates at specific hours, and meals can only be ordered during set time windows. These small rules aren’t a big deal, but when you’re on vacation, you don’t really want to spend time keeping track of logistics or memorizing policies.

Everything about the hotel is excellent. The location is very good - a short walk from the centre of Vico - a character-full and bustling small town. Access to Sorrento and also back towards Pompeii and Naples are easy using the local train, which is very cheap, regular and reliable (but be prepared to stand!). The hotel is exactly as it looks in the photos. It is spotlessly clean and our room, with a killer sea-view, was incredible. All the staff we encountered were friendly, kind and helpful. Nothing was too much to ask. Special mentions to Giusy and Francesco on reception, restaurant manager Vincenzo, who greeted us with a smile and a cappuccino every morning at breakfast, and also to Aniello who made an ‘emergency’ dash with us to the local medical centre on our first night after a nasty-looking head-cut following an entanglement with the bumpy pavement on the way back from the restaurant! This was a special holiday to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday and nothing could have been better. We hope to return to Vico in the future and if we do it will definitely be to Hotel Mary!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mary. It served as the perfect base for our day trips. The breakfast was excellent, and we also enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the hotel. A special thanks to Vincenzo, who greeted us with a warm smile during dinner and every morning. We also appreciated the help from the front desk team, especially Alessia, who assisted us in booking tickets for a boat trip to Capri. On Tuesdays, there’s a boat service to Capri departing from the nearby dock, which is very convenient, as you don’t have to travel all the way to Sorrento or Naples. As for improvements, the shampoo and toiletries could be of better quality. However, the hotel offers a valet parking service, which was very convenient. Overall, we had a delightful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, pool bar and pool are great and only a 10 min walk to the town and train station. Breakfast has plenty to choose from and the food at the hotel is also great. Towels provided for the pool and also shower gel soap and shower caps provided. hairdryer in the room is good for short hair and plenty of plug/usb sockets. would stay here again the staff cannot do enough for you

Room air con doesn’t go lower than 16 and the road is busy if you have the window open so take ear plugs. Alcoholic drinks are between €7- €12 at the hotel which was a little expensive.

The hotel staff were exceptional - they made mine and my mums stay very enjoyable. Each member of staff was approachable, friendly and more than happy to help. The room was very clean and modern and the pool facilities with the bar provided a relaxing and scenic break within our stay. The location was very ideal for walking into the local town, and just a short walk from the train station which you could travel to Pompeii and Sorrento from with ease. The restaurant staff made our stay. The head of house in particular could not do enough to make sure each evening meal was anything other than perfect! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel!
