We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vieste, in large part because of Dimora Cumma Mari’s perfect location in the city’s historic district and the most friendly and helpful assistance we received from Francesco, the hotel’s manager. Although the hotel is very old with lots of stairs to climb, the rooms are modernized, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was served at the restaurant next door, with outside seating that provided expansive views of the downtown harbor and Adriatic coast. But it was Francesco’s friendliness and attention to our needs that give this hotel a five-star rating

No complaints. All was good.

What can we say about this lovely property? It was one of the highlights of our trip. Fantastic location, incredible host Francesco went out of his way to make us feel welcome and had excellent suggestions for what to see and do. The property is older but very nicely renovated. The bed was the best we have experienced, and we are picky. The view from the property was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. Four nights here gave us time to experience Vieste at a nice pace as well as go to the Gargano to hike. Can’t wait to come back here!

The fact that we had to leave!!

Everything, so many small touches that added to the experience and gave us a relaxed homely feeling Stefano our host was so generous with his time and provided lots of invaluable advice. The complex had been renovated and had a striking staircase up to the first level where accomodation was situated. The living bedroom was amazing, very spacious and comfortable with a fabulous view overlooking the town and the water. It also had a full size kitchen with oil salt and a gift of pasta. The location was perfect right at the steps of the old town with a short distance to many restaurants. Parking which is rare so close to the town centre was great. We were met at the premises and assisted with locating parking and carrying luggage up to our accomodation. They could not do enough.

Nothing loved the property and would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at this spectacular hotel! The hotel is extremely charming and beautiful. The hosts, Valentina and Stefano, were extra nice, helpful and paid attention to every single detail! The breakfast was delicious and different each morning, served in a beautiful courtyard. There is a spectacular rooftop terrace with a great view of the ocean and comfortable couches/chairs. They offer wine in each room that you can purchase. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is excellent, right at the entrance to the old city and very near to the more modern part of town. The hosts helped us arrange a boat trip along the coast of Vieste, which was the highlight of our trip. There are not enough wonderful things I could say about this hotel and it's hosts. We didn't want to leave. There was another guest who felt the same and extended her stay 3 additional days!

Absolutely nothing!

Literally everything. The communication leading up to our 3 night stay was excellent. Stefano provided every detail including pictures to guide our drive to the front door to drop off our cases. He then jumped in the car with me snd took me to the reserved parking which is essential in Vieste. Following this he showed us around the building giving all the details required so we settled in immediately. Our room La Marine was lovely with two balconies and great views. With the balconies over hanging a busy more pedestrian street into the old town it was the perfect spot. Stefano organised the most amazing Boat trip to the Caves which is a must. Everything was 1st class.

We loved everything

Great location right on the edge of old town. Drop off luggage at front door. Free parking at top of stairs. Owners help with luggage. Adequately quiet after hours despite being close to restaurants and main tourist areas,. Spacious room with modern bathroom and kitchen. Bed was comfortable with mattress protector and mattress topper. Very clean, light filled rooms with tasteful modern decor. Good selection for breakfast, fresh orange juice available and good quality cappuccino.

I would have liked more savoury ( and more protein) selection for breakfast, eg scrambled eggs, poached eggs, even though the cakes, croissants etc were delicious.

Vieste is magical as is Dimora Cumma Mari! Stefano and Valentina are the best hosts and made me feel so welcome and looked after me so well my entire stay. From the messages before I arrived to helping navigate small streets, driving and parking my car and helping lift my heavy luggage into my room they went above and beyond! I stayed 2 nights and wished I'd booked double the length of time. Also they offered excellent advice on restaurants, activities and catered exceptionally well for my gluten free requirements for breakfast. I highly recommend you stay here if you are visiting Vieste, I didn't want to leave this place and now that I am in Polignano a Mare, would rate Vieste over that anyday.

Truly an exceptional experience! My room was clean and comfortable, with all of the amenities you would need and most impressively two balconies and one with the best view in town of the Vieste lighthouse. Stefano is a great host. He is super helpful and made sure that I had the best experience in Gargano. The complimentary breakfast is also great with all homemade and local items. Lastly, the location can’t be beaten, with all major attractions being within a 5-10 min walk. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

The manager, Francesco, was excellent. He was very helpful and knowledgeable as well as being a very nice person. Perfect location. The room was large with a great view out to the lighthouse and sea. It was spotlessly clean. Best shower ever👍Highly recommend staying here

Nothing about the accommodation or manager. Breakfast. Not many healthy choices and some foods were stale.

We stayed there for four days. Rooms, breakfast, cleanliness, service, care and location in front of the old town are excellent. Valentina and Stefano are extremely friendly hosts.

Everything was fine, but one tip: It is a privilege to have a private parking space in a B&B in the center of Vieste. However, if your car is larger, you will need good nerves and centimeter-precise driving. So it's better to rent a smaller car!
