First of all, Vieste is a beautiful coastal and beach city, with a nice old town to walk around in. The people are friendly and there are plenty of things to do. This hotel is in a great location with easy access to the old town and major attractions you may want to visit while in Vieste. Also, the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. They are a family with three generations all working in the hotel as staff. The breakfast that is included with the room is great, featuring freshly baked cornetti, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, assorted pastries and coffee. For me, this was not an issue, but for other's awareness, the parking location is a bit far away, less than 5 minutes by car. The owners of the hotel drove me to the parking area, and showed me how to pay for the parking, then also drove me back to the hotel. Also, on my last day, the son of the owner drove me back to retrieve my car. For me, it was not a problem at all, so I want to be clear that this is not a negative on the hotel management. But, please be aware that this is what you will do if you are arriving by car.

The property was in a great position and caught the sea breeze, temperatures were in high 30’s.

There were steep steps but this is a feature of most properties in Italy. The age of the buildings doesn’t allow for lifts. We take a small bag to minimize carrying heavy suitcases. We were shown through some new rooms being completed which were right on the waterfront with a wonderful terrace. Ground floor accommodation and suitable for people with difficulties in getting around. These rooms will be snapped up.

We loved our comfortable, spacious room with a sea view. The Rocca Sul Mare is full of character and there is a lovely terrace where delicious breakfasts are served. The host and all the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Be aware that the wifi is not available in some of the rooms, the mobile phone signal is variable and also that you pay for parking which is about ten minutes walk away. This did not bother us as it is a lovely walk along the promenade, with sea views and I knew this beforehand.

Great location with stunning views over the sea and the lighthouse. Lovely terraces, ideal for romantic evenings with a bottle of wine. Hotel is spacious. Breakfasts include bruschettas, eggs (from owner’s farm), croissants, yogurt, cake and coffee. The owner is a nice lady, very helpful. You can buy from her different types of olive oil. You can pay with credit card. Wifi broadband is good, though sometimes you need to move 2m left or right not to lose it.

In winter rooms were cold. The only heating was from AC which is ok but during night it can be loud.

Beautiful historical building in the center of Vieste with a super nice sea view and areas to relax. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast the best we had in the all of the Puglia region. Very clean room.

The hotel needs some repairs. The room door had no hand nob which made it super difficult to close. The shower curtain was falling apart. Everything else was simply great.

The location is exceptional , the management is great. Unbelievable building and very friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Seeing how exceptional the location is, I think they could maintain it better. The facilities are not really up to the standards of this location. Showers are old, doors need replacement They could upscale decorations facilities and make it really amazing . Example: we had a cute terrace, but the chairs and table were plasticky and kind of run down. Because right now value for price is not really in balance. Also, I think they could use more staff. At breakfast there is only one staff member and it's overwhelming for her. Refurbishment, more staff, better use of the amazing location and this can become a 5 stars.

The family ride hotel is in 500 year old building. You can feel a real atmosphere of centro storico. You can drive to hotel to take out luggages. Everything is in walking distance(cathedral, pizzomuno beach,marina piccola beach,porto for motobarca tours ,scale of love), you can leave your car in carpark 10 minutes from the hotel. Wonderful top roof terrace. The stairs in hotel are steep as in old buildig.

The location is incredible and definitely worth it the money. They have an immerse roof on the third floor where you can see the sunset. The whole building would benefit from some renovation but still has all essential including AC, mini fridge and safer. I would def recommend

It’s a 1000 year old building in the quaintest ancient town by the sea. Fantastic staff, helpful and friendly.

I loved it all. The steep steps are part of the history and while challenging they were good exercise.

Right in the heart of Vieste, 2 minutes walking from the beach. It is a beautiful old house with a spacious and very clean room. Very friendly staff, very helpful and speaking English. Great value for money. Definitely strongly recommend.
