Cala Caterina Rooms is a great location because it's close to the many beaches and Centro Villasimius. It is also home to an on property restaurant and it's delicious and reasonably priced menu, my favorite, mussels marinara on a bed of linguine. The breakfast is a delightful array of pastry, fruit, cereal, meat and cheese with different juices and capacino to enjoy while taking in magnificent sea views. I can't leave out the most important attribute of this property, Angelica Cherchi. Angelica is an amazing host that is so dedicated to making sure your stay with her is as stress free, relaxing and comfortable as can be. The staff is warm and friendly as well. Parking is just steps away from your room which is immaculate, modern and comfortable with good air conditioning.

This property is absolutely wonderful. The location is amazing. Close to the beautiful beaches and Villasimius center. Angelica went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and valued. Our room was great. The breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner at the restaurant on the property both of the nights that we stayed. We went the first night and loved it so much that we went back the next night. It was delicious!!! Angelica greeted us nightly and checked in about how everything was. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!!

Loved everything.

There were two beaches one was 400 m away. The other one was 200 m away. The water was about 72F. Perfect for swimming. The restaurant made good wonderful fish. Lots of different varieties. Somethings were written in season. I really wanted the crab and scallop ravioli but scallops are not in season right now. Angelica was a thoughtful and kind hostess. She and her family have built this property up for nearly 50 years.

I liked everything about this property

The location is exceptional, at walking distance from amazing beaches (we were even provided with a beach umbrella to use) and a short driving distance to restaurants. There is also a yacht marina (2 minutes drive) where you can chill in the evening, sipping Hugo Spritz. The rooms are nestled in a really quiet neighborhood, surrounded by gardens. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was just right. They also have a restaurant that seems quite popular, although we didn’t dine there. We also used the small porch outside, either to dry our bathing costumes or enjoy a coffee at sunset. The room has a comfortable bed and all the required amenities including an AC, a coffee machine, a refrigerator and a hairdryer.

We stayed 3 nights at Cala Caterina Rooms in July 2024. We had a King room with ocean view. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed including a mini fridge. Good air conditioning. Breakfast was very good (not buffet) personal service with a variety of food, juices and coffee. We also had dinner at the restaurant one of the nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcomed. We borrowed a sun umbrella for free. Short walking distance to local beaches, Spiaggia Cala Caterina and di Santo Stefano. We also hiked to Spiaggia di Porto Giunco, well worth the sweat. Would highly recommend having a car, free parking at the property (space for all guests). Taxi/uber seemed difficult to get.

The terrace with ocean view was not as nice due to little ants. We tried having wine and cheese on the terrace but the ants was all over. This was not a big issue for us, as they did not come into the room. Mountain view is also a good option as the ocean is far away.

We booked last minute and we didn't know what time we were going to arrive. Angelica called to confirm what time we were arriving.. We arrived earlier and her brother kindly let us in and made us feel comfortable. We hadn't paid as yet as we arranged to pay on arrival. Angelica messaged and said go to the beach and you can pay later which we did. Angelica was very hospitable. She said make sure you drink the beer and coca cola from the fridge. Breakfast was very generous. The food was on the individual table and once we sat down the yoghurts, cold meat, cheese and juices came out. She gave us a large bottle of acqua and we had two coffees. She is a very nice person. She said we could have a late check out if we needed it. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very large. There was a large shower and mini bar. Definitely stay again. The beach was very close only a 4 minute walk. It was beautiful.

Everything was good.

The whole experience was great. The Cala Caterina rooms are just a few minutes from the beach. The even borrowed us a umbrella and chairs for the beach. The rooms were clean and comftable. Breakfast was awesome. A mix of continental and Italian breakfast with many choices. The greatest part was definetly the owner Angelica, she was so frendly and helpful with the information what to see around Villasimius. Highly recomended.

Cala Caterina Rooms definitely exceeded our expectations, primarily due to the wonderful hosts. Angelica and the other people in the staff were really friendly, kind, helpful, energetic, being there for everything we needed... They made our stay seamless and great! Besides the hosts, the location is quite amazing, close to the two gorgeous beaches (Cala Caterina and Santo Stefano, the later being our favorite), so it is a great place to chill and enjoy. Besides the beaches are not that crowded. The breakfast is very tasteful, delicious, with a variety of options, coffee, sweets, ... And the amenities at the property are great (shower, bed, bathroom, WiFi, parking, small fridge, TV with Netflix, even the parasols for the beach :), ...). Everything was top notch and amazing. The accommodation is quietly located, easy to find, and two beaches are within a 5-minute walking distance. Supermarkets in Villasimius can be reached by car in 10 minutes. The accommodation has a large bathroom and also offers air conditioning. A beach umbrella is provided. The included hearty breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The hostess is very warm and helpful. We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay! Thank you very much!

The location of Cala Caterina Rooms is excellent with so many nice views and a very calm surrounding. In less than 5 minutes you can reach the beach of Santo Stefano - a beautiful place. If you want to see other beaches, you can reach them with a short car drive. The rooms are almost newly equipped. The best experience was with the host Angelica who was giving us very good information and recommendations before and during our stay. We liked the breakfast that was very good.
