- Super close and easy walk to Atami Train Station (<5mins); - Restaurants and convenience stores close by and bus stop right in front; - Self checkin was one of fastest and easiest checkin encountered (<3mins) but staff on hand also; - Tully Cafe on ground floor. Delicious meals; - Free breakfast was superb. Fluffiest scramble egg in muffin I ever have( - Room small but very clean. Bathroom toiletries were luxurious and smelt fabulous (similar to Aesop); - Aircon was strong; - No issues with WiFi. Reasonably quick for general use and streaming (not sure about gaming); - There is modern clean coin laundry and ice machine (and paid vending machine for when Tully Cafe is closed).

- Early 10am check-out; - Coin Laundry has NO coin change machine and front desk DOES NOT CHANGE MONEY. Furthermore, machines don’t take credit card or Pasmo or Suica. Only local payment like PayPay. No ¥100 coins (after cafe closed in evening), you need to walk out to Family Mart (drink vending machine in hotel also does not dispense ¥100 yen coins. A mix of mostly ¥50 and ¥10 and several ¥100 coins). - No luggage hold AFTER checkout. There are luggage lockers on ground floor, but they can only be used when CHECKIN, not AFTER checkout. Need to bring luggage to station to hold. Inconvenient.

Great location - only a couple minutes walk from Atami station. Clean and comfortable room, but a little basic. Washing machines always available and reasonable price (can check availability on the tv too!) but the dryers weren’t the best.

My room look straight on to the station so loud if the window was open so this could be off putting to some. With window fully shut it was pretty quiet though. Could not leave luggage after checking out, which is a shame. If wanting to explore Atami after checking out make sure you do so early to use the lockers at the station as they fill up quickly!

The hotel is next to the train station, which is also where our bus arrived from Hakone, so it was very convenient for us. The room was a good size. We were able to get our luggage sent there from our Tokyo hotel. They also had free lockers for storage before or after checkout, which were easy to use. Check-in was through an automated system but they had staff on hand to help navigate it. All of the staff members were very friendly and professional.

I wish the room had a kettle and cups in addition to the small fridge. The free breakfast from the cafe was interesting and probably very traditional - a grilled rice ball with a savory cake thing on top that you pour hot water over to make broth. We didn't like it enough to get it again our second day.

We had a great stay at Prince Smart Atami Inn. Location: Great location. Very close to the Atami station (walking distance) and very easy to locate if arriving by car Parking: Please do not park at the Times parking, which is in one side of the hotel. The actual parking lot for the hotel is on the other side of the building with their logo at the front. If unsure, please ask the staffs members. They were very willing to direct us to the right spot. Parking does close at 10pm as it is a car stacking system and the concierge is only there till 10pm. It does cost 1000yen, but cheaper than surrounding carparks. Staffs: Friendly and polite. Easy check in via the machine, staff is there to help if needed. We were also given 2 bottles of water upon arrival. Common area: Huge and modern. Presented in a cleanly matter Room: It's very spacious and clean. There's plenty spaces to hang clothes and you can easily open 2 large luggages in the room. Bed is very comfy and it comes with a smart TV. TV also shows other information about the hotel, including real life washing machine availability and washing time. Which makes it easy for guest to know, rather than going back and forth from room. Bathroom: was clean and has a bath tub. Free toiletries, pyjamas etc. are provided for free at the ground floor. Breakfast: was simple, but good enough for the price we paid. Facilities: There's microwave at the second floor, ironing area, venting machine and washing machine available. You can also store your luggages for free at first floor. Highly recommend!

The only downside is there's no kettle in the room. However, safety locker, slippers and fridge are provided.

For the price it is great value for money. The rooms are big enough to move around in and have two large suitcases with you. The complimentary Japanese breakfast is light but perfect to start the day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and I found the self checkin process very easy as the machine has an English version. We had a rental car with us and the staff were very good with assisting with the car stacking carpark.

I can’t think of any faults considering the price you are paying.

The location of the hotel is perfect. You can see it as soon as you exit Atami station. Self check-in is easy to navigate and the staff was very friendly and helped us along the way. You can grab only the amount of amenities you need, which is really good to protect the environment. The room was spacious, with a good view and a smart TV. We were able to have a good rest after a tiring day.

Breakfast could have been better. They give only one option of some ochazuke, that I didn't really like. If there was at least one more option would be great. Even a piece of toast. Also most of the tables were dirty in the cafeteria, because you have to clean after yourself and nobody does it.

Off top, we loved the location!! It's only a hop skip and a step away from the train station! There is a police station & kobini right at the corner. It's a bit away from the water front in Atami on foot. But we took an affordable short cab ride to the edge of the bay & made our way up to the beautiful Atami Castle on the hill. The taxi driver gave us some awesome recommendations for dinner spots etc. There is also the illusions museum & the adult art museum on the hill/castle. The rooms were a good size, we got two comfy twin beds which was perfect for our travel arrangements. The breakfast was simple an interesting for our taste, nonetheless we glady accepted it every morning and ate in the cool little lounge on the lobby floor. [I grabbed some extra goodies from across the street at the kobini for breakfast] There is also a few kool osen/bathhouses near by. The Onsen at the end of the beach is superb to say the least 🌟

The laundry room was small, in use quite frequently. It was a simple, comfy, affordable hotel and would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and were so pleased with the experience throughout our stay of another two more nights. Two individuals at the reception made our time there especially enjoyable—Mr. Shiroh Oda and a tall, slim young lady with glasses (unfortunately, we didn’t get her name). They were incredibly helpful with our inquiries and always ready to assist us when needed. The housekeeping staff also deserves special mention for their excellent service. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel!

This is great for easy check in close to everything. Excellent shower, room, we were met by a really friendly staff member and given water. Breakfast is basic but tasty with coffee and is served until 11! N meaning you can check out and have breakfast at a leisurely pace. WiFi is great. Decor is clean and modern. Room was a good size. Not much hanging space but adequate for a short stay. Tv has Netflix and YouTube access. Really catering to a modern traveller.

My husband found the bed to be narrow and uncomfortable but not me, it was fine. And the blind didn’t block all the light, so that would be an adjustment I would request. But basically all good.

Being close to the station, it was easy to get. Atami is too hilly. The room was quite small, but comfy. Breakfast was kind of unconventional, even for a Japanese, but did it's job. Shopping areas are close by. No need for any car.

Really nothing was a reason for any complaint. Except that the automated system can be confusing. However, entering the shower straight from the room was sort of unusual. If there was a spa in the facilities, in it would be perfect. But there is a discount for using the facilities at KKR Hotel nearby.
