The cottage was “postcard like” cozy! The living room, dining table, and little kitchenette were on the lower floor, and the bedroom was upstairs. We had amazing views of Mount Fuji right from our bed – it was breathtaking. The place had bike rentals too, so we rode around the area on our first day. Plus, there were few restaurants, a Family Mart, and a 7-Eleven all within a 5-minute walk, which made grabbing snacks or meals super easy. One cool thing we didn’t know at first was that the Forest Music Museum is just a 3-minute walk away – and it’s also a stop for the red-line hop-on hop-off bus. Normally, you’d have to go all the way to Kawaguchiko Station to buy tickets and board the bus, but we just bought them online and hopped on right there. Made everything so much easier! The best spot along the red-line bus route was the rope way. The views from the top were really good I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing stay with amazing views and super convenient access to nearby attractions.

The apartment is spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed! The owner was around when we checked in and she patiently showed us around and taught us how to use the stove, heater etc. Owner was kind to let us use washing machine and dryer after office hours. Beds were big and comfortable. Nice bathroom with tub. The apartment was well lit and in a quiet neighbourhood. Amenities were plentiful, even oil and seasoning for cooking!

A little out of the way from bus stop (midpoint between stop 15 and 16, ~10 mins walk with luggage). Can be dark in the evening so please bring a torchlight with you.

Great location with a clear view of mt. Fuji. The host was nice and help change the defected hair dryer quickly. They have a washing machine yet there’s charge to use it, 500 yen for a one-time washing and drying clothes. Bicycles for rent 500 yen per day as well.

There’s no place to hang towels or clothes, make it less convenient. The scissors in the kitchen is quite dirty and the soy sauce was expired. I hope there will be a price list for whatever is extra when I book the stay, like the fee of using the washing machine.

The accommodation is clean and spacious, with plenty of beds that are very comfortable. The bathroom has a strong shower, and all the household equipment works well and is relatively new. There is a small lawn and a sitting area for gatherings and barbecues, along with a view of Mount Fuji, which can be seen from the bedroom, bathroom, and living room. It's absolutely amazing. The owner is also very kind.

We had such a pleasant experience staying at Cottage Minami, for our group of 5 people the size of this cottage was more than enough, very clean, spacious and comfortable. Location was very close to Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum and also walking distance to 7Eleven & Family Mart and red line sightseeing bus stop. The landlord was really nice and helpful with our inquiry and can converse in English very well. We are lucky enough to be able to see Mount Fuji when we woke up. Highly recommend this cottage.

Location was great, and we could see Mt Fuji from the living room on clear days. The children enjoyed climbing up to the second floor (where the shower and bedroom was), as well as running in the garden. The host was nice and helpful.

On clear summer days, the sun shines into the bedroom and onto our faces. It woke the kids up earlier than we would like, but it did mean we get to start touring the area earlier! Not a complaint, just something to take note of, for light sensitive sleepers.

We enjoyed our stay at cottage minami. It’s clean and cosy. Two toilets (one on ground floor and another on upper level) is a definite plus point. It’s serene home with an amazing Mt Fuji view!

The minor inconvenient is that the washer and dryer is at the office. So if you are doing laundry at night after a long day out, it’s some exposure to the insects during summer nights.

It was a very pleasant stay for my family of 3. Super clean house that shows how detailed and mindful is the host. I would highly recommend those who drive (more convenient) and like to see Mount Fuji to stay in this lovely house. Host Megumi responded real fast and check timing of our arrival time. Waited and hand over house keys upon arrival. Plus provide pepper, salt and oil for light cooking.

Our host is super helpful. She answered questions very quickly even before we arrive at the place -- A very lovely and friendly host! Location is perfect. Walking distance to Momiji Corridor or you can just walk across the road to watch sunset with Fuji view. You can even see Fuji-san from the bedroom window. The apartment has everything you need. The bedroom is huge with 6 comfy beds so it would be great for family. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit :)

First, the location is just perfect! You can see Mt. Fuji from the bedroom windows in the morning, and if you want an even better view, Lake Kawaguchi is just a 2-minute walk away. There is also a Family Mart and a bus stop for the sightseeing Omnibus within walking distance. Second, the cottage is clean, comfortable, and way more spacious than a typical hotel room. Last but not least, the host is very kind and made us feel at home during our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The stairs leading up to the bedroom are quite steep, so I would advise those with joint issues or other physical impairments to be careful when going up & down the stairs -- thankfully, there is a handrail you can use. If someone is unable to climb up the stairs, there is also a futon on the ground floor that could serve as a mattress.
