the room we booked was the traditional Japanese style and it was very spacious ! the hotel staff were so lovely and helped us with any issues we had (even what to do with buying the wrong JR tickets)! there were also free shuttle buses starting at the hotel almost every hour or so, so it was convenient for heading to the ski slopes ! (it was also the first stop for the shuttle bus so we’d always get a seat ! )

the hotel is a little bit out of the way of the main areas so if you’re wanting to get back after a night out, taxis are very hard to order (there are no buses or shuttles to take you back)

Good value for money. There are indoor and outdoor onsens. The breakfast is good. They change some of the food options everyday. Many parking spaces. Shuttle buses to ski resorts stop in front of the entrance.

This year, it provided ski rental on-site. But this service was only available at weekdays. It was not mentioned when I asked and we did not make other ski rental reservation. Unluckily, we started our ski rental on Saturday and found out that it was not available on-site. We then needed to look for ski rental shops and lined up for more than an hour.

The staffs were very nice for us, even we could not reach to there within cheking in time (22.00). The staffs left the notes and room's keys for us (3 rooms) to stay in the late night at the front desk, then we came to check in process in the morning. They got the Happo-One and Happo Iwatake in hotel rate, those are cheaper than buying at the ticket station. Our rooms were capacious. We liked indoor and outdoor onsen. We had to pay onsen tax for hotel per person.

The Breakfast is quiet short time, only 7.00 am - 8.30 am. If you have to leave from hotel early, they can not provide the breakfast box set for guests.

The staffs were so nice!! My family and I drove from Kamikochi and met the traffic jam about 4 hours in the underconstruction road. I had to check in before 10 pm but I reached to the hotel at 12:15 am. Nobody waited for me to check in but they left the room keys for us to get into our rooms. We were so impressive about that!! Thank you so much!!! After that we just came to check in process after 7 am. They provided free parking, breakfast set. The rooms were very big. We could easily open our luggages and walked around our rooms. There are indoor and outdoor onsen for men and women. The hotel's location is not far from Happo-One and Happo Iwatake ski resort. We bought the Happo-One ticket at the front desk and we got the discount price. ^^

Breakfast started 7 a.m. - 8.30 a.m. The breakfast was too short and quite rush for us.

Onsen is very big, and even with outdoor Onsen spot. Very good relaxing after a whole day skiing. Good location for bus travel. Great staff to book taxi for us to catch the early bus.

Nothing about the hotel. But it would be better if welcome note is clearer on the distance between the hotel with the Happo bus terminal. (2.6km) It is not quite possible to walk 2.6 km from the bus terminal to the hotel with heavy luggage in a snowy day. But we didn’t know that until we got to Hakuba. Too late…

The rooms are spacious and clean, the onsen is fantastic, the breakfast is good, and the town’s shuttle busses to the various resorts stopped right outside the hotel. It is also a quick 12 minute walk to Echoland where you can grab a dinner and drinks at various pubs / restaurants/ cafes.

Only one washing machine in the laundry was working, the other two were out of order. That’s not nearly enough to service all the guests. Also, the table cloths at the restaurant aren’t replaced and cleaned daily. It had the stains from previous days on it. Thats a shame because the rooms and facilities overall are so clean and tidy.

The breakfast was wonderful - so many choices and everything was delicious. The staff were attentive and helpful.

We loved everything! The wooded location was so peaceful and relaxing. We wished there was a shuttle in the evenings to take us to town where our friends were staying, but taxis weren't too expensive and were quite convenient. The ski shuttle was great - it was so nice being right at the first pick up spot. We always knew we would have a seat, and the "door to door" service was such a treat - right from the hotel to the ski resort, and right back to the doorstep of our hotel. It doesn't get any easier than that! We LOVED it!

Great onsen! Just use that for showering and relaxing, if you're comfortable with public bathing. The bus arrives on schedule at the door for the main ski resorts and to get to the bus terminal (and I think the train station as well). Short walk to the main street where food is (but it is a very busy street during dinnertime, so plan). One employee spoke English well, and the other staff were accommodating and polite regardless of the language barrier. Large room for 4 people, all in separate beds!

Consider most issues are due to language barriers: The hotel restaurant requires booking a day ahead including your food order. We were not aware, and we did not get this information out until 3-5 attempts to access the restaurant/order "take-away" (which is an option on the menu). Ski rental service was adequate but difficult to get confirmation and further instructions following the emailed reservation request. Also, I wished the return time of rental equipment be 6 pm rather than 5 pm, so I could take the latest bus back without penalty on rentals. The drying and washing facilities are old and need upgrades or maintenance. The bedroom was musty, so we often left our door wide open to air it out.

Lovely onsen. Very nice hotel. Good storage lockers for skis, you get your own locker and key. Bus stop right outside the door. Good breakfast. Loved it! Nice spacious rooms, lots of wardrobe space. Nice to have a choice of pillows. Nice view. Staff very helpful.

Beds were a bit hard, but still ok. Bathroom a bit small. 15 minutes walk into town. TV quite small. These are minor points, we really liked this hotel, and hope to come and stay again.

Having the ski shuttle bus right at the door is a big bonus. Our rooms were comfy and spacious. The breakfast was nice and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. It's not a very long walk (about 10mins) to other eateries and convenience stores. The onsen was really good too.

The washing machines... only 1 of the 3 machines was working. 1 washing machine to share between all of the other occupants of the hotel just doesn't cut it. There was a funny smell on the 2nd floor - I'm not sure what it was.
