First of all, the staff in the reception and the drivers were all very very polite, welcoming and helpful. We did not have the chance to enjoyed the breakfast sadly, but they were really kind to prepared a simple breakfast box to take with us to the airport on our way back. In this hotel I found one of the comfiest bed I ever slept. I wish I had stayed longer. It was really easy to arrange the shuttle and everything turned out perfectly and they also helped us to call a taxi to the city center which was really useful since the location is quite particular but great for people who needs to take an early morning flight and want to be close to the airport.

Staff was very professional and met my needs and expectations from the moment of booking. They replied promptly to my requests related to free airport transfer. As soon as I arrived with very late evening flight, I placed a call and we arranged transfer which arrived to pick me up in 10 minutes! Excellent!

I got a bit disappointed when my request for late check-out free of charge was refused. I arrived at approximately 23.30h and had transfer arranged for the day after only at 14.00h. I would have appreciated even only one hour more to stay in the room. I had to wait 3h at the hotel space with no opportunity to go anywhere else due to hotel position which was isolated.

All staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived around noon and got to check in right away, we also had no problems with free airport transfer in the middle of night. Bar service was excellent, food in the restaurant was good, pool was still open in late September, although you could feel that it was the end of season.

Although listed as a 4-star hotel, the hotel room felt old and dated, for example weird metal constructions in the bathroom. Service however was deffinetely worth 4 stars :) or even more. Wiews from some of the rooms are... sad, straight view to several garbage bins just outside the hotel. Ask for the room facing the pool, might be nicer :)

Perfect landing spot after a long flight before continuing the journey. Shuttle was very fast and Dimitris, the driver, was very kind to the entire family! Basement room, unlike it's dodgy name, has a big window, facing a quiet side street. Our 4 year old stayed for free, no separate bed was provided. Bed was big enough though. Pool and overall service were very helpful every step of the way- thank you!

No gluten free options at breakfast beyond milk products, veg and fruit.

The hotel is in a perfect position for the airport. They run a shuttle service which is great. Hotel is very comfortable, nice sofas in bar area. Bar prices are reasonable. Restaurant has varied menu which is good value. Can highly recommend the sea bream. Breakfast is excellent so much choice.. You can sit inside or outside to eat. Rooms are comfortable and clean with all amenities. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We took a taxi into Thessaloniki which was around €20. .

A good base to explore but you need a car

Avalon airport hotel was a very welcome place to stay. Comfortable, quiet and very professional. The bed was large and very good to sleep in. The bathroom was very modern and very clean. Also, free airport transfers just need to book the day of arrival. Breakfast was massive, cooked, bacon, egg, scrambled as well, mushrooms and baked beans and potato gems. Cereal, pastries sweet and savoury, ham, cheese and fruit.tea, coffees various and juice. I’d recommend staying here. Thankyou s

The only thing I can suggest is a non slip mat for the bath.

Breakfast was excellent...plenty of choice...Coffee is pretty awful but every other aspect very good. Staff are attentive and top up supplies regularly. Beds are comfy and luxurious. Staff friendly. Very happy with my stay and hope to repeat in September. The hotels position in the middle of an industrial area is not obvious once inside the hotel.

I found communication regarding the airport shuttle a bit difficult...on arrival. Probably caused by my limited Greek and Avalon’s receptionists limited English. Always more difficult when a mobile phone is involved.

The shuttle service was top notch! On time and driver very professional. The staff at the desk were as well very friendly, helpful and professional. The restaurant food was very delicious and fresh. As well as the restaurant staff very professional. Thank you for the top notch service.

The outdoor portion of the restaurant had many mosquitos. This I know is very hard to control of course and they did have mosquito repellent, but if I were advised of this I would have sat inside. Regardless of this, the food was fantastic and the service.

Close to airport and with free transfer. Good breakfast, very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, well sound insulated. Good restaurant on-site. Taxi - when needed - arrives in 5 minutes after calling with FreeNow taxi app.

Heating with reverse AirCon is noisy. To move around from the hotel, own car or taxi is mandatory (next public transport is 18 minutes walk), a return ride to the city easily takes 40 EUR. This is not a "did not like", guests just should be aware of this; car rental at the airport is an option to consider if you need to move around during your stay.

Food was available over most of the day which is great. Some items were not ok like bread wa stale. But i did have best Greek salad in Greece there. Also pool empty but weather was warm. Lastly i was surprised that toilet paper could not go in toilet As an improvement i think they should have a guest washing machine and dryer. Maybe could operated. They have a vape vending machine.
