This was an amazing place to stay. The villa was private and very spacious. There were only two of us but the villa can easily fit in a family. The location was amazing with the villa facing Mt Fuji. Getting up in the morning and looking straight out onto the mountain was a site to behold. It really does help if you have a car like we did. That way it is easy to travel to the supermarket which is about 15 minutes aware and attractions. The kitchen and entire villa was very well appointed so it’s great if you want to take a break from eating out and cook your own dinner. The area was great. You are a little away from the tourist areas but only a short drive to the lake.

WOW! Amazing villa with view of Mt Fuji. The villa itself is 10/10. Clear instructions to everything in english. Centralised heating for whole house, with A/C units in every space. It was rainy season and temps drop to below 0 celcius at night outside but we were in the warm tropics inside. The kitchens were fully equipped for home cooking. The futons in tatami rooms were great and so comfy. Huge bathroom with full-sized tub. Complete amenities: coin laundry beside the reception, parking lot outside of own unit, and bicycles for rent. Really helpful staffs too. Location is 10/10 as well. Unobstructed view of Mt Fuji. 1km to lake Kawaguchi. 10 mins drive to the town center for shopping. We recommend Ogino after 8pm for discounted packed meals (the sashimis were delicious and cheap!!). We could've had BBQ at the villa with trouts we fished at Inokashira Park but we got back quite late in the evening. 10 mins driving through the tunnel (with fully separated bicycle lanes) to get to Arakurayama. All in all, we were just blown away with our stay. Highly recommended!

This is such a cute little house, walking distance of the lake, easy to get to Fuji-Q and other lakes on the buses. The view is beautiful, especially from the little loft spaces, we got lucky that Fuji was so clear on both days. You can rent Yukata, BBQ, bikes (they do only have 3 though so if you're a bigger group you'll have to head into town) The staff were so kind and helpful! Also it was very clean, had towels and toothbrushes, lots of kitchen appliances, we didn't use the washing machine but you can pay to wash stuff and borrow detergent, and they have a dryer too. The big wooden table was so nice to have dinner at, you can sit on stools at one end or on floor cushions the other end :)

The villa was well furnished, complete with toiletries, towels and cooking ware. Good holiday home for big families and good value for those travelling in large groups. You will also get a good view of Mt Fuji during clear days, with great photo spots around the villa.

The villa was quite far from the main road and accessibility might be an issue for those without a car. Being 2 storeys, it might be slightly challenging for elderly to move up to the bedrooms. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay during a holiday at kawaguchiko.

The Indigo cabin was fantastically spacious, with two very convenient toilet rooms. Very much appreciated the private drying/changing room anterior to the shower room, as well the nice covered back porch with seating and a great view of Mt Fuji (when the clouds parted). Excellent and clear labelling on the plentiful supplies. Reception was very responsive and helpful, providing transportation to and from the bus station and making a needed stop en route from the station to the lodging.

Nothing - everything was great!

Villa Orange was a real gem. We booked this place in the hope of seeing Mt Fuji and spending a quiet night away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo in beautiful surroundings. That's exactly what we got in very spacious, well-equipped accomodation. We wish we had booked more time there other than just 1 night.

It was great for us as we hired a car from the shinkansen station in Shin-Fuji. The place is a little out of the centre of Kawaguchiko so, with no vehicle, it could be more difficult to get around.

Beautiful property. Traditional Japanese guesthouse. But check the weather before you go!! I visited for 2 nights in Oct and it was grey and rainy (sunny in Kyoto!) No views of Mt Fuji, and not very pleasant for walking or cycling. The property is on the quieter side of the lake so you will need to walk or cycle to restaurants/grocery store. Only worth visiting if the weather is nice.

I tried messaging through Booking.com to confirm station pickup. No response. Tried emailing. No response. Just a heads up. Friendly receptionist but very limited English.

The house is very comfortable and homey; the kitchen is well equipped; the view of Mount Fuji from the bedroom is magnificent; bike rental service; shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station; quite location with convenience stores within walking distance

Since the location is far from the center, there are not many restaurants options nearby. But we didn’t mind that because it was fun and comfy to do groceries at the convenience stores and then cook and eat at home.

I booked a stay for 3 people at Villa Orange Cabin for my first trip to Kawaguchiko. At first I had worries about the location, which seems far from the station, but booked anyway for the Mt. Fuji view. Turned out the location isn't that bad, about 5-10 minutes walk from the closest Sightseeing Bus station. There are also free shuttles to/from the villas to Kawaguchiko Station that you can arrange with the receptionist beforehand. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing, especially in the evenings. The view was marvellous — though it rained a lot and we couldn't see the mountain, on the last day it was clear and sunny. We woke up to Mt. Fuji in front of our bedrooms and it felt surreal watching the light change against the mountain and sky. The villa itself was spacious, clean, and full of amenities, perhaps even more than the average hotel. I especially love the tatami room and Japanese bath. We were assisted by super helpful and friendly staff throughout our stay. Special thanks to Masumi-san for picking us up from the station and dropping us off there after checking out! ✨ I highly recommend Villa Orange Cabin if you're looking for a peaceful, local experience at Kawaguchiko with your family and friends.

We booked the standard cottage but got a lucky upgrade to the superior. The wooden cottage is spacious, fully equipped with all utilities you may need for your stay, especially if you love cooking. The place made us feel likes home. The bath tub is large enough to fit 2 persons. There are 2 separated toilet rooms. The location takes some walk from bus stop 16/17 but you will love the atmosphere along the route. The staffs are also very kind. There is also a free shuttle service from/to Kawaguchiko station.

We stayed there on the rainy days and unfortunately could not see the Fujisan from the balcony which is not any fault of the place.
