The staff was very kind & helpful. The location across from the lake, the boat & bus stop was excellent. We loved the openair private onsen & the view of Mount fuji on the 7th floor.

The hotel shut off the air-conditioning & waterfall mid-day. I'm assuming to conserve power? It was exceptionally hot & we liked the waterfall but twice they were both off. Also charging for ice seemed excessive & the traditional japanese dinner didn't cover drinks. Just seemed like every little thing was extra.

We had a fantastic stay in a traditional style Japanese room overlooking the lake. The views of the lake were absolutely beautiful, and you get a good view of Mt Fuji from the viewing deck on level 7. We also hired a private onsen that overlooked the lake and it was clean, relaxing, and such a nice way to unwind from our travels throughout Japan. We had a private dining experience and the food was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing, and great value for money in our opinion. Location was great and we were able to hired bikes from a store a few doors down. The hotel also has a shuttle bus which makes coming and going from the train station easy. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel. Staff were also very attentive and helpful.

The room was very clean and someone from the Hotel accompanied us to our room upon check in and showed us the facilities in the room. Our room was facing the lake and it was a beautiful look out to Lake Kawaguchiko. There were 2 onsen baths, one in the basement and another on the 7th floor. We had a really relaxing bath, with clear instructions as to how to use the onsen. We also tried out the massage in the hotel and it was not too bad. The souvenir shop had a wide variety of goodies which is worth getting. There is also a hotel shuttle to and fro to Kawaguchiko bus station. The hotel also responded to all our queries online, before we arrived and they were very prompt. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Highly recommend!

The view of Mt Fuji was somewhat blocked by some housing in front, even on the top floor. We wished we had more time to drink our green tea but it was taken away in the evening. Wish there were some green tea bags in the room.

1. The room was nice and clean. Everything was set ready for us. 2. The staffs at this hotel were extremely friendly. They showed as around and explained everything in our bedroom and the hotel facilities. 3. The hotel facilities was perfect, they had a grand entrance with comfortable seats and importantly the large onsen. There was one onsen that could see Mount Fuji which fulfilled our wish.

We loved our room with a view, we booked lake view, it was beautiful, our bed were comfortable, but could have been more padding since we did sleep on the floor. Staff was super helpful and friendly, super clean area. Nice and quiet. Also lived we had a hot tub on our balcony. Nice touch. The public baths were also a nice touch. We liked how that had a green tea set up in the room to prepare a pot of tea when needed. The room was clean as well

Breakfast was super disappointing, it was traditional Japanese style, should have known. Waste of money. No body wants raw cold fish cakes and raw cut squid with cold noodles from breakfast. Wish I would have only done breakfast 1 morning instead of the three. The beds could have had an extra layer of foam for the ground, a little hard at times.

Gorgeous, gorgeous Onsens, especially the rooftop one with perfect lake views. Ok to use with tattoos too. The breakfast was excellent also, and staff was super accommodating and lovely - when we were going to miss breakfast due to an activity we’d booked, they happily packed us a bento box. Pro tip: don’t miss booking a dinner to your room, that was the highlight of our stay.

It didn’t detract from my experience, but you can tell that the hotel is a little older, parts felt a little dated, but I enjoyed the retro charm.

Amazing experience from start to finish. We had the half board option and the in room dining was fantastic. Gracefully presented and super yummy. We’d booked the private onsen so could bath as a couple (make sure you book in advance before you arrive!) which was lovely looking out over the lake. I also used the women’s onsen the next morning which was really nice. We’d booked this as a treat experience and it was a bit expensive but totally worth it.

Nothing really, we did try to sit in the lounge for the end of the evening but there were no lights!

At first we were unsure about the location, although it’s on the Lake the approach to it is very touristy but the view of Mount Fuji from the top floor made up for it. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We paid extra for a large room with our own bathroom and it was beautiful (we didn’t pay extra for the view but that didn’t bother us). We paid for the private onsen which we loved, view over the lake & the hills was lovely. The dinner in the private dining room was fun…there are a lot of courses. Allow time for breakfast as we had to rush ours to catch the train.

The area is very touristy. We were really fortunate to have great views of Mount Fuji but not sure what else we’d have done. But this doesn’t detract from how lovely the hotel was

Property is in a great location, the facilities are great, and staff are super friendly. It was nice to get a free breakfast, and the option to have a private or public onsen.

The breakfast is great but it’s very local food, so as much as we tried we often found a lot of the items would get left behind, some couples would arrive and leave without touching the food. Felt quite wasteful. Also, the private onsens are great, but it wasn’t clear how clean they are, there seemed to be mould on the roof and the wood seemed to be in desperate need of a clean or complete replacement

Nice and spacious traditional rooms with a lovely view. We booked the room with in room spa which was relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfast was huge. Though Fuji is only visible from the top level terrace not the lake view rooms it is a pleasant walk around the lake to see spectacular views of the mountain including lake reflections.

We booked one of the best rooms but at breakfast were seated in a corner of a back room despite the breakfast room with a lake view having empty tables. As the large breakfast is already set out it moving was not an option.
