The staff were really friendly and you got three onsens to choose from which is included in the price.

I got sick eating dinner from there. As they preordered the meals I couldn't cancel next day's meal. Luckily I was fine. I suspect it might have been the steamed seafood. None the less not worth the money as I threw up the first dinner and the second dinner was a bit small. It wasn't worth the money spent. I had better meals for the price. Also the extra price of bath in the room is just a bathtub in the shower room, not a balcony onsen. We paid extra for nothing. Slightly older rooms, but perfectly fine. Not true futon as they add a sponge base, but comfortable

We stayed for two nights. We got meals included and it was absolutely delicious. There was a huge variety of food at each breakfast and dinner. There were multiple different types of onsen that we could try out, including private ones, which is super awesome if you bring a partner. It was quiet and not too crowded. The times I used the public onsen, there was nobody else inside. The staff were super friendly and helpful! We could understand each other using English for the most part, but they used Google Translate if necessary.

Wish we could've stayed longer! It's pricy but definitely worth it. If you're consider going, please book!

My partner and I absolutely loved how well-kept and cozy this ryokan was and the service was top-notch and kind. There was a public bath on the bottom floor for all guests, and 2 private onsens we could rent for free for 1 hour (you pick either 1 or the other). Our only regret is not checking in earlier than after dinner (we were exploring the Hells) as we couldnt use the onsens to its full value. The classic ryokan breakfast the day after was nothing short of amazing, as pictured and each small dish was so carefully put together and tasted delicious. The little extras that were also great were the unlimited shochu in the lobby at night, and coffee service after breakfast in the morning. Location is perfect for us, as it was walking distance from 5 of the 7 Beppu Hells, and close to the steamed food centre (Jigokumushikobo Kannawa) which we had for lunch.

Amazing place! Loved everything about it. Great and very comfortable traditional rooms. Various onzens were absolutely spectacular. As somebody other review said - Go early and relax and get spoiled - you won't regret it. Staff was super friendly. Yukatas for women are beautiful and a great touch. Rooms are spacious, clean, and wonderful. Different public and private onzen options make the place like paradise. Traditional breakfast is very special. We want to go back!!! Easy parking and access. A number of dining options. Beppu is a great hotspring town.

Everything was amazing. Wish I could give the place more than a 10. Only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Not my first ryokan, but definitely the best. Amazing staff, who helped us when we were late to the check-in, as well as helped us with parking, getting the suitcases, and explaining to us anything we needed to know. Great location (We had a car and we didn't need it for getting around), and awesome Ryokan. a very nice room, amazing private onsen (with both reserved and first-come-first-serve onsens), and a pretty good Japanese breakfast. Futons are super comfy, the lobby is nice, and there is even free shochu. Will stay again.

We enjoy the stay very much.... *Staff are friendly and warm *Dinner is great with good taste quality and lovely presentation *Room is great with windows facing both sides (surrounding is a lot of steam of hot spring baths in the area). *Free parking just beside the entrance *Alternate onsen options (besides onsen in the room, there is also rooftop onsen (reservation required) choosing between 2 views, and another private onsen in a shack outside - no view except a small gap to view the sky/stars.

Staff was wonderful and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. It was a feast. Location was a little hard to find. It is near the jigoku or hells of Beppu. Roads were very narrow and we thought we couldn't drive in. Check out videos of the roads around it before heading there to familiarize yourself. The manholes around the Ryokan had steam coming up and it was fun taking photos and videos there. Sleeping on futons was comfortable for us. A thin mattress was placed under the futon so it did not feel like we were sleeping on the ground. The ryokan has an indoor onsen which does not require reservation but it is not private for your own use. It also has two family baths requiring reservation. The family bath was nice and hot spring water took away the weariness of the day.

We needed to make reservations for the family bath and we reached the Ryokan slightly before 5pm and many slots were taken up. We were left with a 7am slot. Limited to one complimentary onsen use per room. 50min maximum.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ryokan was located quiet location near the Beppu hells. The room was very clean and they provided beautiful yukatas for women and standard ones for men. The ryokan has 2 private outdoor onsens with mountain view and ocean view, and a separate onsen right outside of the property. There were two nice lunch restaurants nearby where they serve onsen steamed food, and one of them has a foot bath at the tables.

The dinner and breakfast were prepared with such effort. Throughly enjoyed the kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Also love the fact that besides the common onsen, there are other onsens like an outdoor onsen and 2 other onsens with mountain or sea view. The staff are so friendly and could communicate in English.

The road driving in is narrow and only allow one car in either direction to pass.

This is a lovely hotel in the onsen section of Beppu. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was walking distance to many of Beppu's highlights with plenty of restaurants around. The breakfast was amazing and worth every yen. Also, the private onsens were fantastic and offered great views.

The walls were a little thin so you could be disturbed by loud neighbors. It would be good for the staff to remind guests to be quiet at night.
