After a long flight and a long train journey there is nothing better than a good, relaxing hotel which is just what we found ANA Crowne Plaza to be. The hotel is only 3 or 4 minutes walk from Akita station. Take the west exit and follow the covered walkway straight ahead and down an escalator. High up on the wall of a department store you will see a sign directing you to the main entrance of the hotel. Go up a short slope walk along the side of the store, turn the corner and you are there. Check in was very welcoming and we were able to get the key to our room with no problem. The room itself on a high floor of the hotel was spacious, clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well, but as far as I could see the TV only had Japanese channels. We had booked a club level room which gave us access to the lounge which until 1930 served generous canapés wine, beer spirits and a large selection of sake as well as soft drinks. We enjoyed both the food and drink which were top quality and retired to our room early for a much needed sleep. The bed was large and comfortable. The next morning we had a good breakfast again in the lounge and then checked out ready for the next part of our trip. An excellent stay and I would certainly recommend a Club Level room if funds allow.

Breakfast was wonderful with great Japanese items and also made to order omelettes. Property is very well located and just two blocks from the station. If raining you can stay covered right to the door. Many varied dining options within a 5 block radius. Very close to Senshu Park

I prefer a walk in bathroom as opposed to a "step up" bathroom. Small but has everything you might need

The hotel very clean, the room bigger if compare to another from our trip. The staff very friendly. 4-5 minute walk to the train station. We’re leave our luggage at the hotel, when we comeback to check in, all our belonging that we left at the reception are already in the room. That a plus service. I really high recommended. If I gave a chance to comeback to Akita I will stay here again for sure!!!

The breakfast was superb, one of the best we have experienced. The amenities were as expected of a Crown plaza, and the location was perfect. The off site parking was convenient and inexpensive.

The in room television set was not bilingual meaning we were unable to access Grand Sumo or the News at 7 on NHK in English. This was most unusual as even the most basic hotel has this facility.

Room was spacious, bathroom was spacious. Location is great, a short walk from Akita station and surrounded by 3 different types of convenience stores. There's also shopping nearby.

Room temperature is only controlled via central air conditioning. I stayed with 2 other people and the room was too hot even after the central heating was turned off and the window left ajar. (climate was about 12C nights at time of stay)

Excellent location which is just opposite the Akita station. The room is sizeable for triple sharing. The staff is friendly and provided excellent service. We delivered our luggage and they stored prior to our arrival. They even delivered to our room before we check in. The hotel is close to many restaurants and shopping malls, and within walking distance to attractions.

They do not have air conditioning in the room during our visit in Oct but provide heater. We found it warm as the weather wasn't very cold during our visit. Fortunately we can open the window to allow the cold air from outside to flow into the room.

We got a good deal on this place for a one night stay so it was much nicer than many of the other places we stayed in Japan. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly. The location was very central and close to the train station.

We wanted to check out the rooftop bar but it was a bit overwhelming being greeted at each floor by staff. We felt a bit pressured to buy dinner when we went to the top floor so we opted not to check out the bar.

Its a bit above average for price, but the service, room and bathroom are also above average Japan. International electrical socket, so no need for adapter. Breakfast is also good, but again price is also above average. Bed is very comfortable.

The main receptionist was poor in her english and didn't make you feel very welcome. While other staff members did their best to make you feel welcome.

12th floor is very beautiful place for breakfast. You have the view of the city and the mountains. Food is very plentiful and lots of choices to enjoy.

Every day one that there should a food that was served the day before. Something new everyday.

the provided large buffet breakfast was good, lots of terrific foods, area to eat and drink was roomy, inside the room had plenty of space, and close to station outdoor mall with attractions and restaurants.

The exclusive rooftop lounge was for ANA only, there was no onsen, or available laundry facility.
