Clean rooms. Polite staff. Comfortable main bed, but not comfortable sofa bed. Breakfast from 4:00. Walking distance to the airport, but the journey to the terminal is quite extreme.

Taxi at 4.20 am from the hotel to the airport in the Uber app showed 34 euros, this is despite the fact that the journey is less than two kilometers, that is, in time about 5 minutes. So I decided to walk. The airport is nearby, but you can only walk to it from the hotel along this road that I drew. There is no crossing near the road ring and you must be very careful and cautious to cross this section of the road. Along the rest of the road there are sidewalks and the journey is absolutely safe. But once you have walked this path once, it will no longer seem so difficult to you in the future. From the hotel, to the airport terminal, it takes 22 minutes to walk. There are no supermarkets near the hotel, it is an industrial area. But there is a bus stop within five minutes' walk.

This hotel should NOT qualify as an airport hotel. There is no free hotel shuttle transfer nor is it walkable (highway) from the airport. It is 20 euros by taxi for 1.5km from terminal to the hotel.

Hotel ideally located for car rental pick up/drop off, but although close to airport it’s not possible to walk there. Check-in and check-out was quick, and staff were very helpful. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was busy but plenty of choice in the buffet. Plenty of free outside parking in the hotel car park.

Still can’t believe the hotel is so close to the airport but because of the dual carriageway roads it is impossible to walk there. We were ok because we dropped our hire car off at the car rental place which was 2 minutes away and then used the car hire shuttle to get to the airport. Also the access road to the hotel is terrible - looks more like a pathway than a road and was in a dreadful condition - we found it hard to believe this road led to the hotel, even though I’d researched it beforehand.

Getting to the airport was awkward. I walked at 5:30am to catch my flight. I was told I had to cross the motorway. However, I found that I didn't have to. I walked along the side of the motorway, went under a flyover (which was misleading because it looked like I couldn't go any further, it was a dead end) but this led me to a makeshift carpark, went through this, past a garage, and lo and behold there was a walkway over the motorway that I hadn't been told about. You could easily pass it by and miss it. Still awkward to get to but a lot easier (and safer) than crossing the motorway.

Good hotel, nothing to complain. Had an early morning flight, so we stayed there. BTW there's a super big bulk grocery shop next door called MACRO that is an interesting thing to walk through and maybe buy something at a very good price.

For the avoidance of doubt - you can not walk to this hotel from airport. Yet you can take a bus (~5eur/person) to the hotel, but you would probably need uber/bolt/taxi from hotel back to airport.

Breakfast was better than expected and staff was very nice. Morning view when it's sunny is really great. Quiet room that allow good sleep.

There is not shuttle and it's not practical at all to walk from the airport. For the price, they should either have shuttles or create a walkway from the airport...

Our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Málaga Airport was mostly pleasant. The room was clean and adequately sized, with a particularly spacious bathroom. The front desk staff were courteous and attentive, and we appreciated the early snack option available from 4 in the morning, perfect for travelers with early flights. Breakfast, starting from 7, was also convenient for an airport hotel. However, the hotel's location, while technically close to the airport, lacked pedestrian access, forcing us to take a bus route that significantly extended the journey time. The airport buses ran infrequently, every 30-40 minutes, and the 4 euro fare for a short 5-minute ride felt disproportionate. Overall, our stay was comfortable, but the transportation inconvenience was a notable drawback.

While the hotel itself was comfortable and the staff were accommodating, the inconvenience of accessing the airport on foot due to lack of pedestrian access was a significant drawback.

The hotel is very close to the airport if you are going by car (3-4 min drive) but if you walk you'll have to consider 25-30 min due to the pedestrian road map. We had rented cars and it worked very well for us, there is free parking in front, so all very good from this point of view. The room was ok, good for a short stay. The breakfast starts at 4am, which is pretty rare (we didn't have it as we left earlier than that). Pretty clean, although the hotel is not new and no significant refurbishment was brought. Another plus is the gas station which is 50m away, good for the cases when you rent cars and have to return it full at the airport. The staff was very ok and helpful.

The hotel is not so easy to find, there are industrial/commercial constructions in the area. The hotel is not new at all, some refurbishment is needed for sure. The beer at the bar is very expensive. And also the price for the room is not cheap at all for the sevices provided.

We liked the room and the breakfast was nice either. The location is fine, we walked from the airport which took us about 25 minutes and was like a little adventure. The stuff was great and very friendly.

Well, it’s not exactly about the property, but more about the fact that 5 minutes drive from the hotel to the airport costs around 20€ while a longer ride from the hotel to the city center would cost around 15€ for 20 minutes. That’s of course not hotel’s fault, just a general comment to warn people.

We were very positively surprised by our stay in IHG Malaga Airport. First of all very nice gesture from the front desk personnel, who allowed us to check in much earlier than offical check-in starts. The size of the room was a positive surprise as well. Room was very clean and had all necessary amenities. Apart from standard room furnitures, there was also a small couch which was really a great addition and allowed to rest very comortably after a long day of sightseeing. Personnel of the hotel was very nice and helpful. Free of charge parking was also a nice touch. We were also really surprised how quiet there was in the room, it was hard to believe that it is a hotel located close to a big international airport.

The only very small issue are breakfasts. It was ok, everything was fresh and staff made sure that every station is full and nothing is missing, but I wished that there is a little bit more products to choose from. Of course we knew that it is contintental breakfast which is included and provided by the hotel, so were prepared that it will be a little bit poorer that in other places we have been in the past.
