When we arrived we contacted the accommodation and they sent a shuttle bus to collect us. The staff were always incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. The view of Mt Fuji from our room was truly spectacular and the room itself open and spacious. The kids loved it too and found the nook at the top they could climb up and sleep in super fun. There is no food available at the resort which they had notified us about but the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We actually found a small local butcher and purchased Wagyu at a ridiculous cheap price and ate like kings!

The environment is quiet, good to getaway from the busy city. Air is very fresh and a fantastic view of Mount Fuji (depends on room category), I got a medium cottage. Staff is very nice and helpful, most can communicate in simple English and there are a few who can converse very fluently! Walking down hill and to nearest Family Mart is around 10-12 mins and where cafes are available as well. There are buses and transport well-connected to bring you to the busy area of Lake Kawaguchiko. Best if you can drive, should try driving, parking is easily available.

December could be too cold. ha ha ha. Staff do brief us on heater operations but would be advised to warm the entire cottage as soon as you arrive but that is part of EXPERIENCE!!! It is fun!

Great views from the cottage - we were able to directly see Mt. Fuji from our cottage. Lots of parking spots right in front of the cottage if you are travelling by car. Cottage is very spacious and could accommodate a large group, there are three separate toilets, one bathroom and another shower room so that you don't have to wait long to use the bathroom if you are travelling with a large group. There is a kitchen inside the cottage so that you can cook meals in the cottage if you would like to. A BBQ is available right outside of your cottage, but you will need to pay to use this and bring your own ingredients. There is also a "scenic bath" that you can pay to use as well, with direct views of Mt. Fuji. There are vending machines around that also sells beer so if you run out of drinks, you won't have to jump in the car to get to a convenience store to buy more. Overall, great place to stay in and it exceeds my expectations.

Beware of the narrow driveways if you have a large car. Location is great but not close to any shops on foot.

Excellent view of Mount Fuji. The cottage is clean and well equipped. Would love to stay longer to explore the facilities of the resort. More suitable for travelers who drive. Got a few parking spaces in the resort so it’s manageable to bring the luggages to one’s assigned cottage. Convenient stores are just located a few minutes drive away. There is a small shop in the resort that sells a few grocery items like rice, salt, oil and ice cream! 10-15 minutes drive to tourist spots, supermarkets or restaurants.

Spacious cabin, for a family with 4 adults. There are mattresses on which you can have a decent comfort. Breakfast was excellent, we asked for vegetarian which was possible. We even requested an extra night, and the manager managed to arrange it for us. Excellent service.

Gorgeous location with great views of Mt Fuji. The private outdoor bath was amazing, I also enjoyed the hammock on the balcony, that was a wonderful way to spend the evening. Great breakfast spread too that they deliver to your cabin. Staff super friendly! There’s a 7/11 about a 20 minute walk away if you need to get food. Beds were very comfy too, we will be back!

This is my second time staying here. A good place for peace and quiet, away from the noise of the city. The space is spacious. The staff is helpful and keen on our happiness. The place helped me complete my work remotely.

It's far from most of the services you might need, including basic groceries (our host told us about this here on Booking.com). Sometimes you have to request a private car to get there and shop for what you need. Also, using the washing machine costs 1,000 yen, compared to 500 yen last year. I was hoping for a view of Mount Fuji, but unfortunately, there were buildings and trees between us, blocking the view. Unlike last year, the view was wonderful. In town, there was something resembling fireworks during the day, which disrupted the peace early in the morning and was annoying, especially with the echo.

The room we got is up to excellent location although there is no personal onsen but we did enjoy the tub bath😉 and the view to see Fuji in the morning was so amazing! He showed up and gone.

Spacious, amazing views and location overlooking the lake and Mount Fuji, the villa complex has a smart look upon arrival and the reception with terrace and the grounds appear very stylish and well maintained.

Once you enter the cottage you are a little surprised to find it is has a bit of an old style and fittings and general interior are dated - I think it’s an old complex that has been spruced up - I hope they have plans to renovate the interiors to match the first impression which set expectations high. That said it’s good that they are reusing the building an and giving them a new lease of life, I think it’s a great project.

Well really, what was there not to like? It is a beautiful property in a lovely setting with views of Mt. Fuji. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, the staff was very friendly and accommodating (holding the free shuttle bus in the morning and calling us to let us know was really great since we were running late!). The town of Fujikawaguchiko is close by (short drive, but a pretty long walk), and all of the sites we wanted to see were easily accessible from town (there are a number of buses that take you to the scenic spots, but we ended up renting a car which was super easy and made getting around great!).

There was nothing to dislike.
